Nadja was actually a decent love interest, though I feel she should have been hinted at or shown a bit earlier than she was. At least, Bartras and Denzel should've had a closer/familiar relationship with Gowther than they actually showed.

I did not care for Zhivago as he didn't feel like a natural inclusion and left the story as soon as he left. The only real payoff for his inclusion was in Lancelot's one shot. Even then, because we didn't spend much time with him, it doesn't hit as much as it should have. I'll have these same thoughts about a certain mascot's relative as well.

Nerobasta is eye candy who felt like she should have had a larger role than she did, especially since she was the first Goddess to manifest in the main story. She could've been the Goddess equivalent of Fraudrin. Hell, now that I'm thinking about it, Denzel could've been using the 7 Pledias as vessels for the Goddess Clan and they could've remained relevant in the story. Now that I'm thinking about it, along with her and Zhivago, Nakaba has done that for a few characters. Introduced them only to dispose of them soon after. It's super weird as they don't even push the story forward much.

The Indra were just a bit waste of potential.

I'd buy a Zeno plush.

Annie served her function as a minor character. Don't particularly care for the subplot she ended up a part of, but I'll discuss that when we get to the main two participants.

Matrona and Dolor are two characters who deserved way better, especially the latter. But I can probably fold my thoughts about them into my larger thoughts on Diane.

Cain was...there.

Dolor kinda stood out to me as a Giant because he is very different compared to his peers. Would have liked to learn more about this. Maybe it'll be explained in the current series.

Gowther VS Drefyfus was great. But Nakaba always finds ways to make Gowther's fights frustrating.

I don't remember how I felt when I read Hendrickson VS the Sins for the first time. But looking back it feels so weird now. Everyone but Diane could have defeated him solo.

Problem of the first saga of NNT was that the main characters were holding back to not kill their opponents, so the fights, especially on hindsight, feel with no stakes at all. I do remember to enjoy Everyone vs Hendy tho.

Problem of the first saga of NNT was that the main characters were holding back to not kill their opponents, so the fights, especially on hindsight, feel with no stakes at all. I do remember to enjoy Everyone vs Hendy tho.

I didn't dislike it but I don't remember how much I enjoyed it.

I remember reading the Holy Knight Saga way back when, and i remember it being pretty dope. At the time we obviously didnt know how much some of these characters were holding back and how truly powerful they were, especially a troll like Merlin, so the fights were very enjoyable.
I started reading the manga right around the reveal of Gowther (back when Dawn Roar, and regular Holy Knights meant something), and by the time when the series reached the Hendy fight, this was one of my fav manga reads. So i fondly remember the first saga, enjoying all the fights.

Gowther vs Dreyfus was a lot of fun. And yeah, his mere presence is frustrating when it comes to fights due to him being a one-shot machine and his seeming lack of limitations. It'd be different if he wasn't allowed to keep Herritt and he had to touch someone to work his magic, but he really had no weakness to speak of, aside from the 1 in million chance that two individuals occupied the same body. Nakaba tried to rectify this by later going with the idea that his targets need a viable nervous system to work on, but that just ignores the time he took control of Filet and Loin, which are just...rocks.

Hendy vs the Sins was a good team battle, but he really had no business holding the advantage like he was for as long as he was.

Looks like Vivian finally got her man in this ranking
I actually thought she was a pretty funny villain to have around. In a series that places so much focus on romance/romantic connections, it was nice having a villain who was a straight out Yandere for the guy she likes/liked.​

I don't really have an opinion about Nanashi. His particular "twist" seems pretty tacked on, but, presumably, we'll be getting some details on it later in the 4HoA.

Despite his limited panel time, I've been liking Ironside. His writing has been pretty strong so far. I'm looking forward to what he brings and, hopefully, his story sticks the landing.

He was unnecessarily cruel in the early part of the series and the series tried to sweep it under the rug with the excuse that it was all to protect Margaret. Except that most of what he did had nothing to do with protecting her and , technically, he put her in danger. We are told that Margaret would've been dealt with if Githunder ever went against Hendy. Flashback to early in the series, we see Gilthunder straight up snitching on Hendy to Dreyfus for being suspicious. His face turn was not handled well at all, imo.

I like crazy characters, so I like Vivian, despite the fact that she should be in jail. She's also interesting in the context of how this series handles romance. She's really the only character who is framed as sick and constantly punished for her loving someone.

I remember seeing him going from wanting to kill Meliodas and the other Sins to 'I was secretly on your side this whole time', and just being extremely confused.
That was the first writing inconsistency I noticed in the series . Howzer was handled better in how his character transitioned from being somewhat evil to naturally good.

I did find Viviann funny.

I liked Gilthunder much as the series advanced but clearly he is overshadowed in this series.
