(TN: Alright, now that Shiran has finally realized the truth, I can finally explain the joke regarding “Uro Yakenuma”. The actual technique was “manuke yarou” (which literally in Japanese is “stupid guy” backwards), with each kana reversed to make it seem like a serious technique, even to the point of Date using actual kanji to make it seem like it really existed. Luckily since I’m able to write all techniques in the original Japanese, I was able to make this brilliant joke work as intended)

TN: "Uro Yakenuma"...the two words that will go down in Otokojuku history as probably the most epic attack in series history. Yeah...it doesn't exist, but the means by which it was done made it all the more epic. The key to defeating Shiran merely wasn't "be stronger than him" but for the most part "throw him off his game to eliminate his means of copying"...and thus without the spear, he's essentially not much of an opponent. Besides...who but Date can say he won a fight by essentially abandoning (well sort of) his prided spear?
