I know there are some of us here in Mangahelpers who have had experience working/studying in Japan or perhaps even doing it right now!
This is the thread to talk about those experiences and give advice to people who are thinking about going to Japan for the same reasons. If you're interested in working/studying there someday, this is the thread to ask questions as well.
Unfortunately I don't have anything to share; however, I would definitely love to work in Japan someday. (I'm thinking between a few months to a full year.) For non-Japanese citizens, the JET program is an incredibly popular option to gain experience. It's purpose is to teach students English, and since the education system is reforming to introduce English at a younger age, more positions will be available in the future.
Hopefully I'll post some other relevant information that may be of interest.
