Bossun: Shaddup, shadduuuup!! / I know, I know, stop rubbing it in!!!

Announcer: Both of our contestants will be competing in this specially-organised arena next to the main contest grounds. // The arena is a small, unused building that we've prepared such that it appears to have fallen into disrepair. // Within the building, we have installed over a hundred small cameras in various positions. // We'll be able to watch the fight's progress in real-time using this central multi-screen.
Himeko: How much cash have they blown on this thing?!!
Michiru: Don't tell me...
Mimori: That's right! / This project received financial support from the Unyuu Group!

Chapter 30: Round 3 - Shooting Gangster
Announcer: Now, then, it appears that our contestants are ready and in position. // For the Student Council team, we have Asahina Kikuno!! // And her opposition, from the Sket-dan team... // Usui Kazuyoshi!!
[insert text: "Cool" as ever... the stage is set!!]

Announcer: The rules are simple enough - it's a one-on-one game of survival. / Each contestant is equipped with two of these special infrared laser pistols. // They're revolver-style guns, so there's no rapid-firing. Each gun has a total of six shots. // If a contestant runs out of ammunition, he or she will have to find a reload station to replenish it. / And of course, once the first gun has run out of ammunition, there is always the second. // Our guns fire infra-red rays rather than actual bullets, but just for the atmosphere, they are set up to make firing noises when the trigger is pulled. / If the infra-red beam makes contact with the sensor placed on the opposing contestant's head, that's one point. // Also, for the sake of atmosphere, if a contestant's sensor is hit, it will vibrate, causing a shock to the victim's head.
Himeko: They really are obsessed with this "atmosphere" stuff, huh...
Bossun: Dammit, they've got cool outfits and everything!
Shinzou: Yes, thanks to this obsession, my outfit was stained red...
Announcer: The contestants are free to traverse the entire building as they wish. // One will enter from the main entrance of the building, the other from the rear. The first to three points is the winner.

Switch: Class 2-G, Student No. 25, born on November the 7th, blood type O. // Hobby, collecting stuffed animals (lul), special skill, solving milk-carton puzzles (lululul).
Daisy: What are you trying to prove? Mr. Creepy Stalker Creepy-McCreep. // If all you're going to do is show off how much useless information you know about me, then I suggest you put that creepy voice of yours on mute.
Switch: As for your personality... calm and collected, and you delight in verbally abusing others. (A definite "S".) // You devote yourself to the Student Council activities, and follow orders, even those above and beyond the call of duty, without question. (More of an "M" there?)
Daisy: Are you deaf as well as dumb? // If the earwax has built up in your ears so you can't hear me, I'm sure you should have no trouble poking it out of your left ear through your right.
Switch: Apparently your ponytail and glasses are considered attractive. (I'm not so sure.) // An acid tongue with a cool beauty and a severe attitude, in absolute submission to that nasty M of a club leader you have (ugh).
Daisy: Drown in the gutter, die, come back to life, then die again.
Announcer: A mighty verbal battle!! / We couldn't really catch much of what they were saying, but it appears they were attacking each other with violent verbal jabs!
Himeko: Switch is pissed off!!

Announcer: Now!! / It's time to begin this shootout between Miss Daisy and Mr. Switch! // Ready... go!!

Tsubaki: Reckless action is a bad idea in this situation. // Since the fight is one-on-one, the best tactic is to hide and observe the enemy's movements.
Announcer: Now! Miss Daisy immediately begins walking along the corridors of the building. / There is not even the slightest hesitation in her movements!
Michiru: Be careful, Daisy-chan!
Mimori: Go for it, Daisy-chan!
Soujirou: Hahahah... if the opposition expects her to take a boring tactic like that, then Daisy's won this fight already. / She must be pretty worked up about now. // Daisy follows orders unquestioningly... / ...and has no hesitation in her own actions. // She's not the sort of person you want to go up against in a game like this.

Mimori: Go for it, Daisy-chan!

Daisy: ...The little rat shows its face.
Bossun: Dammit, he's just shooting wildly!

Himeko: You're not gonna hit her like that!!

Daisy: ......... // Hm. // Even a fool can hit the target if he fires enough shots... // All right, so you got in a lucky shot!! // Now stop hiding and face me like a man!! // ...There you are.

Announcer: What's this?! Both combatants have stopped in their tracks and are facing each other down!!
Michiru: What's wrong, Daisy-chan?! Shoot him already!
Soujirou: No... she can't do that.
Michiru: ?
Soujirou: Neither can he.
Shinzou: Out of ammo?
Bossun: Yeah. // They each used up their sixth bullet in that little exchange. If they want to fire another shot, they have to draw their other gun. // (What will you do, Switch...?)
Daisy: Enough of the feinting. I know perfectly well that your pistol is empty. / It looks like we're going to be settling this with a quick-draw.
Switch: No.

Daisy: ............ / Don't be ridiculous. You can't bluff with me like that. I counted the shots perfectly.
Switch: And if you counted wrong?
Daisy: What do you mean?
Switch: The clattering noise you just heard is just one of the sounds I have stored here on my computer. // I also have...

Switch: ...a noise like that.

Switch: The rapid-fire tactic was a trap. / Back then, I mixed in the sound effect you heard just now amongst the real shots. // You heard me shoot four times, but I actually only fired three. / Like I said, I have one shot left. // From the moment the rules were explained, I realised that the key point of this battle would be the moments when the guns had to be switched or reloaded. // Naturally, I have no intention of giving you the opportunity to draw your second gun. // This is "The End".
Announcer: Ahh, a clever ploy indeed!! / Mr. Switch set up a trap exploiting the ammunition limit!!
Bossun/Himeko/Shinzou: THAT'S OUR SWITCH!!!
Switch: As expected, you were kind enough to carefully count the number of shots I made, making it very easy to spring this trap... // Miss Baby.

Announcer: Now!! It would appear that the round has reached its thrilling climax! // Mr. Switch has a single shot remaining; Miss Daisy stands motionless before him! / If he hits now, it's all over!!!
Daisy: ............ // Aren't you going to shoot me? / Even a useless idiot like yourself should be able to hit me from that distance. // Just shoot me and get it over with.
Himeko: Not yet, Switch!! Get a bit closer first!! Ya might still miss from there!!
Bossun: She doesn't have any ammo left!! You can take as long as you like!!

Daisy: You may be creepy, but you've got no guts. // Mr. Lame Otaku Stalker.
