I think the sweet spot for an Anime announcement is between the 7th and 10th volume. Not too many volumes for new fans to catch up and enough volumes to build a fanbase on its own first. I hope Shogakukan doesn't miss the chance with Komi.

Still no info about the supposedly 'big' news? Or this was just the thing that was posted on Webry before?

As another promotion for Webry, you can read the entirety of Gosho Aoyama's "Yaiba" for free until October 10th via the Webry app.

Each first chapter of the first three volumes are also being free to read on the Webry website:

I just read that Geocities Japan are going to close down. Wich means that this website that tracks Sunday's Oricon data will be lost among many others. I hope they'll move to another host. It would be a shame if all that data were gone forever.

Regular backups until Geocities is gone are probably a good idea.

Issue #44 editorial

Late mostly because I didn't feel like doing it. (Honesty is the best policy, really.)

Ooh and Yaiba huh? I was just thinking of buying the entire series for reasons....(shifty eyes).

I had a look at two of Webry's new series (ヌけない聖剣ちゃん, 惨劇塔のモーグリ). The first one i loli ecchi stuff and the other one has blood and entrails flying everywhere. Not my cup of tea. I hope the other new manga they haven't released yet are better.

Issue #45 features section

I actually talked more about the features than the series in it this week. Feels kinda weird, tbh.

Also the TOC question being simple made the translations soooooo much easier.

Issue 45 editorial section

I just realized without Shinobi no that this is a lot shorter than usual. Thinking on it, I might even phase out having this section if all of the series in it end for good, and maybe just have a selection of random series each week. I dunno.

For the peeps on twitter, I'm testing something out so that's why I'm not posting it there yet.

So, I read some manga on Sunday like Komi-san, Tonikaku Cawai and others but I wonder what are some of the best manga on the magazine right now?

Personally, besides Komi and Cawaii, 008 is really fun as well as Marry Grave, though I have to catch up on MG. I used to read Zettai Karen Children but I dropped it back during the 200s. Zeno seems quite interesting though I've only read the first chapter.
