Eberstein: Nuuu, what is going on? That Gekkou; his thinking function is completely confused.
Eberstein: It seems like he was a failed work. My pride can’t forgive a failed work!!

Toramaru: Th…that guy, what is he doing---!!

Eberstein: Well, what will you do!?

Gekkou: My name is Gekkou of Otokojuku’s Sanmenken!! You’ve wagered your life and the blood that flows for me has awakened me!!

Toramaru: He…he’s returned----!!
Togashi: Ge…Gekkou has returned to sanity---!!
Gekkou: I’m sorry, Momo. Are your wounds alright?
Momotarou: I…can’t give an alright reason…………!! But this pleasant thing isn’t it!!

TN: OK...a personal promise...just talk about the chapter...no more about Nazi scientists or Superman or Mel Brooks. Just Otokojuku.

Well OK, honestly this chapter was an alright climax to the whole fight and did get Gekkou back, but there was one bit of unnervingness in regards to all of this. That is essentially this: while Momo convincing Gekkou of their times together is fine and dandy, why the heck did he have to mention the Kyoura Daiyon Kyousatsu!? Yeah, he fought in the Kyousatsu...but Gekkou was on Date's side at the time as a member of the Sanmenken of the Kanto Gogakuren! Yes it was an honorable fight but he was the enemy! Heck, there is also this: why is it that Momo is the one trying to get Gekkou back and not Date!? I sort of understand a little bit: Momo is the leader of Otokojuku's forces and the leader of the quintet who went in to face the Road to the Royal Palace, but it could have just as well been Date who did that...not to mention Date knew Gekkou longer than Momo, maybe not as long as Raiden and Hien but they were the closest of allies for a longer time through the Gogakuren. Heck, a few characters have connections to Gekkou there aside from Momo (let's not also forget Souketsu) Sure I know that Momo sort of had priority being the leader of the team but it just felt weird it was him waking Gekkou up and not Date or Hien and Raiden or even Souketsu...I'm not against Momo doing it, it just felt strange thinking back on everything Gekkou has done and everyone he's touched. (the only time I honestly can say Momo really worked with Gekkou was back in the Eikei fight during the Paaren Seiha and even then Gekkou sort of was thrown into it because Date switched with him to side with Toramaru, then died before any real interaction)

So ultimately...aside from some of the really weird bits and cliched bits, it was a strong battle, a strong three-parter and Gekkou's back. (sure he's still looking disturbing and this is really his last notable fight of the series...but anything to reunite him with Otokojuku isn't that bad) And...oh yeah, the Second Tusk is also done too, meaning we can probably move on next time!

"Don't be stupid, be a smarty! Come and join the Nazi Party!" (wait, I said no more Mel Brooks! Dang it, this three parter has so screwed with my brain that I need to take some time off from Otokojuku...or at least anything that satirizes Nazis)
