(TN: “The gun-cover for the battle” is tied to the word “hibuta”, which is a cover that protects the muzzle of a gun. Thus, the expression states that the cover has been cut off and fallen down, thus exposing the weapons and allowing for the duel to occur)
Toramaru: WE…WE ASK OF YOU, MOMO---!!

(TN: It’s really hard to explain but “hiken” translates into “secret sword’…but since it’s a swordsmanship technique and not actually a “secret super-sword”, I’m just going to leave it as “Hiken”)

Togashi: Wh…what exactly is he going to do~~~!!
Touodu: Fufu, that Gouki: he’s already using that……………!!

Togashi: WH…WHAT---!! A…A THING LIKE A DRAGON THAT IS BURNING BLUE-WHITE FROM TOUDOU’S BLADE IS----!

Momotarou: This is said in the secret scroll……the important point of this Hiken is the Ki that is condensed to it’s utmost limit from within the body and fire it from the edge of the blade………!! At that moment, the Ki will be contained in a miniscule rin-segment, become blue-white flames and accomplish the fantastic………………!!
(TN: The “rin-segment” Momo is talking about is an old Japanese measurement that is 0.3 millimeters in length)
Gouki: Huh!! Why do you……!?
Momotarou: If Wanfu Temple is in the east, Souryuu Temple is in the west……………! But their headwater is one………!! Therefore, this Ougi too is……………!

Toudou: Stu…stupid………According to the data, he’s been initiated with training at the eastern Wanfu Temple……!!
Momotarou: WANFUJI CHOUHI OUGI: SHINKI FUUKON!!
(TN: Just like “Shinki Ryuukon”, “Shinki Fuukon” = “Sunrise-Ki Tiger-Spirit”)

TN: How cool is that. I know it may seem ridiculous at first, but just the whole aspect of Momo and Gouki summoning ki-formed beasts through their swords...well, it's just epic. (and before you ask: there will be a Minmei Publishing blurb about it next time...no way something this preposterous is going to go unnoticed by the masters of preposterous kenpou) Though the swordplay at the start was impressive and the ending just felt the epicness of this final battle of the tournament, the meat of the chapter just further seemed to emphasize Gouki's ruthlessness and his nature at winning no matter what or how he does so. The Shinki Ryuukon obviously seemed like a technique that was only worthy for those using it for good intentions...so seeing him get kicked out of the temple while taking the scroll's skill and killing his master just proves that Gouki has more in common with Toudou than he let on prior. (I'd say something about Gouki being the trump card of the whole team and going out on his own...but strangely one Japanese site sort of ranks him below Spartacus and Hon in the powers of this tournament on his own team...I really may need to go through that list once we hit the final of the final chapters of the Daibukai in case anyone is interested) But hey, I'll just let it all sink in...until next time.
