Alright, here's where you can discuss, recommend, or discover webcomics. Which is your favourite? Have you found a hidden gem few know about? Tell us!

I'll make a list here in the first post, so if you provide a link, a genre and a short description, I can add it in here.

[eni]We're not updating the first post anymore, but feel free to recommend webcomics and good online comic reads as well as free and legal amateur comics you can find online. They don't need to be manga style and it's also not important whether it's comic strip, page or chapter releases ;)[/eni]

MH recommends:

Gag-a-day Comics (pure and simple, a short strip, one joke a day)

Penny Arcade - The most famous webcomic of them all, Penny Arcade is a gamer comic with great timing and hilarious jokes.

Gags with continunity Comics (this is the middle ground, it's usually a rather short strip with a joke at the end, but it also has character development and that jazz)

Questionable Content - Indie rockers that hang out at a coffee bar, making intelligent puns, and have intricate love triangles.
Applegeeks - This is a beautifully drawn comic about guys who.. well, loves Macs. :amuse There's also a hot robot girl, and an evil squirrel, btw...

Story-driven Comics (these are the longer, heavier comics that have complex stories and more advanced art (that doesn't elliminate the jokes, though).)

Dominic Deegan - Great fantasy comic about a seer and his family. It has it all, good art, great characters, love, hate, friendship, drama, and a high pun precentage. Defintely worth a read.
Dr. McNinja - The title says it all, doesn't it? He's a ninja, who is ALSO a doctor! How ultimate is that? I know, it sounds like it just plays on various internet memes, but it doesn't fall into that trap, and the art, composistion and layout are what you would find in a store-bought comic (both are educated artists, and the inker works for Black Horse). It also has a gorilla, an evil corporate mime, a giant lumberjack, and raptor-riding bandidos, amongst other things...

Re: The Webcomics thread!

I recommend the only webcomic I'll ever read.

Gone with the Blastwave - post-apocalyptic comedy with groups of soldiers battling it out for... who knows what. Mostly dark comedy, infrequently updated.

Re: The Webcomics thread!

Oh, dark comedy sounds good, zindryr.

*suscribes to this thread*

That topic is nice. I'm not that familiar with webcomics. I read some daily comic strips, but these are German only, except Little Gamers, User Friendly and Oh My Gods! ... and maybe some more that will come back to my mind later >.>

Re: The Webcomics thread!

My first web-comic to read EVER. XD It's mostly Powerpuff Girls, but with cameo roles from other Cartoon Network characters. Not your girly type of comic. Action-packed too. XD

Bleedman's got another one in the works as well, based on the Grim Reaper from Adventures of Billy and Mandy. :D You can read them here at: http://bleedman.deviantart.com

I'm currently reading Questionable content and I like it! It's not hilariously funny nor absurdly funny but intelligently funny. I like jokes like that.:D

Re: The Webcomics thread!

I usually read the following ones, beginning with the ones I did not see in the thread :

Looking for Group : http://lfgcomic.com
The adventures of the justice-loving elf Cale'Anon and his (evil) "friends" Richard the warlock, Krunch the minotaur and Benny the priestess (is she a troll, an orc ?) Stupid, violent and funny. Inspired from WoW as well as other RPG.

The Dreamland Chronicles : http://www.thedreamlandchronicles.com
Original for a heroic fantasy comic as it mixes reality with scenes taking place in a magic world but unfortunately, the pace is sometimes very slow, although it is updated daily. Not always funny but at least very beautiful.

Realm of Atland : http://www.realmofatland.com
Another heroic fantasy. The adventures of Barry the zombie, Lily the priestess, Bruce the minotaur and Inky the pixie in a quest to save the world (as usual). Very funny and often surprising.

Dueling Analogs : www.duelinganalogs.com
Comic making fun of video games and developers. Similar to VGCats in some ways... but different.

Questionable Content : http://questionablecontent.net
"Intelligently funny", as bakashijinsan puts it. My favorite.

Dr McNinja : http://www.drmcninja.com
Ninjas, zombies, dinosaurs, pirates, evil lumberjacks and more...

8-bit Theater : http://www.nuklearpower.com
The real story of of Final Fantasy I :D

Re: The Webcomics thread!

I've read like a million web comics, and the only ones I like are vgcats and fan-boys.
