➤ "Won in what sense?" as in succeeded in achieving his goal(s) or disrupting the main and/good entities - and this is also a reference (as in Eren was supposed to be the main/good force and he eradicated 80% of humanity, pure evil), not a restriction, the true answer is up to you: why were you rooting for this villain/antagonist? Go with that

➤ Honorable mentions are allowed, with a max 10 limit
➤ As long as the deadline is not reached, you can change your list as much as you want
➤ Please, rank your top following the usual format:

I did my list yesterday

and it was really painful to narrow, (im still wondering "should i have put this one intead of this one ?", and still questioning some of the stuff i didnt choose) narrowing to 10 was really diffcult i think 20 should be maybe better.
i tried to put some more or less equal amount of insert songs, ended up with 40/60% wanted to add a memorable track from each great ost but actually couldnt manage, theres a lot of great tracks i had to suppress to fit the top 10.

but i do think one or 2 of my picks might be shared (not sure though considering the infinity of possiblities)

The more i thought about all the possible nominess the harder it got, so i just went with my gut feeling :xp

like you said its pretty hard, especially for someone who listens to anime ost albums on a daily basis (like me). But honestly choosing top openings and endings was way harder. I had already like a gazillion openings and endings listed in my txt.file, so picking just 10 was madness :smile-big

Well, wouldn't it include OP and ED because they're almost always on the OST too? So they should be technically allowed, but making it broader allows for much broader stuff.

Well, I've gone and done included one then.

It is the first real song played in the film, but the film doesn't really have an 'opening theme' (or at least I'm willing to claim that, to include it on my list) [unlike one of my favourite pieces from anime films - which really is an opening theme] - also, it's a fucking great tune... so I'm gonna include it on my list and damn anyone who tries to stop me!

thats tricky because sometimes insert song is op or ed, like in fma b episode 51 the insert track is actually the opening 5 (sid rain). then you got things like classical or other music, like Mozart Lacrimosa played in hxh 2011, i guess it can be nominated (didnt nominate it though while the whole scene highlighted with this track was purely genious :zomg

)

Well shouldn't this be pretty easy? You can choose whatever track that doesn't play at the end or beginning of a movie or an episode. If it's the official OP that plays as an insert song once, that's still the opening. Though tbh I didn't really consider films, anime series are way more present in my mind :sweatdrop

Still was incredibly hard to choose 10, I tried to not think about it too much and mostly use what comes to mind first.

You say that, but there's a surprising amount of crap/non-tunes (as in background music that isn't really 'music' but more 'noise to fill in the silence') that is played in series I like

... also, loads of the music sounds super similar - and I wanted to make list that I thought was a little more 'interesting'
... and didn't want to just have 10 battle themes...

Rurouni kenshin prequel entire ost..for me
Etc..
I was making my list and I was getting so passionate and happy..
But it's so hard. ...

Although, this is exciting, probably my fav upcoming list. No doubt, there will be amazing ost nominated. I can't wait to hear what some of you will put on your list.

I'm just going to go with the flow and not think too hard. It's just a list after all.

well it was already extremely hard to pick only 10 so i didnt even consider openings/endings that play as insert.

i probably ddi it the wrong way, but i picked the 1st that comes to my mind, then narrowed but a lot of great stuff get lost in the process, sadly :errr

Yes. Songs that aren't OP and ED, that's why I use 'Little Busters by The Pillows' as an example since it's just an insert song:

And not just songs. Musical soundtracks as well. "Musical scores" is a more accurate term I guess.

No set deadline atm. I still have to do The Countdown for the ED songs.

Currently waiting or hoping to get a text/call from the companies I applied to the job fair last week as well...

I'm guessing they're letting the "cut-off" pass by before hiring new employees, or I was just unqualified or sadly, overqualified. Hopefully they call soon so I won't be 'broke af' anymore and don't have to worry about cutting 28~% of my daily food allowance for data, I already cut 18%~ of my daily food allowance for cheap dog food for the Chow-chow puppy (featured on my Facebook photo) that I now pretty much adopted. Sorry if it's 'too much information', just wanted to be transparent is all.
