Aaah, Komamura - a character whose main purpose in the manga is to highlight the power of newly appeared villains
A character who still managed to leave a fight with Kenpachi, without a scratch - being one of the few characters that Kenpachi fought and never beat

Far more honourable and loyal than most captains, with [in my opinion] the best looking bankai in the whole series - though I dislike the later 'shared damage' thing, his bankai is still cool

Fast enough to intercept high-ranking captains, multiple times - and also being fast enough to be the first to reach Aizen, during his switch (not that it did poor Komamura that much good)

He then took a lvl 90 spell and stood up after it

I think he's seriously underestimated - considering who he has actually been put up against in the manga and considering how he was being used in those fights

I really like this character - being far more interesting, to me, than regular, boring, powerhouses

Renji is ok for me, just for someone who was close to protagonist and took quite some spotlight, I can't recall him doing anything really significant to the story. But the other two... Busty queen of fairies, among which only two were usuful in the end, known for her famous quotes: "Kurosaki-kun", "Kurosaki-kun" and ofc "Kurosaki-kun". Just reminding that makes me wanna drink some herb tea

Ishida could have been a worthy rival for Ichigo, but he was shamefully wasted and reduced to a Quincy with endless PMS. And having the same voice actor as Sasuke didn't help here either.

She healed Grimmjow arm after all.

One of the few good things about her

Rangiku's a good character imo, funny when plot allows, serious when needed. I love her chemistry with Hitsugaya, with him desperately trying to be super mature and her trolling him. And her relationship with Gin is just

That I definitely disagree with that. I don't think any of that was planned at all. Pretty much everything around Ichigo's family just screams retcon to me. He worked it into the story relatively smoothly but I don't believe for a second that was planned.

It was planned for a while, at least, planned since the conclusion of the FKT arc.

The character that gets no goddamn love anywhere on the internet. He's a great character you fools. He's mainly looked down upon because he was sacrificed to the alter of Zaraki early on in the series, but he had a lot to him. Even moreso when the recent novels went into more about his backstory and why he did join Aizen and what his "Path of Least Bloodshed" actually meant.

Do you folks remember what @Jammin said about their reasons for liking Sakura or, at least, the idea of Sakura? Well, that's basically my same defense with Uryu. What he could've been is stronger in my mind than the reality of what he actually turned out to be. Kubo even built him up rather decently with the intrigue when the TYBW arc began, but he just didn't follow through. I actually think he's a good character, but, once again, he just got lost in the shuffle due to so many characters being in the story and the Shinigami taking the focus away.
