Future Trunks (before Super) is one of my favourite characters simply for taking things seriously and being the most selfless saiyan, he was like the only voice of reason in the whole Cell Saga but, unfortunately, was surrounded by idiots.

But all the growth he got at the end of the buu saga was immediately retconned out in Super (surprisingly, not in gt).

Super did focus on him being a better family member but I assume that is not what you are talking about.

Anime filler confuses me greatly about Yemma, so I'm not too sure on him. In one episode he is nonchalantly taking care of a queue of the baddest strongest guys in the universe and just not giving a fuck, the other he is kinda scared of dealing with the villain of the day.
