Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Actually Nanatsu should be 1st, not Conan. That's because Nanatsu also had LE which sold 40k according to the list and that split his sales. So Volume 12 totally sold around 348k.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

So it was first time Kindaichi was not including in top 10 oricon first week. I know it's strong week but still feel bit depressing since it deserve way more. but atleast Akechi spin-off doing well.

9) Koi No Katachi 7 (END) (136,238 // 136,238)
The manga name is Koe no Katachi

Top 50

Rank - Titles - Week's Sales (by copies ) - Total Sales

Why volume 12 said Nanatsu no Taizai while other volume said Seven Deadly Sins. please fix it with one either name.

---------- Post added at 02:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:55 AM ----------

Akame ga Kill got a good anime boost! Volume 10 sold 19k in 1st week, 52k in 2nd week and then got away of the oricon chart! Volume 11 1st week already sold 133k copies. So, by 1st week comparison is selling 7 times more, by staying at oricon comparison is selling 2.6 times more(supposing that this will be its last week in the oricon).

While in total number the increase isn't more, we can definitely say that the anime did its work by increasing the manga sales to more than the double of what previously was.

What the problem with Kodansha?
Ahiru no Sora is the best selling sport manga of Weekly Shonen Magazine in terms of individual volume sales, selling more than Ace of Diamond, Yowamushi pedal, Baby Steps even after those series got their anime. It also has more volumes than all of those series, except Ace of Diamond that has 5 more volumes. But they don't make an anime for it! Why?
The fucking series has 39 volumes right now, more volumes than Kuroko no Basket and Slam Dunk. The series has 10 fucking years right now. What are they waiting for?
If when it gets an anime, and is better it gets one, it doesn't have a long running anime I will be angry!

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

I didn't know :'(
But for what is said it seems he didn't accepted the project proposition, so maybe he is waiting for another better one?
For what I understood he rejected two propositions of adaptation. The first because of the proposed scenario being totally off. The second because they would only be able to afford doing PART of the manga and give it an original ending.

I hope some studio get interested in doing the manga justice by proposing a good scenario and having in mind doing a long running series out of it.
Toei comes in mind, but what was the last time they did a sport anime? And right now they are full with works :(

I'm crossing my fingers that it does, would be its first time to do so and a nice achievement to look at.

And BnH Vol.1 is STILL in the Oricon rankings, holy crap! Horikoshi landed something seriously HUGE there, so happy for him! <3

More impressed at Delicious in Dungeon myself, Harta just keeps putting out sleeper hits.

Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

From Harta I just want Sakamoto Desu Ga and Otoyomegatari anime adaptation. Delicious in Dungeon seems to be a really new manga, so it will take some time for even a Edited Manga to appear. Does Harta has any other good title?

World Trigger just sold 63% more than last volume before this went out of the ranking.
It had 4 more days of sales recorded, but is known that the other volume with 17 days of sales(this one has right now 14 days) it sold less than 135,207 copies(the worst title, of the week it disappeared from the rankings, sold 21k copies), so at the minimum this sold 50,592 copies more! So a great improve from the previous volume.

Looks like Nanatsu no Taizai volumes are starting to fall off, World Trigger might actually chart again next week.

I don't actually follow anything from Harta, although I've read a few chapters of Sakamoto and I'll probably buy that when it's out in English. Other than those three series, I think Hinamatsuri, Ran and the Gray World, and Immortal Hounds have decent followings, and Wolfsmund to a lesser degree. It's just surprising how well series in it do with volume releases, especially given that it's a fairly low-key magazine that doesn't even get published two months a year since the name changed from Fellows! to Harta.

While I'd like to watch an anime adaptation of Otoyomegatari, I fear that no studio could adapt as well as I expect this masterpiece coming from the heaven.

Will put them in my to read list. I have a still a lot to read so I don't know when I ever gonna have time for those titles. One interesting thing that I noticed is that the translators seem to love Harta titles, all of them have a lot of chapters translated. This is a good thing.

While I'd like to watch an anime adaptation of Otoyomegatari, I fear that no studio could adapt as well as I expect this masterpiece coming from the heaven.
There is an anime adaptation of Kaoru Mori previous title, Emma, that has a similar feel but is in England. So is possible to see how at least one studio adapts something like Otoyomegatari.
I didn't watched it, so I don't know if the adaptation was good or not. Does anybody watched it? Is it good?

Oh, Look. It was done by Studio Pierrot.
