(TN: I’m not quite sure what Yudetamago were going with this guy, but he’s essentially an exact copy of Ryuuji Takane, the lead character of fellow WSJ series “Ring ni Kakero” by Masami Kurumada, which was running at this time alongside Kinnikuman. I think the first people asked were a homage too…but don’t ask me to what)

TN: I know what you're thinking: yes the chapter was slightly cheesy. But in some ways...it was a good sort of cheese. The whole situation of the kid who happens to be disabled inspiring Terryman to go out there probably fits much better in some sports movie than in a shonen manga. But believe me, I actually got a little emotional from it too...not too much, just a little. If you think about it, a hero who has a disability learning to overcome it will always be a good tearjerking story...and considering that having a fake leg isn't a penalty in Choujin wrestling, it's not like it's that much of a loss compared to...well, other things. Oh and BTW: am I the only one surprised by the "Ring Ni Kakero" cameo in this chapter...just wondering.
