Heyo and welcome to my Top 10. I'm your desin [dæ sin] and the idiot forcing people into the Body Improvement Club (shameless plug) because I'm a sucker for improvement and optimization. One thing I always knew is that I want my Top 10 to get personal. I want to know what moves all of you, so here we, are talking about one of those hard to describe feelings:

Inspiration

I want to know which characters in ANIME, MANGA, MANWHA, MANHUA, and LIGHT NOVELS made you move, change, or at the very least taught you something valuable. Don't limit yourself to Inspiration in the sense of buying ankle weights after seeing Gaara vs Rock Lee. You might be inspired to pick up a pen and start practicing your artsy skills after seeing some of the amazing artwork that we discussed in Revo's Top 10. You might even be inspired to take on a new perspective on a certain topic due to a character's story.

There's a difference between being inspired and influenced, and that latter definitely happened.

Hmm, well, being influenced isn't necessarily direct? Being inspired is, you feel actively inspired by something and you take action because of it.

Being influenced can be the same, but it's more something that happens indirectly, passively over time even. Now sure, it can be direct, but I think it mostly isn't?

For example, One Piece's whole friendship thing can inspire you to want to become a better friend, and you take action to be one.

But you can become a better friend by reading it, subconsciously acting better or alike as time goes on.

Hmm, that's the best I can do to explain it, right now. If it doesn't make sense I'll try again when Im home.

I think with me it's more about the series than the actual characters. It's not an individual thing, I guess.

Manga that arguably had the biggest impact on my life are One Piece and Bitter Virgin for example, but I don't feel inspired by individual characters, I feel inspired by the work as a whole. Those feelings carry over to the creator.
