I seriously doubt that the LA served this purpose...

But no, a manga that has been going on for almost thirty years that has a decline in sales...

What a surprise, I would not have expected it

Where are the numbers, the numbers, what is "major".
It's a mistery..

have we had B no Suisen leaks yet? I'm out of town for a bit and just caught up but I'm surprised we haven't anything yet as far as I can tell.

DYING to know if this a musical battle shonen

yeah, imagine if its a battle shonen with music, and we have like a character that gets possessed by Mozart and stuff... as someone who made music in college I'm really wishing the best for this manga

Issue 11
1. One Piece
2. Ichi the Witch
3. Sakamoto Days

Also, I've been reading Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time. I gave the first few episodes of the anime a spin a few years ago. Thought it was good but a tad dated, and I wanted to read the episodic chapters that the anime skips.

Not too far in at the moment, but I really like it. The cast are a lot of fun, and Togashi's art is super sharp here. Hoping that continues going forward.

The bottom line for me seems to be that in general, a manga can grab my attention quicker, even if the anime is considered great.

Just had a thought: What if B no Seisen has Stands like Jojo, but they're all named after pieces of classical music instead of classic rock?

That will vary. I mean this story could go in many directions. It could be like stands or assistants like Jojo, Shaman King, or Zach Bell. Or it could be like a spirit helper like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hikaru no Go, or the cancelled Tenmaku Cinema.

Not sure if we need to repeat Kyokyuto Necromance idea so soon since it failed so badly

8.5. Mission: Yozakura Family 27 - 41,383 (Anime)
9.5. Undead Unluck 24 - 25,722 (Anime)

Analysis:
Me and Roboco
Another small drop for Me and Roboco, curious to see where its floor will end up being.

Sakamoto Days
An oddly small anime bump so far, and while backlog hasn't been terrible, it seems to have been overshadowed by Medalist. There still is time though, and the backlog can definitely pick up like Kaiju No.8.

Witch Watch
Witch Watch still is declining, it's now only 5K off of what Yozakura was doing pre-anime, a decent boost is still in the cards though.

Kill Blue
Kill Blue seems to be flat this month, if not a slight bump due to not ranking week 4. With ranking on the up again, Jump may not have any plans to axe this series.

Hima-ten!
Hima-ten stagnates this volume, not a great sign for future growth, but considering its genre, it should still keep afloat.

Ichi the Witch
Ichi gets off to a strong debut, almost breaking 50K despite facing early stock issues, with the reprints being very visible due to the bump between week 2 and week 3. Jump seems to have a real hit on their hands, it just needs to grow into the next volumes.

Shinobi Undercover
It's not a bad debut, but like Kiyoshi, it's not a great debut (though it does seem to be a slightly higher debut than Kiyoshi). Like Kiyoshi, volume 2 sales will be key.

If you are actually curious, you can take a look at TOEI and BANDAI NAMCO's annual/quarterly reports. These two aren't the only companies that have a deal with the One Piece IP, but it gives you an idea.

For Toei in 2023 Q3, One Piece made 13,896 million yen. In 2025 Q3 Toei has generated 18,404 million yen from One Piece. A 32% increase in 2 years, it's pretty massive.

For Bandai in 2023 Q3, One Piece generated 59.8 billion yen. In 2025 Q3 Bandai generated 108.9 billion yen from One Piece. This is a 83% increase in 2 years, which is honesty insane, it's starting to keep up with Dragon Ball.

Other companies that are also involved with One Piece probably saw a similar rise. I can see why Shueisha is going so hard on One Piece, it's entering in that Dragon Ball territory of free money.

I can definitely see why they will keep One Piece for as long as they can before it ends. But they cannot follow that path of beating a dead horse and milk it for all it’s worth. I get it with Dragon Ball, but even at that it did go on for a long time after the main series ended. It was even like that during the main series after the Frieza saga. Don’t get me wrong I still like the Cell saga with the androids and what not. I just want to make sure that they think about the future and relying on the past as a means to make money is like wishing on a monkey’s paw. That is not looking forward, that is stagnation.

But if I am going to be honest, I never saw a dip in quality with One Piece’s story and it is still going strong. So I think this will continue to go on a high as long as Oda can.

I agree with you, but it doesn't matter. If a company sees money they are going to invest in it no matter what.

I get that but lately we have been seeing some real struggle with a few companies in particular who have been really running IP’s to the ground (mainly in the west). I will not name names, but objectively, I think Japan treats their IP’s with the utmost care and respect even if some are rushed and have been dormant for a while. But that is just mainly on the company that does so and their management and CEO.
