I wonder if there's a soundtrack that more encapsulates my childhood than Mumin. Maybe Ocarina of Time... They're both equally as close to my heart, honestly. And the OST still holds up so well, the series would be nowhere near as good without the perfect atmosphere and tone it brings to every scene.

Listening to Kamado Tanjirou no Uta again, you can say what you want about Kimetsu, but ufotable really brought out the full potential of the series. Moments like when that track plays will undoubtedly be remembered by many anime fans just because of the great execution.

The Infinity Castle movies will pop off for sure (wild take, I know).

The biggest issue I have with KnY as an adaptation is the pacing. Was way too slow sometimes. The way they are shamelessly milking it is also kinda crazy .

For Death Note I hesitated between L theme, and Law of solipsism



Kino no tabi has Pachelbel Canon, I hesitated but the track I picked is fitting so well Kino no Tabi essence. (another anime highly recommended, 2003 version)

all Cowboy Bebop tracks are legendary. I have another one on my list.
Overall Im impressed by the quality of the picks, I cant comment on everything, but I enjoy a lot, the picks being nominated , and it started in HM.

Hesitated between Number One and Number One Bankai but the OG is still the best.

All of this reminds me of how bad the sound direction is in this final arc. Or perhaps I should say that the OST is boring. Sagisu is very good, I guess even he wasn't very impressed by this arc...

My Kids on the Slope pick was actually "Kaoru & Sentaro Duo in BUNKASAI (Medley My Favorite Things~Someday My Prince Will Come~Moanin)".


Genuinely one of my favorite scenes in all of anime.

I do love the My Favorite Things OST as well, the playing is cleaner on that one and Ritsuka carefully singing in somewhat broken English is adorable.

But what I love about the Medley is that it has its slight misses in the playing, but that just adds to the feeling that it's like two friends having a final "argument" before making up. It's the way it seams together three of the pieces most important to the characters' arc, as if saying "we've been through all this, why are we fighting?". Also really not three songs that should work together as a medley, but somehow Kanno and the duo makes it work so well.

I've had moments like this, where the instruments do the talking and it makes you feel like you understand each other better afterwards. There's so many aspects to this show that hit home as a musician, but I think it can definitely hit just as hard emotionally for anyone even if they can't personally relate.
