What size tablet would you reccomend for digital painting?

Would a 4x6 work? Or is it too small?

Also, what is the difference between a Graphire and an Intuos? Could I do the same things with the Graphire that I could with the Intuos?

I have enough money for a 4x6 Intuos or a 6x8 Graphire Bluetooth.

So, help me out?

erm, tbh, i would determine it by the size or quality of the tablet... its how u use it and what skills you have.

i only hav an A5 volito 2, the only wacom tablet that was rated as a mouse replacement lol... not even a tablet XD

but yeah, i would say intuos 3 between your choice, but its up to u really

get Intuos if you are really got the long term continous drawing thought!!(can be use for few year!?)
get Graphire if you arehappy to try...save up money
(also there might be some second-hand to try?troublesome this way?)

i got a A5 working size intro3 (the second smallest one?the average one)and i feel very fine because i used a lot of A5-paper to draw ............even now!!!no scanning in years^^
i think 4x6 with work perfectly OK...
but you just got to get use to it(some people happy to be a PRO of pencil!!can you!?)
i have not yet see people talking a lot about the sizes of they tablet?!?!?(they loved what they pick?)

get some digi-art-magazine....
quite very very very often they talk deeps into "tablets".at least a hell better than my "advise"?

Intuos 3 is the best so far imo, but the sliders on the side get annoying when you accidentally touch them if you like holding your tablet in your lap.

4x6 is waaaaay too small for me x_o I use an 11x14 I think it was. I love the space, makes painting easier
