Why are the Berserk's Manga chapters are called "Episodes"?

As title says: Why are the manga CHAPTERS of Berserk, are called "Episodes"? Episode is supposed to be for a tv-show (anime), and chapter is for books (manga), or did I miss something here?

That's pretty much up the mangaka how he/she calls the chapter. As for example, the chapters in D. Gray-man are called "Nights" (Night 1, Night 2, ...). In the Gravitation Manga the chapters are called "Tracks" and so on. It's part of the individual art in many manga.

it's more about the way it is structured rather than giving it a personal note...
berserk has chapters that contain several episodes. like the current falconia-chapter.
