Ah, so Matsui's getting an "exit-one shot". Nice. (a lot of mangaka get those these day in Jump SQ after their series has ended, it's a good bone to throw to them)

Oh, don't bring Goku/Majin Vegeta into this fight. Probably the worst, most unneeded part of a mostly fun arc. Never will top the first fight between them.

Think of it as the epilogue to the manga. One example of it is probably that deathnote exit one shot that focused on Near after the manga's end.

Tried my best with camera, since my little brother got a virus on the computer with scanner, I didn't bother using it. Besides, it's not even installed due to system restore.
Augh, I don't know if you can see it or not, I had to take it by camera since my little brother got the computer with the scanner infect by a virus yesterday.

Looks pretty cool I'll probablly enjoy it.

Also the Bakuman cover is awesome.

While Shueisha usually puts up the small cover pages a few days ahead of release time... it hasn't done so yet for the June release

It "might" be updated on Monday, but no idea if it'll be earlier than that.

Thoughts about this issue's Akaboshi

Ahhh... Akaboshi is going better than my first impression now! I mean they sounded as if they've already gathered all 108 of them in the first chapter, but now we know that it's still in the gathering phase with Taisou in charge of finding a few of them.

Kind of wierd is that they would call Oushin the next star, as he didn't join the group and wasn't one of the 108... :/

Still fun to read, though, I must admit, can't really create that kind of longing for the next chapter compare to Akaboshi (will, you can't really blame it, that's usually the way with school comedy drama...)

But is it just me, or it has that "Kano feel" to it?

Actually think of it as the mangaka getting one more story in Jump SQ after their series is done in the main mag. Kano and Nishi both got them notably in the last year, so Matsui getting one makes sense too.

Does anyone have any idea how well Sket sells? I was thinking about it's oncoming battle with Medaka for school life supremacy, and I figured sales would be one of the factors that would be counted for (or against it.) I have a feeling that Medaka's going to win....but I just wanted an idea of how well (or not well) Sket fares in sales numbers.

(As for my personal opinion, I do like Sket more than Medaka, and while I think that Sket would be the candidate to step up if Sorachi were to put his pen down on Gintama, Sket is still far far far away from replacing the Samurai series, simply because while it can do serious and comedy, it can't do action without seeming OOC, meanwhile Gintama can do it's (Sket's) type of comedy, humor, and throw in Jump-like action with no problem, so it covers all of it's bases and then some. Still...long live Sket dan!)

Sket volume 7 sold a little more then 70,000 copies during the two weeks it was in the top hundred. It's among the lowest sellers in Jump.

Kochikame in the bottom five? I've never seen that happen. I mean, it's not in any danger, but it means that A LOT of unranked series' are in the magazine this week, between color, cover, new series' and the oneshot. Enough series' to push Kochikame down around 5 slots.

Kochikame can stay in the bottom 5 for the rest of the year for all I care. Not like it would matter anyway.

But yeah, no Sket or Psyren in the bottom. If only Mago would get a bit higher. >:

The latest Eyeshield chapter was rushed like all hell. The series ending in the next 5-6 chapters is believable to me. A shame this arc couldn't have been handled better but oh well.
