He is fun. Sure, one-dimensional as heck, but atleast that dimension is maxed out.

Kenpachi was great IMO. Just the idea that he didn't give a shit about his zanpakutou and just smashed people to bits anyway.

Kenpachi was close to making my list. Another character that generated excitement almost every time he got the spotlight. I remember one of the most badass moments for him imo was during the final arc when all the captains are getting beaten down left and right, and he strolls up having defeated 3 of them on his own. My fanboy meter went through the roof with that one haha.

Edit: I did not realize Byakuya was gone. He was one that would have instantly made it on my list had he bit the dust during the first part of the final arc. It was all lined up so well. Regardless, he was a solid character. Cheers to all who voted for him.

Mayuri probably is not rank one since zimbardo doesn't seem happy with the result.

Never understood or ever will understand the Ulquiorra popularity. And lmao at the 4>3,2,1 fraction

Because he was easily the most developed Espada with quite a bit of thinking capacity. Unlike other Arrancar, he sticked to his assigned missions and refused to take on unnecessary battles. He avoided arrogance and fought in the most analytical way possible. Only Starkk came close to being a character like this.

Above all, his symbolic emotion was nihilism, which captured the word Hollow perfectly (Again, Starkk is a very good one, as well, with solitude).

One of the most memorable characters in Bleach. His attitude and way of dealing with people was wonderfully written.
It was also hard to know where he stood on anything, what his motivations were, what he was going to do next

He was the right kind of powerful - an obvious threat, but it wouldn't be impossible to see someone managing to beat him

Zanpakuto wise, I have mixed feelings
I love the simplicity of his sword. The shikai ability (and activation command) is up there as one of my favourites in all of Bleach
His bankai, however, was uninspired and, honestly, I reckon that Kubo just ran out of ideas

Sure, Gin still managed to salvage something from it, purely on the way that he discussed/used it in his 'fight' with Ichigo - but I feel Gin deserved a load more than that
(even if it was undeniably powerful, it was a boring extension of his shikai and might well be one of my least favourite Bankais)

Although Gin never was in 1st place, something he shares with one more character in the final 6, he did have a good run in 2nd place during the first half of list submission - had we started the game 7 PMs prior, Gin would've finished in 3rd place
A position that I feel he is probably more deserving of...

... at least he beat Aizen in the rankings (if not in the manga), eh?

I actually mentioned that I'm still pissed how most of the Shinigamis seems immortal while Gin ( I know about Yamma :P ) just dies but actually even if I wanted to see more of him I'm kinda happy that he wasn't part of the last arc(s)..

Maybe I had more scenes of him in Hueco Mundo and maybe have him reveal Aizen secret to Ichigo ( he was putting some faith in him after all ) and have that play some part.

It's hard tbh even say how strong Gin overall was because the only bigger fight we saw from him was against Ichigo where he still didn't fight all out while making Ichigo his bitch.

The poison that strong with such speed is a deadly combination tbh and it's broken a little I would say.

BTW we earlier complained about Soi Fon Bankai and I will tell that something like Gin's Bankai would be perfect for Soi Fon ( at least that would fit her character )

Yes it was broken. I just don't get how you go from super long sword, from even longer sword but with deadly poison. Some Bankais just seem to have been made for drama or to fit at certain moments.

Ok skipping the Gin discussions as well cause he's a character that I'm curious about ever since he got introduced in the anime. His demeanor makes me think of Urahara so far, being all chill with a soft voice, teasing/pushing other people's buttons.

Also curious about Mayuri now cause he didn't look like anything special so far @_@ thought it was just a flashy random character. Hardy said he seems to be some sort of necromancer (tho my guess was torturer).
