Thanks to 37 surviving species of plants, the only remaining creatures on earth are 4 species of insects and the last beasts on earth - humans - minutes from full extinction. sfx: whoooosh B: In this time period, the average body of a human female is 5mmm, and unknowingly gives birth to 100-150 children at once.
64) B: After birth, the newborn children feast on their mother's excretion in order to grow. B: The ratio of female to male babies is only 1 in 10, but they quickly surpass their brothers and eventually come to prey on them. B: At this point, males form two or three groups and act separately from their sisters. B: Their main food source is moss from tree roots that have pierced through the ground, but it is scarce. B: It is not uncommon for a group to perish due to being unable to find any food at all.

66) B: At the time when the fourteenth sacrifice appeared, Sakijima-san, a clairvoyant, caught sight of an Exterminator in the lowest bacterial bed in the spire. B: Corpses that were no longer capable of moving were often spotted. This Exterminator, however, appeared as if it had just been newly-made. B: The village chief, Hijikaze-san had lived in the City during his youth, and was the only man in all the villages who bore a Transmission Terminal Implant. B: Incidentally, the chief was currently receiving life enhancement therapy at the time, and so the length of his body had greatly increased.
