“Soldier”: This arrogant man will be enjoyed by us as much as possible.
Akashi: Come!! I now don’t know of mercy!!

TN: This is a conflicting chapter to me, mostly due to the reactions and actions of the main character involved in this. Akashi choosing to take on the remaining three prisoners of Alcatraz is just him being a bad-ass considering he's now the oldest student on the team with Jaki and the Shitennou gone and is mostly unstoppable with the power of his Zanganken. But on the other hand...the way he ended up bossing around Toramaru for his sobbing over essentially losing his greatest friend and ally...was a tad out of line. Different characters have different means of accepting loss, from Akashi stabbing his own hand to Date's personal abuse we saw in the Paaren Seiha to...well, Toramaru. He's a way more emotional character (obviously with all his reactionary shots) so he should be able to grieve the way he wants to instead of what is considered "manly". But hey...at least Akashi can make up for this with some awesome fights coming up next time. (BTW: is it just me or does the beret-guy seem a bit like Heidern from the King of Fighters series?)
