Aiterushii (the faceless girl one) got me hooked. The baseball spokon...is giving me strong vibes of future axe. Seems too simple, too light, dunno.

I've learned to never judge a series by my first impression. I still remember when I thought Roboco had the highest chance of getting axed, because it looked like the worst series out of its batch from the previews. Turns out, it is now my favourite series from the whole batch.

remember Nak interview about 2021 when he said Jump will have its biggest manga this year or something like that?

my guess is he must have meant a series from this round, i doubt they already decided on serializing any manga beyond winter back when he did the interview

so which is it? Matsui seems like the very obvious choice to bet on

but then again what if Gotoge return? that seems like the kinda of deal that they would indeed be planning months and months ahead

Maybe, but Terushii doesn't really mean anything.

it being a pun on Ai Shiteru could be possible, I'm thinking it could also be Aite Lucy, meaning Companion Lucy and she's an android or something?

It's also possible that Nak knows which editors work with which artists and what phase of ideas they're in for future serialization. I don't know if Shiibash will be serialized here or on jump+ but having already 4 veterans returning in the span of year is crazy, and that's without counting Tamura.

So, 1M full month is a low estimate. It might end up doing 1.2M if it doesn't slow down. The reprints will give us an idea.

On another note, almost all the MCs look so innocent and light hearted (Can't judge Aiterushii since there's no face lol). I missed those faces on Jump.

TV series will likely continue to look how it does for later seasons, but would be great to see Yamashita helm a JJK movie. Probably a pipe dream tho

He could have meant stuff from this batch. But as you said; if a veteran like Gotouge was planning a return, I think they’d probably know about those already, even if they don’t have future batches fully prepped
