The Demon Contract
ーーそれは空気中の「霊体（れいたい）」に人の血肉を食わせ「悪魔化」する現象ーー
--This phenomenon of turning into a demon occurs when a human offers his flesh to spirit of the air to feast upon
引き金となる「死言（しこん）」を唱えることで肉体の一部を捧げる契約を交わし血肉を得た霊体が悪魔となる
A chanted incantation serves as the trigger, a part of the human body is offered to the spirit, a contract is thus concluded and the spirit receiving flesh becomes a demon

その悪魔を使役した大戦「代理契約戦争（ウァルバニル）」終結から四十四年悪魔契約は禁忌とされ、大陸は安定期を迎えていた
