My first post to bring you something i came up with after taking a look at the latest chapter's pictures.
Well, where does akatsuki come from anyway? With that question unanswered we now see that there's someone still behind the scenes apparently warning AL that there's no room for failure. It's the person behind the scenes that made me think of all this.
There are 5 ruler countries and inside those countries we find 9 "famous" hidden villages: Leaf, Mist, Sand, Sound, Rock, Grass, Waterfall, Rain and Cloud.
If we look at Akatsuki's members we see the following:
Itachi - former ninja of the Leaf village
Kisame - former ninja of the Mist village
Sasori - former ninja of the Sand village
Orochimaru - former ninja of the Leaf and Sound villages (don't know which by the time he was in akatsuki but i suspect it was Leaf, it's not very important anyway)
Deidara - former ninja of the Rock village
Hidan - former ninja of the Grass village
Kakuzu - former ninja of the Waterfall village
Zetsu - from what he's shown us, his techniques seem to point to Grass village. anyway let's make it uncertain for now.
Tobi - if he's a subordinate of Zetsu, he comes from wherever Zetsu came. (let's forget he might be Obito)
Akatsuki's Leader - former ninja of the Rain village
AL's Partner - this is who might prove me wrong in the end. Unknown origin
IMPORTANT NOTE: No ninja from the Cloud village has been introduced.
Well now we'll look at Akatsuki's outfit:
a black cloak with red clouds
This is where my suspicions start rising. It just seems strange to me that we're introduced a totally new village (see page 16 of chapter 327 and last 2 pages of chapter 329).
Now for what makes me suspect Cloud village, in page 16 of chapter 327, we see AL sitting on a statue, and that statue has a pipe in on what appears to be the right hand. Also, the "head" of the statue looks pretty much like a Kage's office roof.
If i'm not wrong with my 0 knowledge of japanese, kumo can mean both smoke and cloud. So the pipe plays a very important part in this theory because it lets out kumo, being smoke or clouds. And if that turns out to be a Kage building and we're talking about the Country of Cloud, the one behind the scenes is no other than the Raikage.
This is where my theory comes to an end, feel free to comment.
