TN: Alright, this is just getting ridiculous on the whole Toudou survival front. I know some characters, both in the West and in manga, have massive amount of "prep time" to make themselves ready to handle anything and everything that comes their way. But to literally have Toudou fall from the sky, right onto a submarine with the best medical tech and doctors in the world who are able to save him from essentially being sliced in half...yeah, as ridiculous as this series gets, that has to probably be one of the kickers. Most of the time when the series dives into the realm of ridiculous, it does so in a tongue in cheek manner, such as with bizarre battle strategies authorized by professional sources. But the way that they do so with Toudou's survival just feels like it sort of crossed some sort of line that really shouldn't be crossed, even by this series' standard of insanity. It's easy to explain why someone can wear a "bat-man" costume or use a pogo stick or crocodiles in battle...but slicing in half and being instantly resewn seems to just make one feel about how ridiculous this series is getting. I even wonder if Miyashita knew what he was doing with Toudou's means of survival this time. Heck, I just keep wondering if Toudou was meant to be the villain in the first place considering how fast and sudden the revelation came and how it is ended up used.

I guess I really should comment more on the match, but somehow it's really hard for me to think about it with...well, Toudou's insanity. It's sad seeing Akashi get all torn up thanks to Hornet, mostly due to one bluff of a move. I did like how the swordsman did actually finally defeat him, but somehow this fight just feels so short that it doesn't feel like the direness of Akashi's fight in the Daibukai against the Ryouzanpaku General. It's like he gets stabbed a few times and comes from behind for a victory...sort of like how everyone in this series pulls it off. I guess though that with how this series is turning out now (and the whole Toudou thing), it's hard to really say anything about the match that really should be center stage this time.
