anyway on topic: anyone who reads neuro? Is there any sign towards an ending? Btw don't fear for psyren. It's its first rating that low in a while.

Hmm didn't Psyren have a character popularity poll started in January or something? Anyone know how long those take to do? *Wants to see more color pages for it*

I'm 2-3 volumes or so behind the current chapter in Neuro and can't say that it would be in need of an ending at this point. Though, I'm always in favor of keeping series rather short than long, so no problem with the final coming any time soon as long as it isn't rushed or messed up >.>

Thing is they were pimping it way before Toriko came along. When Toriko came out in May Bleach was already a color page whore. Having to guess I would say Kubo is always ready to produce a spread and first page in color no matter what. If this were about Bleach being passed the editor in chief would be damn sure to get Toriko the extra color and promote what's hot.

Bleach has an excuse no matter when. This time before Toriko premiered, Bleach was in the middle of "Turn Back the Pendulum" hype, among other things including obsession with the Shrimpo movie and the anime as is. But somehow, with Bleach's profile suddenly more obscured with Toriko and Bakuman's rise, I didn't expect it would be whored as much (or more) than usual.

Neuro's on it's final legs. The last battle's beginning now, and both Neuro and the main villain are both pretty much on their last spurts. Unless Matsui really drags things out, I'd say we should be seeing a Neuro ending in perhaps 2-3 weeks.

Somehow I imagine Matsui making it an even 200. Once he hits that, he'll just leave the magazine with no problem.

Honestly, I don't blame any newer series right now on rankings. There are so many semi successful newer series that the editor can't help but shuffle everything around each week. We have Toriko and Bakuman pushing everything downward. Then we have Kuroko and Inudashi taking up the middle. Then we have Bokke, Psyren and Sket Dance trying to keep out of the bottom five. Then there are the two unranked series pushing everything down. All other series start doing worse once there are unranked series.

Although I don't really agree on Bleach getting colour pages again, you've got to admit that his colo's are pretty (plus I'd like to see Ulquiorra's badass form in colour).

And am I the only one who likes the current arc in DGM? It reminds of the series's earlier days when Exorcists were on missions looking for Innocence. And I liked the sudden jump.

The first chapter of Hoop Men is actually...quite good. Sigh, now I no longer hope for it to crash and burn. The next set of cuts are going to suck.

I'm kinda pleased with this week's ToC. Some minor displeasure (Psyren : () - but it's just too difficult to make a "perfect" ToC currently.

True but you could make the case Naruto is number two. While it's the cover series it doesn't have color and number two is the only reasonable spot for Naruto if it's not number one.

This is a weird TOC if a likable one. Seeing Neuro high is refreshing. I like all the series with color though I would have liked to have seen Bakuman retain the cover.

Seeing Neuro this high must mean it's really about to end. I imagine this is Shueisha giving it a pat on the back for a long (and brilliant) run, much like when Yuusha Gaku suddenly made it to the middle of the magazine when its time to end came.
