Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4

@TemplateR:
Publishers tend to get this info from the Japanese publisher, in the past Saint Seiya Episode G and Evangelion final volumes had been revelead previously by IVREA, now planeta from Spain said so.. Let's just say that if Planeta said so, its a trustable source.
So yeah, finally Reborn ends and gets continued in Spain.

For spanish guys:
BTW chusetto if you are reading this I heard you asking about Neuro, good for you guys :)
Do you think they do plan on making a huge all-in-one Dragon Ball book?
Next time please ask if they have any plans to edit ONE PIECE Logs or Naruto compilation books in Spain, please.
Maybe Redon could ask that since he is like one of the biggest OP fans out there in Spain.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4

Hello! :amuse

I wanted to know if this magazine has some sort of inside track to Shonen Jump that all the other publications don't have. I am more inclined to believe Anime News Network when they said to at least wait to see what will happen because I know that they go out of their way to double check their sources.

I am still inclined to wait to see the actual chapters that come out before I believe anything. I just wonder if everyone is just waiting with such excitement to see Reborn! end or something.

I suggest, when you read news on ANN, you also check who the source is. When it's news about manga in Japan, the most probable source will be Manga News and a distant 2nd place probably Comic Natalie. The only difference is, that this time it's not an early photo from a magazine but inside info, which they find unreliable. So please stop pointing to ANN as a place for absolute confirmation, thanks.

The source this site has is basically always 2ch, which is pretty reliable when you know who's clued up and who isn't, but more often than not we're just all champions at pattern recognition and making wild predictions.

Or, like... Random guessers. Somewhere between those two things.

Another hint that Reborn might end soon:

Reborn Spinoff Manga Vongola GP Kuru! Ends

Toshinori Takayama ended his Reborn! manga spinoff Vongola GP (Grand Prix) Kuru! in the December issue of Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine on Friday. The manga debuted in the inaugural issue of the magazine last December. Shueisha will publish the third compiled volume of the manga on December 4.

At the end of the article:

Via Manga News
Is everything manga-news posts from 2ch (apart from the watermarked images)? Last time I spoke to someone writing news, they said they got most of the stuff before 2ch.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4

-.- Ok, but the source isn't 2ch, its not manga news, its not comic natalie, its not mision tokyo..
A couple of posts ago Redon posted and I am quoting.
Planeta DeAgostini Cómics, spanish publishing house of Tutor Hitman Reborn!, announced that Tutor Hitman Reborn! will end in Volume 42.
As naruto-niichan wrote, the kodomo Reborn ending is another hint that the manga is about to end.
For the publisher of REBORN in Spain to say that the manga is about to end should be pretty much taken as official confirmation, after all if it weren't ending they wouldn't have said so, and btw while I don't know where Redon got his info I trust him because he hasn't lied, he always gets correct OP spoilers and stuff, he is reputable. He probably got the infro from Planeta in the Salon del manga event that was held this week.

@Bianchi Chrome:
I'm not excited to see it ending, but I am glad its ending before it gets cancelled or something.
I am with you, though, I have had favorite mangas of mine ending, my tip is to get into another similar manga or just wait for the author's new manga, I'm sure Amano returns to JUMP in like a year and a half or 2.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4

I heard the information in Planeta press conference last Saturday, I think Shueisha gave Planeta DeAgostini Cómics the information directly.

Here all the news about the press conference in a spanish blog.

http://www.misiontokyo.com/noticias/11179/planeta-editara-nausica-auml-fenix-y-regreso-al-mar

"Recently they announced this Manga will end with 42 Volumes in total."

That blog will upload the press conference today or tomorrow, you could hear the information in the video if you don´t believe me ^^

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2012] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 4

@chusetto:
I know they "rob" the info but their JUMP sources have been correct so far.. The one thing they weren´t was with the ending of Evangelion, but that´s because Kadokawa Shoten had told them it was ending but it didn´t.

@AmberRei:
What do you mean?
Was REBORN manga cancelled in italy too? Was it published by Planeta too? The only manga publisher I know in italy is Star Comics and Panini IIRC..
Which publisher bought REBORN?

BTW this might mean the USA might get REBORN! again? To me it seems like Shueisha might have realized REBORN! isn´t such a big seller and might be willing to allow publishers to print a more modest run of copies, i.e. if Shueisha first wanted REBORN!´s print to be 1,500 copies they are now allowing it to be 800 or so..
This is of course just a theory of mine, but it seems suspicious that Italy and Spain get these kind of announcements when REBORN! ends.
Sorry for the late reply: it's StarComics :) I bought 1&19 at LuccaComics, and I'm really happy now.

Well, the almost official news for KHR ending don't make me happy at all though.

They are already making a 20th Anniversary Edition for Dragonball and confirmed all the One Piece Databooks for Spain. Naruto will be retaken by Planeta in January with the 61st volume.
