Great to see that Interrogation Princess is getting a reprint, the series is pretty good.

Odd to see Jump+ doing a low start print on Interrogation Princess. Doing a 7k on 5 days is a good thing Jump+ wise, but seems low to do an early reprint already. Or this reprint includes somehow digital (in case there is a limited stock)? It does have to be said that it jumped 20 places on Shoseki for Sept.9, but it seems this happened after.

I don't know. I would not count it as growth. 1 day in the first week can make difference and we've seen this before with other series.
I'm expecting it to level out by 2nd - 3rd week.

It's just that I doubt that Stone does 12k at 6th day, manga usually sells the most in the early first days anyway (unless you are Spy x Family Vol 1/special circumstances otherwise). Let's see how Week 2 does.

Yozakura has a decent chance, I think. I can tell from going around imageboards and JP twitter it seems to have good reception, and with the strong pace the first three chapters it could easily build enough momentum to where it can evade the Jump Axe.

Interesting fact about Yui Kamio is that it will be at 26th chapter without a 3rd Color Page (for example Act-Age did that on Ch.22). It will be hard to beat Hokenshitsu no Shinigami which needed 37 chapters for it. Wonder when Shueisha will give it something (of course in case they don't plan on pulling a surprise axe on it because of the poor sales which is extremely unlikely).

Less than 2k for Taisei and BC, around 3-4k for TSS, if I remember correctly. So.... yeah, terrible.

For Taisei and BC to be precise less than 1750 copies. Yes, somehow that is possible despite 5 days.

TSS sold around 3k (slightly above it like 3.1-3.2k at max) with Kamio Yui around 5k ish (around what Vol 1 did, but with 1 more day)

We are talking about a series of Kishimoto sold halfway around the world even before the volumes came out and that in any case the author declared he wanted to close in 100 chapters .....

I don't want to go against Buranchi warning about talking about Samurai 8, but this kind of special treatment that I don't like. Shueisha knows more than anybody that it is not like this that one of the greats in manga history like Naruto is made. Samurai 8 will not get there no matter how much they try.

I don't want to go against Buranchi warning about talking about Samurai 8, but this kind of special treatment that I don't like. Shueisha knows more than anybody that it is like this that one of greats in manga history like Naruto is made. Samurai 8 will not get there no matter how much they try.

1. Such treatment is not new to the world of entertainment. It's not surprising. It would be surprising if this treatment was NOT given.

2. You cannot say it won't be a super success like Naruto. The series is not even 20 chapters old.
There are plenty of examples of series catching steam later on. Bleach picked up on popularity from SS arc. OP sold double its original peak due to the movie and time skip. Kingdom sold a respectable 200k with Anime for years before it got the massive boosts. KNB ranked poorly but still sold decently enough and gained enough popularity to go on to sell a million per volume.

3. You cannot tell me any one of the above are special cases since Kishimoto's return is a special case on its own. So you cannot predict what or how the series will do. None of us can. So to the people who keep stating its gonna fail like some sort of fact, stop. You cannot see the future.
