Reason he's an HM is because of all the shit memes

Honestly, I tried to watch JoJo and couldn't get into it (and yes Farf, what I did see of Dio didn't generate that much interest) - so my only real experience of the characters is through said shit memes... His being the worst of the bunch



Demonspeed - Yuha Bach was a shit, waste of space character, sure. But I'm not sure he was 'annoying'
More similar to Madara or whatever-her-name-moon-bunny-god woman from Naruto...

All were utter wastes of good black ink - certainly how they were used in their mangas (Madara might be slightly less of a waste, if treated as a historical entity [like the SOT6P]...) - but their stories were already well and truly off the rails by the time of their [re-]introductions

If there is criticism to throw in their (Madara's, Yuha Bach's, and Moon-bunny hime's) directions then it would be that they were more boring than annoying...

Possibly an even greater (or equally damning?) sin for a 'final villain' to possess

I find it kinda hard to explain how I feel about Tenzen. He was definitely made to be hated but his antics make me think "How long will he get away with this BS?" He was entertaining.

I didn't find Basilisk particularly great but the Tenzen experience was something.

Might as well clarify this [the Big Mom] mention also

Many of my Honourable mentions have caveats to their inclusion (this is why 'honourable' and not 'main list' picks)


Big Mom was not an interesting character - I found her design to be less imaginative/thoughtful than many of Oda's designs

However, her arc (Cake Island) killed One Piece for me.
Up until then, I was reading the manga with some degree of regularity... I've not touched the manga since then

I hear that it's got better again, but it would take an awful lot to force me to skim through that train wreck of mediocrity/to deal with the tedious and uninteresting Big Mom crew/etc.

I think that ruining a manga I previously enjoyed is reason enough to be on an annoying characters honourable list



And aye, Tenzen is a trash character (though I still enjoy some of the character designs in Basilisk - especially the fact the 'hero'/MC has one of the least heroic powers of the whole manga)
