Talkback up. Seems like Shoggy is putting all of their focus on Webry which I guess isn't a terrible thing and would explain why there haven't been any new serializations on the main mag. Odd choice but let's go with it. I do find their aggressive "we're taking rookies" campaign to be interesting and perhaps a good move even if it does seem a teeny bit desperate.

Azuma never was a big name like fujita or gosho or a promise author like Ryoko's author.

Wasn't the anime of Denpa Kyoshi a massive flop that also tanked the manga sales of the series? Like with Keijo!!!!!!!!, a bad anime can damage a manga, especially if Shogakukan was more involved in the production of the anime. Denpa Kyoshi might've been a moderate hit, but iirc its end wasn't a positive one. And Azuma's projects since then, including the Chrono Ma:gia tie-in stuff for Shogakukan and Sunday, weren't blessed by success either.

The keijo stuff wasn't it just a rumor? because I remember that manga never had such good sales, so much so that it was even a surprise that got an anime

Keijo's anime sales didn't hurt the manga, the series had already been given half a year to end around the time the anime started. The series (both manga and anime) was also treated pretty terribly by Shogakukan in general.

As much as I want to laugh at this, I deep down can't really deny it being a possibility. ZKC, Ponkotsu, Evans, Yokai, and Megumi all feel like they could end at any point now, and they're getting new serializations on webry on what feels like a daily basis. Frieren, Komi, Conan, and MAO can get an audience anywhere probably, so really? It's more likely than we probably think. (Though it would mean the death of my twitter probably, lol.)
