The Promised Neverland Chapter 121 Review by Emperor Spriggan
So, last week's chapter had Norman explaining about the nature of demons to Emma and the other kids, and explaining his plan to eradicate the world of demons. This plan is geared towards making a home in the demon world, instead of having to go and live in the human world.

The latest chapter has Norman remembering what Emma's goal was. Her goal, ironically, is in line with what he suggested last chapter. To ensure no other kid is ever enslaved by the demons again as food. Norman agrees to this plan, and Emma seems skeptical about it. Honestly, I have to admit as much as I love Norman, he is giving out eerie vibes. His plan seems to hinge on genocide of the demons.At first, that looks well and dandy if you consider most of the demons we have met are evil. Also, anyone remember the first arc of Bleach? The explanation given as to why Quincies destroying Hollows was dangerous, something similar could happen here. Maybe demons are needed to support the ecosystem or something along those lines? Let's see.

Behind her, the rest of the kids cheer happily at Norman's suggestion. They seem inspired by the thought of defeating the demons, starting to believe that they can do it. There is the question of how they would be received on the human world, so perhaps living in the demon world would be for the best. Emma is asked what then happens to the plan of finding the Seven Walls. Ray says that if there's a plan to defeat the demons, that is the safer option.

The Goldy Pond kids are also elated at the prospect Norman has offered them. Gilda is happy, something Emma notices. She seems to be glad. Mostly because now, Emma doesn't need to put herself in danger all the time. This is a nice throwback to the one time Gilda was worried about Emma when the kids had encountered Sung Ju and Musica. Doesn't excuse all the shafting that's been done to her of late, but what can you do anyway.

Norman refocuses his attention onto Emma, stating that they will build a future that leaves no children behind. This time, having been egged on by the reactions of the other kids, she agrees to Norman's idea. As she does this, she embraces some of the kids with her, and Ray seems pensive about something. Interestingly enough, he did say the plan to eradicate the demons was a good shout, but he never once expressed glee or joy with it. Maybe he noticed something odd about it?

Once everyone seems to be on the same page, Norman suggests that the kids need to focus on resting for now. He proceeds to take the kids out of his room, and the rest of the kids in the shelter all acknowledge his presence. Judging from their reactions, it seems like Norman rarely lets the other kids see him. Something that Norman later confirms to Don. They finally get to where the beds are, and it's a bit similar to the bunker where they stayed before with Yuugo and Lucas. All the kids love their new beddings, considering they had been camping outside beforehand. The new shelter has everything to make their lives comfortable. Bathtubs, toilets and even a kitchen.

Some of the younger kids approach Norman, wary. He asks them what was wrong, and they ask him how they are supposed to address him now with his new found status. He reassures them that no matter what happened, he would always be Norman. Even if he grew bigger than Grace Field House. Maybe foreshadowing of something here? The kids all dog pile him and he collapses to the ground.

Later on, the kids have dinner altogether. The Grace Field and Goldy Pond kids are unsure how much they should eat, but Norman reassures them they can eat as much as they want. Now, something I'm wondering here. Where on earth did Norman get all that food? Unless there is a farm inside the shelter, I don't buy it at all.

They all have dinner, and go to sleep shortly after. Emma stays up a little longer to talk with Norman, after which she challenges him to a game of chess. Shortly after, she states that she will challenge Ray next. And just like that, the golden trio of Harry, Hermione and Ron all go to bed after spending the whole night playing wizard's chess.

Personal opinion: This was a decent chapter, as far as transition was concerned. The last chapter had an information dump, so it was only fitting that this one included everyone's reactions to the plan. Which was executed pretty fine. The chapter also did a fine job of making Norman seem untrustworthy, There is NO way he is being completely candid with what he told the kids. It's either he doesn't intend on killing the demons because he struck a deal with them, or he is going to end up sacrificing some of the kids while they are staying there.

Chapter Title: True Feelings

This Week's Chapter starts with an End,it is the end of Emma's slumber. As she awakes she is immediatly in a hurry to run down the hallway seemingly in panic and as she reaches the Dining Hall and is greeted by everybody present we learn that it was the first time she had overslept. She apologizes but is met by laughing and smiling faces as her friends reveal that they too overslept today, Emma expresses surprise but is relieved as she realizes that Oliver appears as if he had woken up on time as he is sitting at the Table reading a Book. As Emma asks him why he didn't wake her up as well he replies that they all appeared to be comfortable and at Peace as they were sleeping. Emma realizes that there was indeed truth in Hayato's and Norman's words,they can sleep and wake up whenever they want without having to worry about being targetted or attacked by the Ratri Clan or hungry Demons.

Emma,close to going through all sorts of expressions today,starts being nervous because she cannot remember that she has went to sleep in a bed. Because she slept off next to Ray and Norman,the former replies that Zack carried her into a Bed and as they were approached by their friends he woke up himself. Emma asks Ray about Norman's whereabouts at the time and is met by the response that their Old Friend had already left the Room by that time,the scene switches to Norman's Office who is greeted by one of his allies. A tall,glasses wearing Man enters the Room and as he greets Norman we learn that his Name is "Vincent",like Zazie he is one of Norman's trusted companions and a fairly skilled man both in Combat and Medicine. He looked after Christy and Dominic and succeeded in treating them both so their conditions would stabilize,Norman thanks him for his service and is told that he is boring again.

Vincent says that it looked like Norman was a completely different Person yesterday,revealing that the Children's shock was not just from their Leader walking amongst them all of a sudden but because he behaved like one of them. Norman,having taken a serious expression, tells his Comrade to stop mocking him and asks him about Hayato's reports. There is a change of plans he says,which are unknown to us at the present point of time,and he made that decision based on the previously mentioned report which stated that the Mass Production Plantations have fortified their Security much more after having been made aware of their raids on the other Plantations. The survival of the Grace Field Children has been made public as they were spotted by some of the Demons in the Plantation. As Vincent asks if that doesn't call for trouble Norman puts him at ease by denying his statement.

He tells Vincent that while the reveal isn't a matter of concern he'd like to come up with a Counter Strategy in case their Enemy makes his move,he wants to proceed with his Plans ahead of the original schedule. He recalls Phil and the other children at the Grace Field House and tells Vincent that he has a good reason for his decision,his Revolution needs to be carried out without any bloodshed or pain. Both for him and his friends sake,he was writing a letter and as he seals it he hands it to Vincent with the orders to get it to "them" asking to arrange a usual meeting as soon as possible. The scene switches back to Emma and Ray who are taking care of laundry at the time,Ray expresses curiousity about Norman's exact plans he asks Emma for her take on them to which he is met a by a seemingly relieved Emma telling him that it is Norman they are talking about and that they have nothing to worry about it. She is glad about it.

Ray,seemingly suspicious of Emma's reply,asks if she really feels glad about it. As Emma asks where his suspicions come from he replies that Norman's talk about destroying the Plantations isn't sitting right with Emma after all,referring to her reaction when the former told them about his plans,Emma reminds Ray that even he approved of the Plans but is brushed off by her Friend who replies that while it's true that he approves of them this is not what Emma would want isn't it? Emma agrees,she understands why everyone else was charmed by Norman's honesty and his plans end goal,she suddenly looks at Ray with a teary expression on her face telling him that she doesn't want to kill the Demons. While Emma wants to be happy along with her friends she also wants the Demons to be happy as well,she expresses regret over some of her previous decisions as well as disgust at the Demons and their rituals.

Even though the Demons are their enemy,she wonders what the exact differences between them and the Humans are. Demons have families,friends and lives that they pursue just like humans and while they do eat humans they do it for the same reason as to why Humans eat animals. To survive.
Emma asks Ray if just because they are the Enemy they deserve to be eradicated by them,no matter how much she hates them and their rituals there is still their memories with Musica and Song Juu,their friends. Ray asks why she didn't protest against the plan back then and she responds that she can't because the others will be happier like that. She reminds him that the Seven Walls could be a risk as well as the moment they forge a Promise where Humans get to walk off freely without being eaten the Demons will lose their current form and inevitably end up extinct anyway.

She ends her speech wishing for Alternatives but unfortunately there isn't one,she asks Ray what she's supposed to do.

Personal Opinion

The Chapter was really good,but left me with mixed Feelings mostly because of Emma's reaction and speech at the end. While i can sort of understand her point it is sort of weird to hear given what the Demons did to her and her friends in the past,as she said there aren't any alternatives left for them to take. And even if the Promise wouldve worked wether the Demons keep it or not is a different story,they either end up extinct or betray the Promise to keep devouring Humans. Either way is a dead end for them,which is why i'm really curious about Ray's response to her now. Norman seemed a tad shady to me but currently i'd like to believe that he is doing it all for his friends,i'm very interested by who he meant with "them" and if they are a Supporter of the Original Minerva or another of Norman's allies from Lambda. I hope we'll get our answers to both of those situations. I'd rate this Chapter a solid 8.5 out of 10.

The Promised Neverland Chapter 123 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter continues the conversation between Emma and Ray as Emma is facing a tough choice. He stoically said that he has no idea, agreeing with her that the Seven Wall arrangement would end in the same way and adding that if they go to the route of going to the human world would result in another war between humans and demons. He also noted that for the demons, the kids are essential nutrients, and that Norman’s choice would be the most viable solution as there are no other solutions found.

Emma is upset by his reaction and asks him more about his thoughts, but is met with silence. She then asks why is he making her say everything, and Ray tells her about her feelings deep inside that hiding such feelings at all would mean burying it deep enough to not provoke it at any time. Her thoughts would eventually come out, telling everything at a worst possible time to a person she would not tell otherwise and making the situation a lot worse, endangering her and others more. The consequence would be detrimental to Norman’s plan and would be a pain for Ray to deal with it. He warns Emma that at that point, if she keeps on doing it, she’ll regret it and carry it for life. He understands why she acts that way and doesn’t want her to keep it to herself, so he advises her to recount her situation to make it clearer. She realizes this and says yes.

Ray then asks her what she wants and her clear answers are avoiding the extermination of the demons and the war. But she still doesn’t know what to do and claims that the kids would be against such an idea. She notes that if she does something foolish, she would end up endangering them again. Her utmost priority in the end of it is the safety of the children, but because of the situation, she doesn’t know the right thing to do. He suggests talking to Norman, but she was surprised, considering that she doesn’t know the right answer, but he expresses that talking to Norman would be important since not taking it through will be bad and that he’s their trusted friend. She completely agrees. Furthermore, he says that things would be a lot clearer when they talk to him, like taking precautions of a non-preventable war and acknowledging one key detail to Norman’s info: Sonju and Musica and both in a concession that they don’t fit in Norman’s new information. She asks if the effect takes a long time, but Ray rejects it, and states that it would be weird for them to preserve their human shape when they don’t eat humans at all. He hypothesizes that either they lied or they were special cases. She comments that it would wishful thinking if all demons would be like them, but asks again if Norman knows it. Ray doesn’t know this, but concludes that if Norman doesn’t know, then he’ll be in danger as there might be more of Sonju and Musica’s cases and most of them might want to eat humans. Destroying farms will not affect them and will be their enemy. He also remarked that if Norman knows it, then he knows why they do that. They can get hints from it and find a way to coexist with the demons. She’s happy after hearing this, but he reassures her that the chances are slim, but absolutely needed for Norman to hear them. He expresses at first his doubts as well, but because demons like Sonju and Musica exist, he guarantees that whatever choices she takes, he will take her side and trust her completely. She thanked him and both went their way to Norman’s room, keeping mind of all the things they talk through.

Emma knocks and goes inside Norman’s room when they see Norman’s henchmen there. The woman was confused, but Emma greeted and introduce her and Ray to them. The tall man revealed that they were fugitives that joined yesterday and the girl realizes that they from Grace Field. The girl offered them some food, but they declined. Emma asked where Norman is, but the other guy answered that he is currently busy. Emma then says they are going to come back, but the henchmen insist them to stay and want to know more about them.

Thoughts:

After a very conflicting last chapter, I was quite skeptical going into this, but thankfully this chapter addressed a lot of things that the fans have been wanting to read for a long while: the mystery behind Sonju and Musica.

Besides those mysterious two demons, Ray was definitely the highlight of the chapter. Seeing his interactions with Emma here shows how much he grows as a character. He went from disagreeing with her from the first arc to completely siding with her and it’s really awesome to see that. Their relationship grows as well. Emma’s also great in this chapter.

I’m personally not a big fan of Norman’s group as they just present themselves as a cliche shonen group archetype. They could grow into more interesting characters, but it’ll take me a while to get used to them. With that being said, I’m looking forward to their talk.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 7/10.

The Promised Neverland Chapter 124 Review by Emperor Spriggan
Last week's chapter ended with Emma and Ray meeting the kids that work closely with Norman. These are the same kids that we saw with Norman on his first return to the story, post prison break.

Intrigued by Emma and Ray, the kids close in on them, not respecting their personal space. This startles the two Grace Field kids. Shortly after, they introduce themselves. The girl who is holding the large piece of meat's name is Sandra, while the well toned one is called Cicero. The dark kid with a stitch across his forehead is named Vincent.

Cicero states that the kids with Norman are all fugitives. Barbra brags about the farm they destroyed alongside Norman, and Vincent explains to Emma that they have developed a rivalry with them. Obviously, this is because of their relationship to Norman.

Additionally, Vincent asks Emma and Ray to indulge the kids. Ray sarcastically admits that he and Emma are no match for Barbra and Cicero, and that sentiment seems to satisfy them. Ray notices they have tattoos just like Norman's. This makes him wonder if they were irregulars like Adam and Zazie.

Emma thanks them for taking care of Chris, and nursing him back to full health. Vincent says that all that mattered was that they got well. Barbra intrudes upon the conversation at this point, and asks the two what Norman was like. They harbor a deep adoration for him and want to know all about him, according to Vincent.

He hasn't changed all that much according to Emma. She adds on that he has a gentle smile, and is a very kind person. Barbra and Cicero burst out laughing at this, clearly skeptical of what Emma's description of Norman was. They say that he is naturally a very cold person, who is dead serious and like the Czar. At the mention of this, Ray is the one who bursts into a fit of laughter. The initial awkwardness that had been present in the room is gone now, and conversation progresses naturally and rapidly. Everyone is having a good time.

Cicero admits that it was only thanks to Norman that they got their super human abilities. The three of them are from Lambda, experimental plantation 7214. In the plantation, they were experimented on brutally daily. Several kids died, and it was Norman who was able to save them all. Him, plus those currently in the room and Zazie have been the ones saving kids all over by destroying plantations.

Shortly after, Cicero and Barbra express obvious glee at the thought of killing the demons. It is revealed at this point that the steak Barbra was feeding on was is in fact, demon meat. A pretty interesting revelation. Does this mean that the food that Emma and the others had at dinner last evening was also demon meat? And if so, would there be any adverse effects on the human body?

Emma is visibly disturbed by the bloodlust that the two Lambda experiments expressed. Barbra notices Emma's obvious distress, and questions her about why she is making that face. Proof of what Ray said last chapter about Emma wearing her heart on her sleeve and being emotionally visible to anyone. Going one step further, Barbra realizes that Emma probably wanted to talk to Norman about changing the plan and having it be about saving the demons. And quite frankly, this scene is frustrating as all hell. Emma didn't say anything, but there is a clear lack of empathy here towards people who had their lives ruined by the demons. Compared to Grace Field, the lives that Barbra and the others led were complete hell. Emma should at least try and be considerate of that, but alas, we know the story will do nothing about that. This is just like the Sasuke dilemma in Naruto where Naruto didn't really understand him until he lost Jiraiya. I am completely with Barbra here.

She goes on a bit of a rampage, partially destroying the furniture in the room. Cicero orders her to stop coldly, and she does.

Vincent tells Emma that she is already too late, since everything has been set in motion. Things had been like that since the morning. Norman predicted that Emma would try and change his mind, so he acted according to that prediction.

Later on, we see Norman (Zazie accompanied him as well) and a few other demons having a meeting. The letter that he had sent in the previous chapter was indeed for these demons. Vincent refers to them as pawns, which means that Norman is quite clearly using them. But I do wonder, if he intends on backstabbing them later on?Or these are the select few demons he intends on saving while he will sacrifice all the others? If it is the second one, ironically he will be doing something that Emma would be proud of. The first one would villify him as more of a villain though, and where the story is going it seems to be going to lead to him as the final villain.

Chapter rating: 7.5/10. Emma's shenanigans were just.....a huge wet blanket.

Chapter Title: The Alliance of Liars

Last time in The Promised Neverland we saw Emma and Ray looking for a talk with Norman,who to their dismay was absent,but instead they got to meet his Supporters Cicero,Barbra and Vincent who just like Zazie are modified Human beings that have come from Lambda and got saved by Norman when he escaped. After a brief conversation and getting to know each other more it is revealed that Norman has gone to meet their new "Allies",who turned out to be Demons. Demons that have similarities with the Beast-like Demons in the Forest but still possess Human-like features,he only took Zazie as a bodyguard with him. The Chapter starts with Norman and Zazie being surrounded by various Demons almost drolling over him,or rather his meat and bones.

Zazie seems ready to battle but Norman tells him to stand down,as he lets go of his blade they are met by an apology from one of the Demons claiming that they are just too appetizing to keep an eye off. Norman brushes it off by saying that he can see how "well" they're being treated around these parts,he questions if the Demons are aware of the situation they're in and that if they were to ally themselves with them they could have much more food supplies for themselves instead of eating him and Zazie here and now. He claims that the only way for them to have a Life where they don't have to starve and lose their intellect they need to ally themselves with Norman and his Forces,his gaze wanders across the Room asking where "The Lord" is. As he finishes his question he is met by a huge Demon,more than 3 times Norman's own size, wearing what seems to be Royal Garments,he is also using a cane to carry himself.

He greets Norman as "William Minerva" and is greeted in return,the Demon's name is "Lord Giran" and he appears to be of a Royal Demon Family/Clan due to his before mentioned clothing and his rather noble speech mannerisms,he laughs at Norman stating that when they last met he told him that if he plans to meet again he is to only bring 1 bodyguard of his but he did not think that Norman would stand by it. Norman replies that if one wants to form an alliance that building up Trust with your Partner is the most important task to follow,he calls out to Zazie who throws a bag in the middle of the Demons. The Bag was filled with the severed heads of multiple Demons that they killed when attacking the Mass Plantations,he invites them to have a decent meal with them later and is met with brief gratitude by Giran.

As Norman is offered a seat he is also presented with a set of Questions,Giran asks Norman directly what exactly he requires of him and his Followers as well as what he can offer in return to them. Norman doesn't hesitate and claims that he needs their Strength to add to his own Forces and in return he will give them Victory and the chance to have their Revenge, Revenge against the Noble Families that have betrayed Giran and his followers 700 years ago and caused their shapes to devolve to their current form. Norman promises to present them the Heads of said Noble Families as well as the heads of the 5 regent lines,if they fall then Giran and his followers will stand at the Top once more and Norman will let them rule the World as they please. Giran will be King in this new Government.

As Giran questions what he will gain in return Norman tells him that he requests the liberation of every single Cattle Child from the Premium Grade Plantations such as Grace Field,Glory Bell,Grand Valley and Goodwill Ridge but he also requests for them to be autonomous. They'll essentially be Free in the truest sense of the word. Norman also reassures them that while he may request the Premium Cattle Children to be freed he does not intend for the Demons to starve,he will let them control the Mass Production Farms in return as well as free choice of handling the Ratri-Clan in the Humans place. He notes that the Ratri Clan can produce a hundred humans with nothing but a strand of hair,he continues by offering them all of the Research Data he has collected at Lambda.

Giran seems surprised that Norman would let them handle the Ratri Clan,which he blames on the hatred "James Ratri" harbors towards his Clan that now wants to see him dead. He concurs,if the Ratri get eaten by them they will not only have had a taste of Royal Human meat but will also be rid of the annoying Ratri Clan which has bothered them for many years. Norman urges Giran to comply with them,Humans need their strength as they are too weak and fragile while the Demons have Strength but not the "means" to attain Victory against an Enemy like the Ratri-Clan and the Royal Families. Allying themselves is a Win-Win Situation for both parties, Norman claims that it's time for Giran to take his "rightful" place in the System after waiting 700 years for this Chance. Giran recalls his banishment into the woods by the Noble Families and his vow for Revenge,he accepts Norman's proposal.

As he signs Norman's covenant he tells him that he puts his entire fate and trust into Norman and his Forces,but he can't help but wonder what will happen if Norman's plan fails and they won't taste Victory at all. He asks Norman what they'll get instead in the worst case scenario, Norman cheerfully states that if the worst was to happen that he won't mind if Giran and his followers devour him and his Friends wether they get grilled or boiled they are fully at their mercy. Giran accepts and both pour a drop of their blood onto the covenant symbolizing their unity and finishing their negotiations,as they shake hands Giran claims that together they will start a new World. After Norman and Zazie left their hideout the latter is still on guard but is told to relax by his Leader as they are out of reach now.

An owl lands on Norman's shoulder as he walks and he starts to reflect on the meeting with Lord Giran,it is revealed that Norman has lied to Giran to bring them onto his side as he intends to use them and has them fight in place of him and the Cattle Children. The Demons will end up destroying themselves,meanwhile,Giran is seen reflecting on his meeting with Norman as well and stares intensely onto the covenant from before or rather Norman's bloody fingerprint. He licks on the Paper and mentions that his Blood is delicious,while Norman notes that Giran himself told a lie as well. Giran and his followers wonder how James Ratri can look this young when he is known to have died many years ago,Giran notes that he is perhaps one of the 3 Premium Grade Units from Grace Field that noone but the Leader of the Demons

may have.

Norman notes that Giran is after his Flesh,his mind and that after they used the Humans they will devour them regardless but he won't let them as the same hands that build the trust with them will be the ones to stab him from behind. He hopes that Lord Giran enjoys his dream of eating Norman because the Cattle Children will have the last laugh,Norman smiles and looks at Zazie while the Owl on his shoulder puts on an intense stare.

This Chapter was really good, 9/10 , Norman is taking full advantage of the Demons and while reading the Chapter it really felt like back at Grace Field with Isabella around. Both sides essentially using the other for their benefit but only on a closer look while on the surface we have an honourable Alliance,I love it. This feeling is something that i had started to miss when reading TPN at some points,it feels like Norman coming back really did bring back more than just an old friend for Emma and Ray. The negotiations went off flawlessly and both parties have goals at stake that they need to achieve but cannot without the other,i did not think that Norman would just "sacrifice" himself and everybody else if the plan fails...i was a bit shocked at that. He even smiled while saying it. I really wonder what Norman will tell Emma and Ray when he returns and what their Role in all this is going to be now,i can't see Emma go along with his idea of having Demons slaugther each other. This might be where both realize the time they were apart and how their experiences changed their views on things.

The Promised Neverland Chapter 126 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter begins outside where Dominic tries to walk for the first time in a while, the other kids cheering him on and Gilda telling him to not push himself. The older kids were worried about the other young kid, Chris, as Emma and Ray tend his wounds. Ray said that he looks well and will wake up soon. Emma, while still worried, agreed.

Ray then changes the topic to Norman, mentioning that it has been another full day during which he has not returned. Emma wants to talk to him badly because of what had happened before. She thought about Norman’s subordinates and that while she was glad to have met them and saw that they are good people to hang out with, she reflected that their view of the demons was pure hatred. She knows that while Grand Valley group back in Goldy Pond also resent demons, the grudge towards the demons they harbored was on an another level, terrifying her. She also contemplated that Cicero thought that every demon is the same, but Emma mentions Musica and the demon children. She asserted that it's not right. Ray agreed, but in addition, says that they won’t care about it considering their tough past and that their anger is at that point where it cannot be stopped any more. He affirmed that they are trapped in the cycle of hatred and nothing can be done. He continued by saying that this is what it means to be at war, where all signs of compassion get lost in a mutual spiral of killing and harming each other, repeating the same actions the humans have inflicted on each other over and over again since the dawn of civilization. Emma took in every prospect in Ray’s point of view, wondering if there’s really nothing to do. Before she responds to Ray, outside screams are heard and inform them about Norman coming back from his trip and Emma and Ray rush out to see him. Norman was shortly greeted by his group. He tells them that the deed was done and that he will move on to the next step of the plan. On his way to his office he runs into Emma and Ray waiting for him and Emma asks him to talk in private. The trio then went inside.

Emma apologizes for the sudden request when Norman just returned, but he assures her that it’s alright. After that, he asks her about her worries, but Ray wanted clarification from him first about the plan. He asks whether Norman plans an insurrection and Norman praises him for the right guess. Emma was confused, but Ray continues the conversation, saying that Norman will provoke a crisis between the demons and making them destroy themselves in the process. Emma took note of it and is shocked that the pawns Norman talked about before were demons and that he was making an alliance between them. He explains that the demon society isn’t monolithic, but based instead around a caste system with a king, nobility, commoners and the lesser ones below them. Notably, there’s the royal family and the five regent lines, which are the other royal families that have rights to royalties. Emma concludes in thought that the five families had joined forces with the Ratri clan as they build up Lambda. Norman further states that they oversee all the plantations, control the human meat supply, rule the caste society and brag about their wealth and privileges, making the demons below them feel unhappy which caused growing tension between them. He declares that they can use that as an advantage.

Ray then asks Norman again about the alliance and Norman explains that there’s a noble demon clan named the Gilan. Through the schemes of the families, they were falsely blamed and stripped of their fame and privileges. He describes that such punishment would be called an exile since taking it would mean not eating human meat, which causes their bodies to decay and go back to the wild demon forms, but the clan went into hiding instead, waiting for an opportunity to take revenge for 700 years of humiliation. They would steal from the other plantations, the streets and other sources to keep their human shape and intelligence in check. Emma expresses that it was amazing for Norman to find such demons, but Ray was hesitant about it. Norman reassures him that it’s a good decision to make as while it’s a risky move to make and the possibility of them eating the kids in the end holds up, the main deal was for the demons to kill each other, using the motive of acting for revenge from the higher ups. He also states that the main reason for it is that if everything goes well, the cattle children won’t die because the demons need to keep them alive since their existence is more beneficial to the demons than them battling against the demons and dying and he won’t lose to the battle of wits. He affirms that he’s not doing it out of audaciousness, but in determination that he’ll do it without spilling human blood.

Emma is deep in thought about Norman’s plan. She agrees that having a demon war would be a huge advantage for the cattle children and that if the royal families and nobles will fall down, so will the whole system. All of it, along with the farms, will be decimated, converting the demons back to their wild forms and exterminating their society because it needs supplies of human meat to sustain itself. She comprehends all of Norman’s plan. But she tells him that there are demons that aren’t like them, the ones that won’t devolve even without eating human meat and who don’t absorb traits from all living things. Ray adds that they could be demons like that who have no necessity for human meat. She asks whether Norman had calculated them as well but Norman suddenly looks purely shocked. He asks the two where they heard about it and where they saw “her”. He is in utter disbelief as he asks them if the “blood maiden” clan was still alive.

Thoughts:

The whole chapter was pretty good in setting up what is about to come. From another Ray and Emma talk to the whole trio doing their thing after so long, it was quite a heavy dialogue chapter. But it still manages to push the plot further, especially with the ending.

The talk between Emma and Ray wasn’t as impactful as the first one back when Emma busted out every feeling she had, but this one was still good in how they portrayed their relations further.

Then, the whole trio talk was great. It was a very nostalgic nod towards the first arc where the three leads talk about their plans to escape. It gives back the group dynamic many fans want to see happening again since Norman finally appeared after a long while.

I am looking forward to see what they’ll do with the ending. It was only a matter of time when they were to talk about Musica again.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 7/10.

The Promised Neverland Chapter 127 Review by Emperor Spriggan
This chapter starts with a flashback from 700 years ago involving a few demons. A few demons are lamenting the loss of meat as they wonder where their next meal will come from. They haven't eaten a human properly in 2 years, and as such they are in danger of devolving back into mindless cretins. At that point, Musica approaches them. Behind her she is accompanied by a few other demons who have attire similar to hers.

Switching back to the present, Norman explains that Musica is a demon who has never eaten a single human in her life. Despite that, she is still able to retain her humanoid shape and as such this makes her a totally unique creature. The first records of her existence date 700 years ago. In the past, she would walk around saving demons experiencing extreme hunger and starvation using her blood. A single mouthful of her blood was enough to make the demons similar to her. Both Emma and Ray are shocked by this revelation.

Norman adds on that demons who fed on Musica's blood possessed the ability to also turn other demons to the same nature. I have to admit, this is a pretty noteworthy explanation. Though seeing Musica approach those demons to save them does remind me a lot of Eto in Tokyo Ghoul. With how she formed Aogiri and being the only natural one eyed ghoul, not to mention an enigma as far as the overall plot goes. Until she admits that she is not the person with cursed blood and it's actually ~~Arima~~ Sung Juu, haha. That would be something.

Unfortunately, the demon nobility caught wind of Musica's abilities and her crusade to save the outcast demons. Such an existence could end up shaking the authority of the nobles and that meant there could only be one solution. Aogiri was killed and Musica managed to escape. They also killed all the ghouls that were converted by Eto's power, which sadly meant that Kanou's lab could no longer carry out it's activities. Hinami asks why and Norman explains that Eto's blood did scare the nobles.

Ayato theorizes that Sung Juu is probably a survivor who drank Musica's blood, something I'm not sure I agree on. Primarily because they don't know Sung Juu's true intentions. Not to mention how long he has stayed without eating human meat. Maybe it's different among the demons? We saw at the beginning of the chapter how those demons had not eaten human meat in 2 years and were still retaining their human form. Sung Juu might have a longer endurance frame. But him feeding on Musica's blood wouldn't be so wrong I suppose.

Emma asks Norman why the Nobles killed Musica and her friends. Honestly, this was a pretty stupid question to ask. Anyone could tell the reason why, and I explained it in an earlier passage. So I won't dive into that again. But I generally dislike how the author forgets that Emma is supposed to be as smart as Norman and Ray. She should be able to understand things in the same capacity they do as well. The author might be using her as a self insert so that the fans understand, but still....No.

After Ray explains the whole situation to Emma, Norman jumps in and tells her that she should not be so surprised by these things anymore. Everyone was looking after their interests, and that's just how the world worked. Because she was kind, that didn't mean everyone else was kind too.

He continues and adds on that this meant Musica and Sung Ju had to be eliminated. This is because Musica's blood could make feral demons aware of Norman's rebellion. Something that meant the number of enemies would only increase ten fold and it would basically render Norman's whole plan useless.

Of course, Emma is opposed to the whole plan, insisting that the duo are their friends. Norman takes her hand and explains to her that they are demons, and there is no way they will sit by as Norman eradicates their race. Emma talks again, and honestly, with everything she says past this point it just gets more and more irritating. Like damn it Hinami, you watched demons kill your parents and friends. Fix up and get with the times. Showing mercy will only get you killed in such a cruel world.

She states that she doesn't want the demons to be killed. All they had to do is find the nobles and regents, and share their blood among the other demons. Something that would kill their appetite for humans. Again, another fallacious suggestion. First of all, we already know Sung Ju longs to eat humans despite having been fed Musica's blood. That means the plan has room for error. Second, why would the nobles even agree to such a plan? Or the demons in question. Gathering all those demons in one place would mean carrying out a census, and doing that is impossible in the first place. Something that Norman explains as he states that their first instinct when they see Emma and her group would be to eat them.

Emma then states that they should escape to the human world where they would redo the promise. Norman shoots her down again, stating that they don't know how the human world would accept them. For all they know they might probably be met with hostility there. He finalizes by explaining to Emma that the demons stand in the way of her family's happiness, which means they need to be eradicated.

Thoughts:
Emma is still being unreasonable and really needs to wisen up. I get her notion of saving the demons, but if she has no concrete way how to do it then why even bother bringing it up the table?

Norman not complying with her wishes and insisting on his way is pleasing to see. Young him would have definitely tried to compromise with Emma, but as he is now he isn't having any of that. Which is a major plus for his character.

Musica proving why she's going to end up the GOAT of the series. Eto level build up with her, hopefully she doesn't get offed in a stupid way like she was in Tokyo Ghoul.

What Ray has to say on the whole matter will be the most interesting factor in the upcoming chapters.

Chapter Title: I've made up my Mind

This Week's Chapter of Neverland picks up where we left off last time,Emma and Ray tried to change Norman's mind about his Plan regarding the extermination of the Demons or at the very least overthink it because the existence of Demons like Musica can shatter the Pillars his Plan is build on,both sides remained on their views and ideals not budging an inch on their resolve. Can Emma and Ray get through to their Old Friend? Is the extermination really what Norman wants? Well,join me as i break down this Chapter to find the answers to these questions and more!

After Norman told Emma that the world isn't one big desire concert she starts thinking,she knows that there are benefits to Norman's Plan that much is clear even to her but she also knows that there are flaws in said Plan...she stops her thought and tells Norman that while his goals are all good and well the entire plan is based on a lot of probabilities. From a Mathematical Point of View the Plan is indeed the "correct" choice for the Humans,but does being "correct" mean that you'll reach your goals? Does it mean that you'll achieve the most benefit for yourself? Emma asks him. Before he has time to answer she cuts in saying it has to be more than that,she refuses to take a "correct" option that forces them to kill Innocent Children and furthermore the Genocide of the Demon Race. Killing is a heavy thing,and extermination all the more.

Emma recalls Musica and Song Ju,and as she does she tells Norman that there is a Path to avoid all of that so why not take it? The Human World may not accept them but maybe they will,he cannot know that for certain. Emma continues by telling Norman that if there is even the faintest chance to survive for both sides then they should take it. If they had always listened to the most logical choice then they would have never left Grace Field,they would have never taken the Children along. It's sheer optimism that has driven them this far,she repeats herself once more,she does not want to kill the Demons or at the very least she does not want to live in a Peaceful Future that she's only allowed to live in because they killed one of her friends so she would never be able to smile again.

Norman finally responds and asks Emma if she really insists on avoiding the Extermination at all costs,which she affirms,he continues asking her how he is supposed to stop a Plan that is already on the move. He can't go back on his Promise to Gilan and their Alliance,Emma replies that she is aware of that and tells Norman that they can attack and apprehend the Nobles and Regent Families but should avoid killing them. Liberating the Farms isn't a bad thing either but the Nobles have to remain alive so they use their Blood to "cure" the other Demons of their cravings for Human Meat like Musica did in the past. At the same time they will make for the Seven Walls and forge a new Promise with

and then they'll create a pathway to the Human World. The Demons achieve stable Bodies,the Humans Freedom and a right to live in their own World. The Human World.

Norman remains iron on his Plan and tells Emma that her Plan is nothing but a Pipe Dream. He continues saying that there lies little to no hope in her plan but for the sake of argument he'll indulge in her ideas. They make for the Human World,manage to share the Blood with the commoner Demons and so on but how does Emma plan to reach the Seven Walls? He tells her that even the Ratri Clan doesn't know where to find the Seven Walls,it's a big unknown to even them and they were the ones to forge the Original Promise. Not even James Ratri found the Seven Walls so what makes Emma think she can find them? Emma cuts in and reveals to Norman that they have already found the Seven Walls,and that was a year and a half ago,they have everything necessary to enter them and meet the Supreme Existence among the Demons. Norman is in visible shock and surprise.

Emma admits that while they have the means to get there they are still not 100% certain wether it'll all work out or not,so regardless,it remains an unknown for the most part. But if Norman wants to know more about the Seven Walls and the way to forge a new Promise then he should let her go and find out more,if she can manage to find out a way to peace he'll have to rethink his Plans. Norman wonders where all this enthusiasm and resolve is coming from and asks Emma if there are risks connected to this Plan of hers as well,Ray latches in telling Norman that they have found out 2 Important things regarding the Seven Walls: 1. They know how to get in but not how to get out, 2. It appears that most of the People that tried forging a new Promise have not managed to return. Norman,scared by these reveals cannot help but ask if Emma knows what she is proposing to him,it's too dangerous.

They have a brief comedic exchange,afterwards Emma tells Norman that there has to be a way otherwise the Ratri that managed to forge the Original Promise would not have been able to return. Emma asks Norman to let her handle it,she wants to stop the Extermination so it's only natural that she'd like to find out herself. Emma says it's nothing compared to the burden Norman himself has been carrying all this time on his own,Like a God,she walks over to him and gives him a hug while telling him that everything will be okay. He does not have to become a God for everybody's sake,she asks him if he is really feeling okay with his Plans of Genocide and if he believes to experience relief through these acts. He can talk about his worries with his friends since she does not want him to end up leaving them again. While Remembering his exit back at Grace Field House.

Norman,visibly moved by her words,looks at her and over to Ray realizing they have always been like that. Reliable and good Friends to him. He seems to struggle hugging Emma back however,most likely due to the doubts he has about their plans,he gently steps back to take her hands instead reassuring her that he will not go anywhere. He understands how Emma feels and her intentions as well but he will not think his plan over nor will he delay it to wait for her. If she really wants to stop the Extermination of the Demons then she has to find out what she can and find a solution before he puts the Nobles and Regent Families to death. He can't promise to stop his plans then either but he'll be willing to reconsider if she has something valuable to work with. Emma accepts his offer and Norman asks Ray to accompany her,which goes without saying usually,Ray accepts as well and after bidding their farewells they leave his office.

As Emma and Ray walk down the hallway,she tells him that she isn't lost anymore. She will not accept the Genocide of the Demon Race and she'll find a way no matter what it'll take. The Chapter ends with the 2 Friends making their resolve,that they will not let Norman shoulder all the responsebility on his own ever again.

This Chapter had Emma at her best,a true head vs heart and Soul exchange with Norman. I'd like to see her more in this light,she is still very optimistic but not in an unreasonable way if that makes sense,you can at least tell where she's coming from and what her intentions are very clearly. Raising the Grace Field facts did work in her favor as well in my opinion,had they always done things in the most "logical" way there is then they had suffered far more casualties and pain very early on in the story. Not even Norman could disagree with that,speaking of Norman,i felt like he was very relateable for me in this Chapter. He has seen and suffered a lot himself,but unlike Emma and Ray that made similar experiences and worse he had nobody to exchange himself with while they had each other. This became evident when he appeared like a completely different person to Vincent,Hayato and Co. when Emma and the others arrived,i'd say that was because he could be himself and not the savior for the Humans for once. Another arrow pointing at that was the moment when Emma hugged him this Chapter,he had gotten so used to his Savior-Persona that sharing his worries with her did not come into consideration which resulted in him being unable to hug her back and instead hid behind his smile again. His final expression this Chapter seemed to imply that as well. I'm not sure what to predict but i think we'll see Emma and Ray depart to find their solution while Norman starts his preparations. I'd rate this Chapter a 9 out of 10.

The Promised Neverland Chapter 129 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter starts right after Ray and Emma’s departure with Norman sitting, his head bowing down, being deep in his thoughts about the time from the orphanage. He then stands up and walks down to a basement where his own group is waiting for him, a hideous, gigantic and lifeless demon being sprawled in front of them.

Norman remarks that it has been a while since he had come to that place while the others mention that they come by often. They ask him about his conversation with Emma and Ray and he gives them the rundown. He said that they don’t want the demons to be exterminated, but states that his plan will still come into fruition. He also states that they claimed that the demon girl with cursed blood was still alive and he is thinking on what to do about the new information, including the fact that they met and befriended her. The group is in disbelief, especially Barbara as she recounted their talk with Emma earlier and realizes how much Emma doesn’t want to kill the demons. She then suddenly recalls all the cruel things that happened to her in the past which makes her spasm uncontrollably. The others come to her side, saying that it happened more often for the past few days. Cicero asks her about her medicine and even though she says that it’s in her room, Vincent had some with him and tells her to take all of it in the meantime. He also says that the medicine usage is increasing not because it’s frequent, but because the condition is worsening for everyone by the day. Barbara greatly expresses that this kind of occurrences are caused by the demons’ actions towards the humans and doubts anyone who says otherwise. She cries out in pain, leaving the whole group in total silence.

Eventually, Cicero mentions that the group had talked to Emma and Ray while Norman was out. He expresses that despite being stupidly optimistic, they are still kindhearted people. But he wonders if their leader is still on their side, if he’s still going to act like their boss and whether he is regretting everything they did so far. Norman answers back, saying that with all of his actions, he can’t go back to the way he was. Flashbacks hit back to February 2047 when Norman liberated Lambda and its tortured children. We see Norman coldly stating that the data gained from the place is not enough, considering most of it is about the human cattle. But he was determined to get all of the data he needed from the demons, which resulted in the present, where all the demons were experimented on, removed of their body parts and eventually killed. Norman, in his deep thoughts, affirms that this is his own path he takes. According to him, it was he who started all of it and needs to take care of it. For that, he alone has to take on all of the burden. He says that Emma and Ray are kind people, but in their world, being kind is never enough. He then states that the children would not have escaped the farm if he hasn’t decided to sacrifice himself and let himself get shipped out that fateful day. Regardless, he has no regrets about it. He decides to save every human cattle possible. For that to happen, he will gladly make himself a god or a devil.

Thoughts:
The chapter was excellent in bringing the side of Norman’s story to light that, in the end, makes his psychotic decisions understandable. The flashback from the Lambda facility, as well as the panic attacks, were brief, but it was enough to convey their overall feelings about the demons and the pain they went through. I sympathize with both Norman and his crew for all the things that happened with them.

The last page, especially, shows that Norman was very determined and doesn’t care anymore on how everyone views him on either extreme sides. The deeds in the past were done and that path is the only one he’ll keep on going. The conflict between him and his two close friends will start soon and I look forward to all of it.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 9/10.

Yakusoku no Neverland/The Promised Neverland - Chapter 131 Review by Seraph

Chapter Title: The Entrance

Last Week's Chapter 130 of Neverland was more of a Farewell Chapter for Emma and Ray,after telling them the particulars of Norman's plans,his desires and their resolve to "save" him from himself. They won't let him become a God nor will they let him be a Monster to the Demons,they took Norman up on his offer to leave and find a different solution before he eliminates the Nobles and Queen of the Demons. They are willing to take a journey to meet the Supreme Leader of the Demons and try to forge a new Promise with him. While at the same time trying to figure out a way to return from the Seven Walls,something which only the first Ratri has ever succeeded in.

This Week's Chapter of Neverland starts with Emma and Ray starting their journey to meet the Supreme Leader:

. In order for them to go there they needed the Golden Water that they brought with them from their previous adventure to find the entrance to the Seven Walls,a few drops of their blood and a Vida Herb that are put inside the Container with the Golden Water. What is also important for the Journey to start is that there is a Full Moon out,First comes the Golden Water then their Blood and after that they have to put as many Vida Herbs into the container as the People that are going there. 2 for Emma and Ray. Some of the smaller kids wonder if this will really work only for Don to confirm that this method has been tested by them to work,and this method has been achieved through researching the ceiling paintings that they found in the Temple.

Gilda looks on worried as the herbs start glowing and their Friends departure seems imminent. As the Herbs start glowing brighter and brighter Emma bids her Friends farewell as she and Ray touch the herbs ready to be transported to the Seven Walls,and within an eye's blink they vanish out of their sight. They seemingly arrived at their destination as they find themselves in front of a huge Gate with several ancient carvings as well as what appears to be a text/writing at the middle of the Gate. We learn through a Flashback that Gilda was able to read the Letters at the Door while Don mentioned that he never saw writing like that before. The 2 friends remember their first time travelling to the Gate and that everything so far has been exactly the same and even the writing on the Door is the same which means their Journey has been a success. The Writing on the Gate says the following:

"Beyond here is no return If ye should like to go back, ye must at once pull open this door backwards. Welcome to the Entrance."

Ray looks on as Emma remembers her first brief meeting with the Supreme Leader who told her to visit him again but through the actual entrance this time,Emma is certain behind this Gate lies the Supreme Demon Leader and is waiting for them meet again but she is also concerned because the 5th mural that they saw at the Temple showed "Pitch Black". Emma gathers her courage,claiming that travelling to the place of Day and Night isn't easy at all but she's fine with it. They may have turned around the last time but this time they mean business,they'll go forward and meet the Supreme Leader together for the sake of all their Friends,Phil and Norman. As Emma and Ray push open the gate they're engulfed in bright dazzling light,making it impossible to see anything inside the doorway. Emma and Ray look surprised and their scene closes off.

A switch of scene, It is November 2047 inside the Royal Demon Capital,a throne room with 5 Demons in royal garments stand in line or at least 4 of them. One of them,a Demon named Lord Dozza is sitting on the ground earning him a scolding from a fellow demon. What is interesting about these 5 Demons is that all of them wear a different kind of traditional clothing from Europe and Asia,but not only that Dozza is a rather rare kind of demon because he has 4 arms. Anyway,it is revealed that these are Demons of Noble Lineage/Standing and that they have been called together by their Majesty,Dozza asks his fellow Demon why he should get up as he'll have to kneel in a few minutes anyway. The demon that disciplined him is revealed to be Lord Bayon's Son,who is ironically called "Lord Bayon" as well.

Another Noble Demon named "Lord Pupo" raises his voice lamenting the loss of the former head of house Bayon as well as Archduke Lewis who is revealed to be the younger Brother of their Majesty. But not only them,Dozza also mourns the loss of Nouma and Nous of House Noum as well as "his" Luce. We remember,these were all Demons that met their end at the Hunting Ground Goldy Pond! They were all of royal heritage. Speaking of the House of Noum,there is a representative of the house present as well introduced as "Lady Noum" however her relation to Nouma and Nous remains a mystery. Dozza wonders if all of these High Rank Demons going missing could be a coincidence and asks for Bayon's opinion on the matter who mildly angry asks him what he is trying to say but just as Dozza is about to share his deductions he is shut down by Lady Noum who is out of patience with him.

Bayon and Popu remain quiet as Dozza is about to tell her his mind but he is shut down again this time by the biggest Demon in the Throne Room who is introduced as the Head of House Ivelk,he is "Duke Ivelk". He tells Dozza in a commanding tone to be quiet as he is before Royalty now,all of the 5 Royal Demons get down on their knees as Queen Regula Valima enters the Chambers allowing them to raise their heads.

This Chapter was pretty nice,8 out 10, interesting to see that these murals they discovered in the Temple actually showed how to meet the Supreme Leader of the Demons. Their method of travelling was rather interesting,when they had returned to the Shelter they had only brought the Golden Water with them but said nothing about the Flowers or the standing of the Moon. Good that the Author picked up on that and confirmed the conditions on how to get to the Seven Walls. The Final mural stating "Pitch Black" lines up with what we knew of the place that Emma briefly saw before,with black water and nobody but the Supreme Leader in there. However this Chapter was mostly setting things up for a huge load of information that is about to be dropped on us,or at least it seems to be implied to me. This meeting of the Nobles seems to either be in response to Norman allying himself with the Giran Clan/Former Nobles,to discuss the happenings of the World in the past 2-3 years or because of something concerning the Queen's own desires. I'd be happy with any of the 3 Possibilities actually. But i'm more curious as to how they learned about these movements in the World/Normans actions,i definitely think that Peter has his hands in this since he has to make his Re-Entrance at one point or another i guess.

The Promised Neverland Chapter 132 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter starts in a castle somewhere in the demon world where Queen Legravalima had called the Five Regent families about the robberies that has been going around. They note that the incidents have increased and the consequence of it resulted in local riots and started obtaining meat in other farms. They conclude that soon they will need the military to suppress the masses, even commenting on two families that have been hit hard the most and that there’d been a disaster - though one member of the family of Noum was annoyed by the sudden remark. Furthermore, the problem was beyond the families’ reach as they stated that while it is currently unknown to the public, the Lambda farm and others that fall in the same category have also been destroyed. The damage done in the facilities isn’t a trivial matter to them as the matter of how the robbers were able to destroy them flawlessly, particularly on high-level intelligent farms. The families present the notion that while they don’t know how the common folks had acquired to do such things, they were still able to eat meat from those farms and their power and intelligence already surpass a normal demon commoner. In the end, the common folks have immense power to go against them. The Queen agreed saying that she doesn’t care where they came from, but their opposition won’t be tolerated. They will find the robbers, capture and put an end to them. The word spread to the army as forms of executions will be made. Then, the Queen asserted that there’s already hints about the robbers’ headquarters and the matter expanded in various domains, so every one of them will join forces to crush them and settling on the problem before the Tifari ceremony.

While the executions take place, one member from the shelter warn Norman’s group about it. They understand that the event had started according to their plan. Norman revealed that the raids they executed has caused a sudden increase of dissatisfaction from the demons and forced the monarchy to attack against the raiders. The plan has gone smoothly since their goal is to destroy all the royalty and the five families whose armies are massive even clashing the Gilan demon clan. In their scenario, they will divide the army’s forces by forcing them to capture the raiders even though they are in a trap because they believe that the raids have caused by demon robbers. Norman comments that they should be thanking Smee for making it possible. He also remarks that the next attack will be their headquarters. Vincent asks if Norman is asking the demons for a visit and he replies that he isn’t going to reveal the current hideout and that the demon army will be targeting a different place instead. The Lamda was targeted and destroyed, the army will be using as many soldiers as they can and it’s all great for Norman because the army won’t ever target them. He then said that the Tifari will occur after that and the Queen and the families will gather inside a hall for the ceremony, noting that there’s few soldiers guarding them. But, while it happens, they will go and assassinate the Queen and the families. Barbara aggravate in excitement as she exclaims that they will change the world as the next move starts. Vincent intervenes at the moment, saying that there’s still the issue about the demon girl with cursed blood. He says that the plan can’t go with her around. Cicero asks about it, but Norman already had something in mind and called Don and Gilda to come and meet him.

Meanwhile, Emma and Ray seemingly stop in their tracks. He asks if they are after the Seven Walls and they passed through the entrance. She nods on both. He continues asking if they’re beyond it and they’re now at the place. She nods again, but he asks why, but she doesn’t know why or how they’re both suddenly at the Grace Field house.

Thoughts:

This chapter was good in setting up two upcoming meetings in the manga: The Tifari and the Grace Field House meeting, which I didn’t expect out of all places to be where the Seven Walls are. I’m not particularly excited for Norman’s plan since it’ll likely succeed, but eager to see Emma and Ray’s. The possibilities are endless in it and I anticipate that will be great.

There are tidbits that bug me, specifically about the demon family meeting and how they didn’t assume that the humans were the ones causing it and Norman’s plan have gone too smoothly again, but other than that, I don’t find major issues with it.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 7/10.

Chapter Title: Come Play!

This Week's Chapter of Neverland brings us into a whole new Dimension,Emma and Ray have entered the Door that was supposed to lead them towards the Seven Walls but instead of finding

they ended up at Grace Field House with no means to return since the Door disappeared and their minds going wild over the image in front of their eyes the 2 Friends make their way inside the House in which they spent most of their Childhood in once more. Emma is in shock after they enter their old home as everything looks exactly the same as always,Ray wonders if it really is the same Grace Field House and not just an illusion but he quickly realizes that something is different...There is no noise in the entire House...is it empty? Suddenly they hear a scream from upstairs,reminiscent of these moments when you enter a haunted house in a movie and the first murder is about to unfold. Or at least that's how i felt seeing it...

But before the 2 can go up the stairs a black ball falls down the stairs,rolling before their feet...AS IF! The Ball is soon to be revealed as an eye ball,inviting the Friends to play with him. Out of shock Emma makes a step backwards,suddenly a door appears below her feet opening resulting in her falling downwards. This all happens so quickly that our Ray cannot even hope to grab her in time,as he tries to jump after her the door vanishes into nothing and he suddenly hears Emma scream from upstairs. He quickly makes his way up,calling out to his Friend but to no avail as the entire house seems to be changing,suddenly Ray who is completely in shock hears his name being called out...as if what he's been seeing so far hasn't been crazy enough he gazes upon Isabella,his very Mother. She welcomes him home and walks towards him to give a hug,she tells him how much he's grown.

But Ray isn't dumb,he frees himself and asks Isabella and the other kids around her who they really are but he is met by only one response: "Come and play,Ray." over and over. If that wasn't enough he suddenly finds himself shrunk down,he is roughly the size of Phil now,meanwhile Isabella and the kids show their "real" faces as their skin and eyes melt to reveal their skeletons. They start chasing Ray who is running for his Life while looking for Emma,who is currently inside what i'd like to call a hell of Doors. She keeps running and entering different doors but she ultimately always ends up in the same hallway,she reminds herself that she and Ray need to stay together. She aims her rifle at a random Door and shoots through it,the sounds of her shots are noticed by Ray who runs into her direction while she kicks the door down. She ends up in the same staircase as Ray.

Just as the Friends reunite they literally lose any and all ground below their feet,Emma now too encounters the Skeletons and living toys and is left in utter shock as she and Ray fall towards the ground. As they made their landing Emma wonders how Ray became so small,they have a brief comedic exchange with Emma being turned into her smaller self as well for a moment until both return to their Original size. As Ray wonders what exactly is happening in this House the toys start to surround them again,continuing to ask for them to play along. Emma seems to recognize the voice of the toys to be the one of

who she met before on her own,She tells the Supreme being that she has followed his wishes and entered the entrance but she also declares what she came for which is to forge a new Promise but for her to do so she needs to know where the Demon God is in this moment.

He responds that he is where he always has been,Beyond the Seven Walls,the Seven Walls are hidden inside the House. The Game he wants to play is "Hide and Seek" and he wants the 2 Friends to come and find him,as he declares the start of the game an entrance by their feet reminiscent of the shelter's entrance opens and inside we can see a ladder leading down and a couple of canned goods and preserved vegetables and fruits which again reminds us of the shelter and its reserves of Food when they first entered it.

This Chapter was good,but felt overall short to me. 7.5/10. We didn't get much other than the Demon Lord messing with Emma and Ray's minds and hearts,by showing and turning their actual fond memories of Grace Field into a trip through a haunted house with actual Monsters and grotesque displays from another World. His nature might be a problem for when they reach him and actually get to forge a new promise,he may be too playful to just let them have what they want. I honestly predict that one of the 2 will have to die for this Promise to be realized as a sacrifice or something for Peace between the races,the fact that the Premium "goods" are to be reserved for this Demon God have me iffy. He invites Emma and Ray,who are both food for him into his base of operations just like that? I wonder really,but we'll see. I'm looking forward to it and when the time comes i'll be breaking this down again for you all,Until next time everybody!

The Promised Neverland Chapter 134 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter ominously starts as Ray wanders in the middle of nowhere. He does not know what is going on, where he is currently located, and what year he is in, but aware that Emma is gone when he called for her. He wonders as well how much time has passed and who he really is.

Flashbacks come in from after as Emma and Ray went inside the manhole, along the way they find numerous things, and stumble upon the shelter. Though, Emma expresses that the amount of doors is inconsistent with the real shelter. Ray concludes that it’s another game from the demon god. They recount back from the message that Minerva left in the pen as they need to fulfill all the conditions for the walls to appear. Emma is sure that the riddle left in the message is the key to cross the current place to meet the demon god. Ray then assures her that, according to instructions, they have to go ten miles north first, so he asks her how to do it. She replies that they should try the north side of the door and see what happens after it. She also comments that the compass they’re currently using is working and it’s pointing to the door just as it is from the shelter.

It leads them to an upside-down monitor room where they are walking completely on the ceiling. Ray tells Emma to be careful and she reassures him and says that they have to make sure to stay together this time around. They look around the room as Ray asks himself why nothing happens at all. He tells her to go back and check on all the doors in the corridor from the shelter and she agrees. They open the corridor door but realize that it no longer leads towards the corridor but into the dining hall and that the walls are on the floor. They keep on searching, opening one door after another, which keep leading them to all kinds of different rooms. Emma stumbles on the monitor room again, but turned around another way, now facing sideways. She then confirms that each time they open and close the door, they went to a different room. They are all warped just like the Grace Field house they went before it. She deduces that they are in a real maze. An idea pops in her head, makes her call out Ray and tells him that in the monitor room, an arrow had suddenly appeared. They guess it was part of the riddle and that they have to investigate the place.

The flashback stops abruptly as Ray states how he really thought he could solve the puzzle, clear the maze and defeat the darkness they saw in the roof painting a long time ago.

Thoughts:

The chapter, while short, manages to keep the weird yet creepy atmospheric vibes from the last chapter. It is shaping up to be some sort of a mental test from the demon god to the two kids to see if they are able to find the answer before they can talk to him and finally forge the promise.

All of the things that happened in the chapter, from the gloomy atmosphere from the first few pages to the shelter maze, are either an illusion set up by the demon god or something else entirely, like time dimensions, forms of magic or other supernatural things, but either way, it definitely took a toll on Ray. The same can be said about Emma even though the readers haven’t seen her current state yet.

I am looking forward to seeing how they will be able to overcome the harsh situation they are in, as well as the transitions between those events and the present outside world.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 8/10.

Chapter Title: The Search

This week's chapter of Neverland starts out in Norman's office,but he isn't alone,he has summoned Don and Gilda to ask a favor of them: He wants them to find Musica and Song Juu. Their Friends,who helped them way back in the Forest and teached them how to hunt and survive in the wild on their own if rations run low. Norman wants to find the 2 of them before the Ratri-Clan or the Demonic Royal Soldiers do,to protect them. An idea that visibly surprised Don and Gilda, Norman goes on to explain that Emma's plan requires Musica's Blood and that in the worst case scenario in which Emma and Ray do not return home timely they will have to go through with it on their behalf. He also mentions that he can't bring himself to fully believe into her plan just yet but he knows that if they are found by anyone but their friends they will be killed and that's certain. Norman admits that he would usually avoid sources of instability within his ranks like Musica at all costs but if she is willing to talk and allow herself to be protected by them then he won't mind it.

When Don and Gilda wonder how they're supposed to find Musica and Song Juu after 2 years of being apart Norman shows them a Map with several marked locations,Norman explains that the marks show the locations they are most likely to wander around at as well as why he thinks these are the locations for them to show up at. Factoring in the locations that are Demon Villages and Cities as well as their Temples he narrowed their options down since they'd rather avoid Demon settlements as they are likely to be searched through by Royal Soldiers. Gilda notices that one of the marks shows the Forest they first met in,which Norman confirms because the Areas around Grace Field are all forbidden to Royal Forces so they can safely hide inside them. He also marked locations that should be unknown to the Queen as well like Caves,Underground tunnels,Villages of Exiled Demons etc. Don and Gilda ask how likely it is for them to end up finding them at these spots,which Norman thinks it's very likely. A fellow fugitive knows hiding spots better than anyone else.

Norman asks if he can count on Don and Gilda to find them so he can protect them,he also promises them an escort to ensure their safety along the way. A bit later we can see Don and Gilda conversate about Norman's idea,and i'm not surprised by this reaction at all- , they are very suspicious of his idea and wonder if he just wants them to find Musica and Song so he can have them killed. Don wonders if he could've changed his mind but at the same time he admits that if he did not then he is using them as bait to lure Musica and Song out in order to kill them. Don tells Gilda that they have no choice but to go themselves,if they deny Norman's request then he'll put together a team to find them and has them kill their Friends so if they go themselves they can make sure to protect them. The 2 friends make their resolve,for Emma and Ray as well as their other friends sake and even Norman's they will go and find Musica and Song Juu to protect them both from any harm and pursuers.

It is revealed that the cheerful Hayato is one of their escorts,when some of the kids doubt his abilities the boy himself admits that he could never handle protection Missions by himself so he has a trust worthy and skilled Partner with him. We see a girl around Emma and Co's age sitting nearby with 3 Wolves next to her,which awes the Kids as they have never seen Dogs of their size before. Hayato introduces her as Aish,a girl very skilled with a gun and quite efficient at hunting and trailing...what a coincidence am i right? As Don and Gilda try to introduce themselves they are met by Aish shaking her head and closing her eyes,Hayato explains that she does not understand the human language because unlike Norman and his executives she is not from Lambda but was found by them inside one of the Demon Camps they raided in the past. She was raised by Demons and has been with the 3 Wolves from the beginning.

Don and Gilda immediatly realize,just like me, that something's not right with Norman sending a skilled Hunter and Fighter that understands the Demon Language as well as their behaviour like no other for just a search mission. They suspect that she is supposed to kill Musica and Song upon sight but they won't allow her to. As they bid their friends farewell they remind themselves of their resolve,this is for Emma,for Ray,for Norman and everybody else. They won't let anything happen to Musica and Song,because they are friends. The 2 friends begin their search for Musica and Song Juu alongside Hayato and Aish,silently thinking to themselves that Emma and Ray can rely on them to do well. And just as their thought finishes we get a switch of scene to Ray who seems to be in his late teens this time while Emma has been turned into an infant. Their Trial seems to have no end in sight,and only exhausts their minds and bodies more.

This Chapter was interesting,8/10 ,and i like that Gilda and Don are getting a part just for them in the Story now as well. It's about time they get some spotlight,and i really like how they are clearly aware of what Norman is/could be up to but play along to follow their own plans to help Emma and Ray. Although Norman is supposed to be their friend he really went and used them as bait to find Musica and Song Juu to get rid of them,which is essentially saying that he does not actually trust into Emma's plan at all despite saying he is torn on it to Don and Gilda in their conversation. And that despite them mentioning that he could be meaning what he says and grant them cover at their hideout i do believe that he wants to find and kill them. Hence he sent Aish as a bodyguard with them. Who has an interesting and mysterious background. Although this may not be the typical reunion we still get to see and meet Musica and Song again,this'll be great i'm sure. Norman mentioned the Ratri's in the Chapter and i was immediatly reminded of my Peter-Paranoia because i still can't buy that he hasn't made any moves yet. At least as far as we know. Meanwhile Ray has his hands full handling everything by himself,since Emma became an infant this time. This trial is very tough to clear,i'm definitely hyped for how this continues!

The Promised Neverland Chapter 136 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter continues with Emma and Ray’s exploration of the labyrinth where they go from one place to another using the arrows as guides. They stumble upon the monitor room yet again and Ray monologues how they went through the rooms over and over like in a real maze. Though, he notes that each room they go through changes a little. But they never know for sure which room is behind any door and following the same path always leads to different destinations. There were no patterns for them to work with and they do not have a single clue on solving the puzzle. The whole maze is also very warped in messing up time and physics to the point where there is nothing to rely on.

Ray finds it very confusing to think they might be in the quantum universe. He then wonders if it is just hallucinations or dreams before stating it has to be real and that the demon god is just toying with them. Emma ponders on who the demon god really is, though Ray shouts back saying he doesn’t know. But then Ray states that he gets the whole idea about the nature of the seven walls. Thinking back through the riddle plus a few comments from the others, he thinks about the demon god’s role and how he is able to move freely through the maze while preventing the two from going through. Emma answers that space and time are the keys and Ray agrees. He then reflects back on the symbols of the temple, a cube and hourglass, and that they were presented as the true seven walls. Emma ponders about the other riddle and about finding out how to transcend through the seven walls, leaving her distraught about having no idea how to do it. Ray agrees with her comment as saying it is something that humans can’t do. They know about the wall, but feel lost on what to do with the information. While Emma considers the situation, Ray expresses that if they take too long to find the answer, they won’t have enough time to stop Norman’s plan and little by little, his thoughts are getting jumbled, confused, with no end in sight.

They go through another room, but it leads them to a desert. Emma expresses that now they have to apply the hints to solve the riddle and transcend through the walls. Her first idea is to analyse the environment by shooting an arrow at a nearby sandstorm. Ray approves of the idea, saying that they have to try anything to see if it works. However, before he can proceed she turns into a little baby and he has to go back into the previous room. Before it happens, she disappears and he searches for her but there are no traces of her. Ray is slowly turning into an old man and sees a lot of demon figures around him. He comments that they were like them, lost and forgotten forever in the walls. He slowly starts to fall unconscious, contemplating his friends and asking them for forgiveness. Then, out of nowhere, a kid version of Emma bursts through the cabinet and proclaims that she now knows how to solve the riddle.

Thoughts:

The chapter, continuing on with Ray and Emma’s adventure in the Seven Walls, mostly kept the weird yet creepy atmosphere. The way the main points of the chapter are presented leaves it up to the readers to know what exactly is going on in their warped world. Thinking back on it through, I believe that the mechanic behind the world are indeed indeed time and space dimensions rather than illusions or magic. I don’t know how Emma and Ray will solve the maze, but I hope they will definitely do so. I am definitely looking forward to seeing the answer and the outside of the puzzle. Our two main leads are excellent as always, especially Ray who took up the spotlight ever since the puzzle began.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 8/10.

Yakusoku no Neverland/The Promised Neverland - Chapter 137 Review by Seraph

Chapter Title: Transformation

This week's Chapter of Neverland starts with the Elderly and completely broken Ray,the endless struggle got to him and forced him to collapse,infact our Friend is about to give up any hope of surviving and stopping Norman's plans...someone needs to help him get his act back together and who'd be better for that than Emma? Exactly no one is,speaking of Emma she's jumping out of the closet she and Ray used to enter the Desert-Space before as we speak,let's hope she can get him back to normal because she claims that she figured out the Rules and way out of this Space that is the Seven Walls...yeah i was surprised too...Emma of all people got the jump on Ray in a complex matter like Time-Space continuum/s. Emma who has reverted to her child size and age is approaching her way older and collapsed friend,claiming that she knows how this space works,however,Ray has submitted completely to his old age and as a result has become sort of forgetful asking Emma for her name causing her to slap him "awake". As Ray recovers from the slap,he notices that he has returned to his original form while Emma explains to him that everything is exactly how he explained it before: The Seven Walls have an unstable Time Space continuum which can be brought into balance by them,which she proves by beginning to float in front of Ray. Her friend seems confused as to how this seems to work forcing Emma to break it down step by step.

She reminds Ray that Time and Space are unstable inside the Seven Walls,but not just that,all the Locations they've seen and entered are all places that they have been to before like Grace Field House,Goldy Pond and the Shelter in the Desert all of which is immediatly confirmed by Ray. Emma claims that this means that this maze is connected to their minds and memories as well as all of their thoughts,be they conscious or subconcious,which means that their thoughts can change this space to their liking. They can transcend Time and Space inside the Seven Walls, something that Ray can't help but question and ask proof for which Emma cannot give him yet but she claims to have manipulated her own "Time" a little bit because when she was an infant she wished to grow older again but couldn't manage to stop at the right age which is why she is just a small Child right now. Emma asks Ray to think about why he may have turned into an Old man and how he turned back into his true self again,prompting Ray to remember his previous endeavors in the Desert which forced him to feel helpless and broken and as a result he turned Old and frail. He wonders how they could've wound up inside this desert but realizes that the answer is simple,before they entered the Desert-Space he was talking and thinking with Emma about the riddle that involved Sand and the Sun which prompted the space to change shape into what they were thinking of in that moment.

Emma says that the only reason they struggled so long was because they did not understand the space they had entered,and once they understand they might be able to see its Real Form. The True Seven Walls,they will appear if Ray and Emma stop Time and revert Space back to it's Original Form,Emma asks Ray to help her and they join hands in order to use their imagination together. For them to stop time and revert Space back they have to stop having doubts and worries about what's to come but believe into themselves and what they can accomplish together,as they join hands and focus their thoughts the space around them begins to change from the Sunny Desert with small windmills into a Forest at Midnight and ultimately into a Cube like Space inside a very dark Dimension. As the 2 friends look around inside the new space they arrived in both realize that this is a cube with 10 miles on each side,proving that everything Emma said before was the truth and they successfully interfered with Space and Time,Ray goes into a thinking frenzy trying to explain how this space and it's rules came to be in the first place. He stops his train of thought to ask Emma if the Supreme Demon Leader is even real or not just a trick/image created by whoever enters the Seven Walls. But before they can focus on answering that question they notice another smaller cube behind them with what seems to be a black orb inside of it. But Ray claims it to be a Hole leading into another Space.

The scene switches back into Norman's Headquarters,where some of the Kids appear to be training with Barbara and Cicero. They all get passing marks as their aim is spot on and their shots would be deadly,Vincent praises them for the Skills that allowed them to survive the Hunting Ground Goldy Pond and to get all the way here. They are exceptionally well trained he reports to Norman observing from up on high,who returns that no matter how good they are they will only be placed into the furthest rearguards at all times. He questions Vincent about the Status of Lord Gilan's group as well as something he labels as "That",the former replies that the Demon's are moving exactly as planned and that his secret is usable whenever he wishes for it. Which prompts Norman to start his march into the Royal Capital alongside Zazie and Barbara as well as an Army of genetically enhanced Children similar to Adam. War seems to be upon us,Norman's Alliance vs The Demon Nobles and their Army,who will win? Will Emma and Ray make it in Time? Can Don and Gilda protect Musica from Aish? All that and more in the upcoming TPN Chapters!

Great Chapter as usual, 9/10, the Art was incredible and the story is nearing its high and hot point step by step too and i can't wait for it to get there to be honest. It always feels weird to me when Emma figures out things that Ray could not,but with the Seven Walls rational and clear thinking is only going to get you so far as we saw. This clears the Supreme Leader of any charges i guess,he did not intentionally mess with Time and Space. He only asked for them to "play" with him,and i guess it's a game of Hide and Seek with Emma and Ray being the Seekers and he's hiding/waiting in his own Space. Having said that with "Rules" of Space and Time like these it definitely makes sense to me that nobody crossed the Seven Walls in all these years bar the First Ratri Clan Leader,Ray was at his limits and was almost broken if not for Emma saving him. I guess the "Hole" they found leads to the Supreme Leader's personal space,i just wonder if and how these negotiations with him will go down now but all to its due time i guess. With Norman and his allies marching out for the Royal Capital we're probably in for a bit of War and Bloodshed between the Humans and Demons,either that or we're going back to Don and Gilda next because without their "mission" succeeding Emma's Plan won't work out the way they want it. The Promised Neverland Chapter 138 Review by Elusia

Overview:

The chapter starts with Vincent conducting an experiment. Cicero asks if it is ready and Vincent nods. He continues on how Norman is a genius and nothing and nobody is above him, though Cicero hesitantly wants to ask something, drops it mid-sentence though. He then wonders if the demon girl with cursed blood will be found and Vincent is confident about the search party finding her, even complimenting Norman's achievement of locating the former demon royalty clan. Cicero asks then if they can kill her and Vincent nods and asks him to just trust his boss regarding the plan while conducting another successful experiment. He states that the plan is proceeding and everything is already taken care of.

Meanwhile, Don, Gilda and the rest of their group are still searching for Sonju and Musica with the help of their friend’s map, Aishe and her dogs. They have been able to find signs of demons in the secret route, but their first findings aren’t from them. Hayato is amazed by their deduction skills, but both of them dismiss it as Aishe and her dogs are doing the main work. They note that they didn’t miss a single clue or even took a long while to find them because of the dogs. They also talk about Aishe being an expert markswoman, which Hayato confirms to be true. Since having been saved by Norman she was able to learn and improve fast and became very skillful, similar to Yuugo. He adds that her five senses are sharp and immediately, she demonstrates by killing an insect behind Don. After saying thanks, he and Gilda acknowledge her as an ideal travel escort, perfect for everything, especially for keeping watch on the two of them. She wonders if they can even help Sonju and Musica, but Don reassures her saying that Sonju is always close to Musica, so they can’t be killed that easily. He expresses that they also need to talk to Aishe, though the plan hysterically failed.

The next day, they come across more demon tracks, but all from wild Demons. Gilda states that the area is dangerous since there might be a nest somewhere and according to Don, continuing in the same direction, might lead them to a demon town. Suddenly, Aishe’s dogs bark loudly and while Hayato was talking, a demon was hiding right behind him. With Gilda screaming at him to run away, Aishe readies her gun but before she can shoot, Don creates a distraction and successfully manages to lure the demon away. After the chase, Hayato wholeheartedly says thanks to them, but also expresses that it should have been simpler and faster to just kill it. Don disagrees with him, saying that it’s easy to escape on the terrain, that guns are too loud and their ammo is limited. Their mission also depends on them not leaving any human tracks, so it’s best for them to avoid killing the demons whenever possible. At night, while Hayato gathers firewood, Gilda whispers to Don about the tracks from earlier. Don agrees that it was likely Sonju and Musica’s riding animal. Gilda is less certain, but Don asks her about what to do if it’s actually theirs. Before they can say another word, Aishe talks to them for the first time, noting that she now knows about them planning to let Musica escape.

Thoughts:

Moving a little further away from the Seven Walls plotline, the chapter was good both in progressing the story and establishing Ayshe as a character. She is written as a stoic yet cool character. The twist about her knowing the human language the whole time was rather predictable, but she is still already a better character than most of Norman’s crew that we saw so far.

For now, I see her as being pro-demon, being a wildcard of Norman’s plan as a result, and her supporting letting go of Musica and Sonju, but this might backfire because of Hayato. I’m not buying him acting all aloof because he is with them and he has shown his skills as a fighter in previous chapters, so I expect him to be more than he is letting on so far. I do hope though that Don and Gilda will find a way in the end.

Overall, I give this chapter a solid 7/10.

Yakusoku no Neverland/The Promised Neverland - Chapter 139 Review by Seraph

Chapter Title: The Search for the Demons (2)

This Week's Chapter of Neverland picks up where we left off last time,with Aishe having suddenly appeared behind Don and Gilda questioning their intentions as to wether they want to save or kill Musica,the evil blood girl. But before the 2 friends can muster any answer to that question they're overcome with shock and surprise as Aishe actually understands their language and can even speak it as well,as Gilda asks her if she actually understands everything a Flashback begins to at least 15 years ago. We're following a Demon who works at one of the Mass Plantations, an individual of few words who was always giving a gloomy atmosphere off as he walked about,ever since he was small he had hated his own face due to it's(Even for Demon-standards) rather grotesque appearance. The right side of his face had lost all shape and form from one day to another and it would never recover no matter what he ate and how much of it,forcing him to hide it behind an extra Mask. In his childhood other demons would go and pick on him for it and beat him up for it even,which in his adult life led to him rather living on his own away from the rest of his kind,the only living beings he could tolerate near him were his dogs. His face felt to him like a curse,that's why one day while at work he would glimpse upon a certain life stock baby with a big mark over her face's right side he felt like looking at himself. Acting on an impulse he decided to take the child home with him,without anybody else noticing.

Once he had arrived at home with the child,he started panicking as he had no idea about humans nor how to raise them as he only ever ate them,but there was also the fact that he stole property of the Plantation wether she's throwaway food or not. Now this is an interesting moment,in his panic he considers eating the girl but perishes the thought and starts to consider her like one of the dogs for the time being,we just saw a Demon restrain himself from eating a Human being and instead of thinking of her as food he considers her as a friend because his dogs are the only living beings he ever tolerated near him. At this point i should probably confirm,yes as many of you might've guessed by now,this girl he found and took home with him is Aishe. The Demon quit his work at the Plantation and started living in peace and quiet at his house hidden by the forest,while raising Aishe which proved to be a rather difficult and tiring task as the Demon did not know anything about Humans preferences in clothing,food or attitude but thanks to some books he had lying about in his home he could read up on the subject matter/s and act accordingly. Proof that reading can indeed be educating and helpful! Ha!...But back to the Demon raising Aishe,instead of seeing her as one of the dogs he started treating and looking at her like a daughter and with the Love and Connection they build and had with another for many years the hate he would have for his own face drifted away as he had become truly happyraising Aishe.

This peaceful and loving connection was soon to be severed though,one stormy day his hideout was to be attacked by Norman and his allies who seemed to be under the impression they were committing a noble act. Zazie fought with the Demon,which almost killed him but left him hardly able to move,as he attempts to crawl towards Aishe whom he told to hide before the assault we can see Barbra run through the corridor having spotted Aishe in the back of it. Meanwhile the demon is about to breathe his last as he remembers Aishe as a baby reaching for his hand and as he remembers it he can't help but shed tears at losing his life here and now unable to protect her,he ultimately succumbs to the pain and blood loss from his wounds. An incredibly sad moment i found personally,Cicero and Barbra have finally found Aishe telling her that everything is good now and that she can come with them now. Aishe looks frightened and perhaps you could mistake her being in shock from having been tortured or the sort but we know the reality and we can see what she is saying in Demonic Language: "I won't forget this...Damn you...i'll kill you all!",Norman is responsible for her Father's death and ruining their Life together. Norman however stands there like he just committed a noble deed and acted for Aishe's good while his allies stand behind him proudly and smiling.

Back in the present we can see Aishe continue her conversation with Don and Gilda,answering the latters question with a question of her own by questioning if she wants to know why she stayed quiet or how she can understand their language but she answers anyway by noting that she prefers not to speak out of hatred for Norman and his allies. She knows that her Father fed on human meat,but he taught her everything she knows be it Language/s,reading or hunting alongside her dogs. They were family,father and daughter,she doesn't talk to them because she has nothing to say to the murderers of her parent so they begun thinking she does not understand their language. The only reason she follows their orders and acts like she knows nothing is to make the best of the situation she was thrown in,while harboring strong hatred for Norman,she questions Don and Gilda's position and intentions as they are not like most humans that don't think twice about shooting a Demon while they prefer to not fight if not necessary and wish to protect a demon like Musica even. The 2 friends respond that they don't think there is much difference between Demons and Humans,and while they do harbor grudges and anger towards some Demons they do not want a genocide to happen. Musica and Song Juu are their friends who saved them before,Emma's plan isn't something they are too fond of either but if there is a shot at peaceful co-existence then they need Musica to aid them here.

They explain why they had been discussing and thinking together in secret to take measures to their friends benefit,they also reveal that they were scared that Aishe is not just a bodyguard but also an Assassin sent to murder Musica on sight,something Don wants to know right away but is cut off by Aishe claiming that she has not been ordered to harm her and infact believed that Don and Gilda were sent to deal with them. Suddenly Don and Gilda start crying,happy that Norman seemingly reconsidered and really wants to protect Musica after all. They apologize to Aishe for suspecting her and claim that they can now look for their friends without worrying about a thing,in case Norman plans to kill them at the HQ they can still try to negotiate. Aishe is visibly surprised and impressed by the 2 friends vigor and attitude towards their Friends. The scene switches to Hayato who instead of sleeping has gone off to meet with Jin in secret,who isn't by himself but with several "Adam's". He asks his comrade about any leads for Musica's whereabouts,but Hayato reveals that he has none for today but is reassured by Jin that he'll find them and once he does they will go through with Norman's order: Once Hayato has found the Evil Blood girl Jin's Squad is to eliminate her immediatly.

Great Chapter!, 9.5/10, The Adam-Look alikes and Jin are indeed Reinforcements/Support for Hayato and Ayshe in order to kill Musica and Song Juu,i guess Ayshe and Hayato are indeed only ordered to find both Musica and Song Juu but are supposed to leave the fighting/killing to Jin and his Squad since they are the more capable fighters. Sort of a cruel twist though,just as Don and Gilda start relaxing a bit and gaining faith in Norman again we see that a Murder Squad has been assembled and following them in the Shadows,i believe Ayshe wanted to warn them about it but since she got cut off frequently she couldn't manage yet.It was nice to see that Ayshe was indeed raised like a Child/Family by the Demon,and Norman's noble act was a cruel one in reality. I suppose that's the other side to what things seem to be like in his ranks,Ayshe and her Demon Father are the best example that co-existence between Humans and Demons can work out. They could become friends or allies in the future,seeing that Ayshe's Father was able to contain his wish of eating her all the years he had been with her shows that Demons can exercise restraint on their eating habits/targets. I liked that,with Emma's plan this Dream could become a wonderful reality. I'm looking forward to how this continues,getting better and better from here on out! Till next time everybody!

The Promised Neverland Chapter 140 Review by Elusia

Overview:
The chapter starts in the demon kingdom where Lady Bayon, along with her demon kid, is heading straight towards the kingdom’s capital where the Tifari festival will be held. All of the royal families are preparing for it by going to the place as well. Lord Pupo comes running in looking for one demon Lord Dozza, but he is not found anywhere. Lady Poum comments on Dozza’s rude actions, but Lord Bayon insists that they should endure it and that he was done for in case he had gone back to his domain. He then openly states that he’d rather have Gilan back on court, which causes negative responses and panic with the other lords. He then continues on how the former Lord was integral, elegant and cared for his fellow demon subjects. Sighing at the thought of the former demon lord being condemned to be in the wild, he wonders if his banishment was necessary. While the festival preparations still on-going, Gilan is seen outside of the capital, waiting for his chance to strike.

Meanwhile, Emma and Ray are faced with an oddity of a cube that contains a black sphere. Ray thinks about several possible theories regarding it, but both know that it’ll eventually lead to the demon lord. Slowly, they approach the cube and upon touching it, Ray suddenly gets teleported elsewhere. He notices the kids, quickly realizes that he was back at the hideout, and starts asking rapid questions. Concurrently, Emma gets teleported to the Seven Walls and meets the demon lord for the first time. The demon says that they had finally meet as Emma comments that she finally came from the entrance like he had asked her to. The demon lord continues saying that he knew that Emma would find a way to him. She then asks where Ray is and he assures her that he’s safe and back with his family. He explains that Ray almost made it there as well, but that he couldn’t break through due to him thinking only intellectually. He also notes that Emma’s mind is different and looks delicious to him which makes her freeze for a little bit. He carries on with the conversation, asking why she came to the place. With lingering thoughts in her mind, she states that she came to meet him to make a new promise.

Thoughts:
It feels like a short chapter, but it does give the readers enough information and energy to carry on to the next. The first half was just a build up to the festival, but does give some info about Gilan, which is a plus. It gives you a lingering thought of whether Musica was a part of it.

Then, the second half went by and I was a bit disappointed in how it handles Ray as a character. But it didn’t bother me so much because the main point of the Seven Wall plot is part of Emma’s personal journey to making the promise. I hope it will work out for her, but I'm getting the feeling that this might not be the case.

Overall, this is a pretty decent chapter. I rate it a solid 7/10.

Chapter Title: The Promise of a Thousand Years (1)

This Week's chapter starts with a brief Flashback to when the Kids arrived at the Shelter,just as they opened the pen left behind by James Ratri where they learned about the Promise and it's particulars. When analysing the Promise the Kids realized that while it includes that neither Demons or humans hunt the other and hence are allowed to live in their respective worlds peacefully it included another deciding agreement,which we don't learn yet but the Kids are resolved to use it for their advantage as this detail seems to put the odds in their favor regarding a new Promise with the Supreme Demon Leader. Back in the present Emma confronts the Supreme Leader with her wish of forging a new promise with him,which he surprisingly agrees to much to Emma's shock but before she can calm herself the Supreme entity tells her that while he can grant her wish of forging a new promise he will get his "Compensation" afterwards. Another Flashback begins back to 1000 years ago around the time when the Original Promise was forged by the Leader of the Ratri Clan at the time,we see a battlefield where Humans and Demons are battling each other with 2 wounded knights lamenting that they fell for a surprise attack of the "Monsters". Suddenly another Knight with an Owl on his shoulder approaches them,claiming that it is time to take back what is theirs.

The knights recognize him as "Sir Ratri", he rallies the soldier with a single shout of motivation by announcing that they'll finish this quickly and then return to their homes. As they charge into Battle against the Demons we see a brief exchange between Humans and Demons with the Humans actually having the upper hand against them,once the battle was over the humans mourned their losses and the Clan Leaders came together in the night to discuss their next moves. Curiously enough,2 of the Leaders resemble Emma and Ray although we do not know their names yet they take the initiative during the conversation similar to Emma and Ray,here is what is happening: While they achieved victory in todays battle and won over one of the enemies bases the Humans took heavy casualties from it as well leaving the leaders to wonder how they can win against them,with Sir "Emma" wondering if something like a truce is impossible. Sir "Ray" and another man wonder about the likelihood of them agreeing to a truce while an elder man claims that they should fight to the bitter end,suddenly Sir Ratri who is revealed to be named Julius proposes that they should offer them a certain number of human beings so their daily needs of food are satisfied and accounted for. He claims that if Demons are offered something they desire then the likelihood of a truce would increase.

He goes on to explain that they don't need to offer humans with "value" but can always just offer them slaves or criminals that nobody will care about according to him,he is quickly silenced and interrupted by Sir "Ray" and the Elder man who claim that while it is an idea it could endanger all mankind and there would be no justice in it. Julius apologizes for his foolish suggestion and is consoled by a Woman sitting next to him that says his heart is just too confused due to the many deaths they suffered from, Sir "Emma" claims that the only way to achieve victory is for them to continue fighting together no matter their differences in kingdom and rank for this World is one they all live in. The World waged by their ancestors ends here and now,they fight for a world free of any man eaters! Julius and the others seemed to agree with him as they charged into battle once more while motivated by his words,hoping this mission will be over soon and that the only upside about it is that him and his dear friends are fighting together. However..."Hope" is a very fleeting thing as Julius would soon have to realize as the young Archduke Lewis attacked his camp and threw a pile of bodies and limbs his way,proving his overwhelming strength as a Noble. He slaugthered several soldiers within seconds and visibly scared Julius.

Lewis greets him by admiring how beautiful the moon in this night is,all while smiling at him in an almost bloodthirsty manner,as the demon approaches him intending to end his Life as well Julius realizes that he doesn't want this anymore. He's fed up with everything,he doesn't want to see more of his Comrades die in his arms as well as charging into more futile battles that only bring them a little closer to peace. He stops caring about the lives of his soldiers or their wishes and dreams because he is tired of all this,his selflessness fades away for good now. He thinks to himself that everything his friends told and promised him are mirages that will never be a reality and that he now has a chance to claim peace for everyone,there is no better chance then this. He drops his Sword and surrenders to Lewis,asking for him to be taken to the Queen as he wishes to offer negotiations....

Great Chapter of Neverland! 9/10! The leader of the Ratri Clan for some reason reminds me of both Peter and Norman at some points during the Flashback,maybe it was just me,while 2 of his comrades reminded me of Emma and Ray lol. Even their views on their negotiations with the Demons somehow aligned with that thought i felt like,i didn't think Lord Ratri made the decision to forge the promise by himself nor did i think that he would betray his friends like this. It's like he brushed all their concerns and worries aside only for his benefit,which makes me excited as to how they'll react when they learn of this betrayal and the forged promise. I'm also curious what this part of the original promise is that the Kids want/wanted to use against the Demon Leader in order to forge a new promise with him,i wasn't surprised that the Leader would be open to forge a new promise since what happens to the Real World is none of his concern and also because the Demons technically hold the reigns of Power in their hands right now. Besides,wether they'll stop eating Humans or not,the "compensation" that you can't deny him remains the same i believe. Emma will have to make a sacrifice here,it seems more and more likely at this point. Surprised by how well the Humans were holding up against the Common Demons to be honest,because i thought they were forced into this promise because the odds were highly stacked against them(Which they were to an extent) but going by what some of the other Knights were saying they had good chances and a shot at winning this War against the Demons. Though i wasn't surprised by how terrifying Lewis was in the past,he is a monster in the present so a 1000 years younger him must've been like a living Hell on the Battlefield.I suppose when faced with that i almost can't blame Lord Ratri for faltering and submitting to his own judgement,believing into his Comrades would not have saved him from this but perhaps retreating would've been a wiser choice rather than selling out all Mankind. But that's me...I'm looking forward to how this Flashback continues,as well as what Emma's "price" will be,this is Neverland's high point and i can't wait anymore.
