Wouldn't have expected @GrySun with the Big Mom pick. For some reason I seemed to remember you didn't like her. Also she's not primarily seen as sword fighter I guess. But she's an "interesting" sword wielder for sure, seeing as her sword is actually an animate being created from part of her own soul.

Overall nice picks here, though I agree none of them really deserve to be higher.. except Griffith I guess. Guess most went with the other one..

Fun fact: I actually started reading Claymore because I realized I didn't have a single female character on this list (couldn't bring myself to put Olivier over that top 10 so she ended up as a honorable mention, still nice pick @Erinyes), and I've been putting of reading it for ages. Placed her low though since I'm not very far into the series but so far it doesn't disappoint, and Teresa is probably my favorite so far.

 

[Valhalla]

I was considering Haru from Rave, Satsuki from Kill la Kill and Teresa from Claymore as well, but in the end i had to leave them out with Satsuki being the last one to drop.
I greatly enjoyed the character of Teresa and her awesomeness with the sword but there are a select few characters in Claymore where i enjoyed seeing their swordplay just a bit more than hers, you'll see @Organizized

First I liked her, seemed like a very good Yonko in terms of everything that makes a Yonko. Then she became bad, together with the whole arc she was in. So it‘s complicated.

However I still think she‘s very strong and one of those characters that can‘t be defeated without some strange circumstances that always happen in OP. So in terms of strength she definitely deserves a mention, remembered her power with the sword while riding Zeus with high speed.
In terms of character less so, but 1 point it is.

Askeladd may not be as impressive with his swordplay as some of the other characters on this list, but he's one of my favorite manga characters overall so he just sort of slipped onto my list by default... and also (just like I wanted at least one female character) I needed at least one character who isn't a samurai/bushido-type swordsman ffs!

One Piece has too many swordsmans and I forgot to pick most of them... Great pick @Erinyes, Law is a very loved character but kinda underrated when it comes to be a swordman.

@Nii I couldn't decide if to put Ryuko or not, but now I regret it, kinda want to re-watch the show just to see her fighting now.
