So the Sket rumors were true? Well...seeing how Onemanga really only has the first year of story, someone needs to get it caught up somehow or another.

SIN-scans are catching up with it, and are doing a great job

So the rumors from back then were true?

isn't it too early for Sket to get an anime? How many chapters does it have, around 60?

there will probably fillers at some point, but you dont have to watch, obviously; at least its something

you could take it as good news, if psyren keeps surviving like sket, it might have an anime eventually;

It won't get more unless it's popular enough for a second season. Then it will get another 24. Sket Dance will never get 50 episodes, or more.

I doubt it'll get another season, unless, like you said, it gets super popular, which is highly unlikely. But at least it's getting an anime; it'll be interesting to see what it'll be like.

If anyone missed it, the Romance Dawn, Tegami Bachi, and Dragonball specials started streaming at Jumpland today. All three are subtitled.

I doubt it'll get another season, unless, like you said, it gets super popular, which is highly unlikely. But at least it's getting an anime; it'll be interesting to see what it'll be like.

Where is this news though? O_o People are saying it, but I haven't seen it anywhere. I just started reading Sket and I like it both as a Gintama fan, and a fan of humor...so an anime would be nice, but I haven't seen a single place that lists it getting an anime....

Plus I'd think they'd want to animate this once Gintama ends in April. Or after it's second year of being in Jump, which would be in July. In any case, if someone has a link that confirms this news I'd like to see it before getting my hopes up...

BDR: At least you're of the same mentality that Sunrise would want Sket. The only other name rumored is SHAFT...but they seem more tied with weird Magazine school series as of late (Negima, Zetsubou) and I could rather see them getting "Yankee-kun and Megane-chan" than Sket Dance. To tell the truth, it probably would be great for an anime but...that's what we said of Mx0.

Actually it's sort of strange saying that since "high school students with supernatural or magical abilities" is just as popular as "wacky hijinx of high school students". Flip a coin between Mx0 and Sket Dance...

BTW: been playing around with some other Jump stuff as of late and I'm surprised that Shueisha has finally created a flash site for Nube...to promote the new Izuna series in Oh! Super Jump. (which I really should look into myself being a Nube fan...but personally I would have done it with the bunkos last year) Also found that Tegami Bachi seems to be getting a Drama CD alongside the already confirmed one for Hatsukoi.

The editor in chief of Jump SQ has pretty much said that Tegami Bachi will get an anime next year. I still haven't seen anything about Sket getting an anime outside of this board.

A whole bunch of new VIZ titles have popped up on Simon Says, all scheduled to come out next summer. Not one Jump title past or present is among them. While I have no real complaints with what VIZ is licensing, their bringing very good titles over, it is kind of ridiculous that Neuro hasn't been licensed yet.
