-I'm doing this translation of the first half of this chapter, only to make the dialogue between Itachi and Sasuke more smooth.
-I have already read aegon-rokudo's translation of the same chapter and I'm heavily influenced by it, but I differ at some points, which I'm indicating with red letters, although the meaning doesn't change much. As such, at least half of the credit for this has to go to aegon-rokudo; actually there are some parts where I copied his exact phrasing. I'm not trying to steal credit for his work.
-The following translation is MY understanding of the japanese original text.
