I have the Shonen Jump # 37-38 of 2014

World trigger improved a lot.
In some ways , Yozakura Family give me some vibes in term of both of then have a bad start in term of popularity and sales.

But his is the best one, and it looked like he spent more time and effort on his piece than any of the other artists did on theirs.

It was not drawn with the exposition in mind, it was probably made before it was even confirmed. Announcing Kishimoto would be one of the veterans to send a special illustration only for it to be a recycled one just seems a bit lazy

In my opinion it makes sense, it already has a nice one to use, because it won't be again =

The exhibition was announced in December, and the issue of GIGA containing Kishimoto's art came out in January. I'm pretty confident they knew the same art would be used for the exhibition.

I don't like it(tokoyami looks like shit and I think kishimoto put more effort in Naruto and shikamaru than the MHA character) but I don't think is disrespectful.
The best one were Kubo and Tabata.They draw a characters that looks like it could be draw by Hori but you still could see their style

How do you know he didn't make it for the Exhibition, and we just got to see it early? What if Horikoshi himself wanted this drawing in the exhibit?

Either way, its a great illustration, and don't see how this can possibly seen a "disrespectful". You're calling it disrespectful when i highly doubt Horikoshi is even worried about him not drawing something brand new

yeah I was seeing posts on sns saying some bookstores are closed due to the emergency order, and Shoseki doesn't track online sales so numbers might be lower than usual.

are you sure? was sure the new lockdown only makes non alcohol stores close early, not completely. Dont see how bookstores would be affected.
