Tabata took 3 months to prepare for the final arc and get a rest, now he will take 4 months to prepare for moving to GIGA
Also Tabata final author message
Yep, that comment tells everything you need to know about him moving to Plus, he was living in hell at the moment, this is why i'm not angry or anything despite really wanted him to go the entire run on WSJ, it's better for him to do this so we can have a actual end for the series and also not get a new Togashi.
I do wonder if Tabata promised to finish the series around this time, but he underestimated how long it would take so Shueisha transferred Black Clover to Giga.
Tabata's personal life has been pretty messy in the last months, stuff he didn't planned like his wife being hospitalized and he having to take care of her and the house, the situation just reached the limit.
Should it be a provocation or a joke?
Anyway, at this point, why not transfer One piece to the GIGA as well?
The comment was half of a joke half serious because i think it would benefit Hori a lot, the mention part is just me knowing you would eventually quote me ahsuhsauhashu
Has Black Clover been on a downward trajectory? I have been skimming BC so I cannot tell. It is in epic final battle that supposedly should have propped the ranking. But it has been in mid or bottom tier lately. Yet people say that WSJ merely put popular series at back. Looking at this development, other than Tabata's health issue, I think other deciding factor is that it is indeed losing popularity.
Otherwise they would just force Tabata to a break
Don't try to look sooo deep into the situation, his farewell comment says it all, he was living a hell having to deal with weekly serialization and personal problems, it was nothing to do with popularity, Horikoshi will not do the same because he is stubborn in ending it on WSJ.
Does it mean Yozakura getting shafted...?
Nah, just getting later like always, probably after the new round starting on #41
