Movies Who are your favorite actors/actresses?

My favorite actor of all time would have to be Hayden Christenson. His portrayal of Anakin Skywalker was deep and meaningful, and putting him in the final scene of "Return of the Jedi" instead of the old guy was a brilliant move....

Sarcasm aside, my favorite actors are:
Patrick Stewart for his portrayal of Scrooge (I was never a fan of TNG)
Avery Brooks for his performance in DS9 and American History X
Zach Braff because he has the slightly nerdy guy down pat.
Tom Baker (who doesn't like the 4th Doctor?)
David Tennant, who brought a unique spin to the Doctor, unlike other who just coasted on the character's grandness.

For actresses:
Keira Knightley, because she was great in Pride and Prejudice
Winona Ryder, because Girl, Interrupted was excellent.
Angelina Jolie, due to her....you know... and the fact that she really commits to her performance.
Lauren Graham, because her portrayal of "Lorelai Gilmore" is hilarious.

I don't have any favorite actors or actresses but I have to say Christian Bale is one damn great actor. He is able to mic-mic many English-speaking accent . Even if his movie isn't a great, he's usually great in it.

I used to love Macaulay Caulkins in Home Alone.

Johnny Depp is like a true legend, starting with Edward Scissorshand, POTC, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.. he always play eccentric characters.. ^^

Kiera Knightley has tis regal. 18th century look which I really like, especially in Pride n Prejudice.

I also like Anne Hathaway in her disney roles, Devil Wear Prada & Becoming Jane.

Anthony Hopkins when not taking an easy paycheck (Bad Company) is a great actor. Shadowlands, The Elephant Man, Howard's End, The Remains Of The Day. All superlative.

Robert De Niro- forget most of his lame ass performances of the last 20 years ( a few films like Casino apart) and focus us on a multitude of performances. Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Godfather Part II, Raging Bull. Brilliant.

Favorite actor.... hmm..

Robert De Niro - sure, he's been in some "wtf is he doing"-movies lately, but for his work in all his Scorsese-cooperations, The Godfather part II, The Deer Hunter, Once Upon A Time in America, Heat... the list goes on.. for all of those he will always remain in my favorite actor-list, no matter how much crap he does in his later days.

Steve Buscemi - Has never done a bad role in any movie or series I have ever seen him in. Period.

Johnny Depp - Almost the same as Buscemi, though I must say his Wonka was a little... disappointing. Still, he's kind of my idol because he is just an awesome actor, the best looking man I know of, he's compassionate and not stuck-up at all despite being one of the highest paid actors at the moment. I've seen about 20-25-ish movies with him and I have to say there are few times he does a bad role, even if the movie itself is shit.

James Gandolfini - Tony Soprano. I don't usually say I love an actor just because he does a good role (then I just say I love the character he plays) but man, in my mind there is no series nor movie that tops The Sopranos. It's the best thing ever made, simple as that. And Gandolfini plays the main character. If he wasn't on this list for that, I'd be a fraud.

Johnny Depp has never disappointed me in any role I have seen, as whether it is Captain Jack Sparrow or Edward Scissorhands, closely followed by Leonardo Dicaprio who imo has really grown as an actor after a few dodgy roles.

As for actresses my favourite would be Kate Winslet, awesome, simply brilliant
