The thing is that Haki was portrayed to be rather rare and if all Strawhats will posess it, that would make Haki's iniqueness cheaper.;)

P.S. I can't actually disagree that Zoro and Sanji might have Haki at some point, but I don't believe that they will get whery proficient with it and I don't think that every Strawhat will have it.

How can ppl still say Haki is are?

Rayleigh clearly said everyon possesses it and it just depends on the extend u awaken it. And we have Amazon Lily only as 1 example where everyone knows Haki.

He said that Haki dwells in every being, but to get to use it or control it it's totally different thing. You need not only special training with the person that knows it, but you also need some luck, cause Rayleigh said that some people can't achieve the usage of Haki during the whole life.

That doesn't take out the Lily Amazon thingie. And the "rare" Haki is not Haki itself but Haoshoku. The rest is common between strong fighters. Remember that VA have it and there is many people fitted to that role and above that line of power and training.

Actually it's not that common aside from Amazon Lily.:)
We saw Mantra from Enel and his four Priests, a girl also from Skypea, that fat guy Sentomaru, Vice Admirals and above (14 soldiers in total in the Fleet), Kong (obviously, cause he was the Fleet Admiral previously), Roger and Rayleigh, Ace, WB + Marco, Joz and Vista. Also Dragon is confirmed to be Haki user. So, with Luffy and Coby for now we have 32 characters that showed that they posess Haki aside from residents of Amason Lily.
That's why I'm saying that it isn't that common, cause in OP world there are millions of people.:)

The problem with such statements is the definition of common, no?
One in a million is said to have kings haki; Luffy, Ace, Hancock, Rayleigh, WB and Shanks. With just those six we can almost say that there are roughly or more than six million people out there. I'm certain that more will show up with the King's haki.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that king's haki is supposed to be the rare "thing" while Haki is more common but the development and the apprehension of it is something else. I mean Ace showed it at such a young age but didn't know what happened when he released it. That should be quite common but not the norm through out the Op world, like Aisa.

Well, haki as a whole is something we know for a fact each and every human and living being has.
http://www.mangareader.net/103-56928-11/one-piece/chapter-597.html

In itself, learning haki is something which anyone could do. The fact that all kuja warriors can use haki proficiently is proof of that. If haki was not something inherent then it would not have been able to become a part of their culture. It is a characteristic of living creatures if you will. In that sense, it should not be thought of as if it was something like a DF power which is inherently unique. All the strawhats have the potential to acquire haki. The difference will lie in which side they lean to mostly although all of them should learn both to some degree. Only franky should be kinda exempt from the haki requirement considering there would be ways for him to get around it and any actual increase in strength he has will be due to upgrades to his technology. Still, haki is not in any way comparable to devil fruit powers. It's not like haki users can really hold that against devil fruit users considering devil fruit users can have haki as well.

I also had another thought. Even though it was stated that haki would allow you to come in contact with a logia user's body we still have seen examples of that not being written in stone. For example, whitebeard impaled aokiji with his spear and aokiji lived. Marco and vista attacked akainu and even though his intangibility worked he still showed annoyance at the fact that they were haki users. Jimbei is a potential haki user and he still could not get past akainu's intangibility.

Now, based on what we have seen we know for a fact that aokiji, kizaru and akainu are haki users since it was already stated all VA could use it (and they were all VAs at some point). Other translations say VA class marines which would further suggest admirals can use haki. In that sense the confrontations we saw confrontations with haki users. I am thinking that for haki to be able to hurt an intangible target it has to overcome its haki so to speak. Akainu and aokiji are haki users as well, in that sense it is extremely likely they had a haki armor covering their bodies as they were attacked by other haki users. Vista, marco, WB and jimbei were all beat down when they confronted the admirals so perhaps they could not muster the haki they would have needed in order to overcome the admirals haki armor at the time. Or perhaps being that hurt stopped them from altogether using haki. Anyways, oda has not explained everything about haki and its applications against DF users yet.

I doubt that people in New World, the ultimate sea, lacks Haki. And I seriously doubt that we're seeing stories about common people of the world of One Piece. :/

I think it kinda depends. I think in terms of what we will see in the manga haki will become increasingly more common as one of the main conditions to activate it is to develop a measure of strength. People who master it to the degree luffy has probably would still be weird but at least people capable of using one type of it in a rudimentary way will be common IMO. I also think that at least the top members of any enemies the strawhats fight will have it. Heck, I would not really be suprised if neptune along with the princes and even hodi can use it.

I'm not trying to say that noone knows Haki and that it's super secret.:) It's just that I don't want to assume that the majority of people already knows it and just doesn't want to show it. Also I don't think that it is so easy to learn.:) Rayleigh did tell that you might not aquire it through all your life.:)
I just want to see Zoro and Sanji using it and then I'd say:"Yeah! they can use it!":) And until they'll show the ability to use it we should assume that they can't. Not because I'm so persistent, but because it's just safe to assume like this.:)

I don't think the issue will be that people try to keep it a secret but rather that haki itself is invisible. Has luffy mentioned it every time he has used haki? Did Rayleigh mentioned he was using haki against Kizaru? At some point we are just going to have to assume people with a certain degree strength have haki because oda will not bother stating it every time. It's not like haki alone makes you allpowerful. Just look at the Kuja, only boa was stronger than luffy yet even the lowliest of the kuja could use haki. Heck, several kuja were even taken out by luffy's conqueror's haki lol. As enemies get stronger haki will become progressively more generic as haki is something that comes with strength and experience (hence my point that haki is not something which should be thought as something like a devil fruit).

On another note, I wonder if luffy will figure out a way to combine haki with his specific devil fruit, basically an ability which would not be possible without haki and his specific devil fruit. For example, enel was able to combine his electric powers with his mantra/observation-haki to enhance his perception to an unknown degree. I hope luffy does something of the sort.

Actually I'd say Oda normally shows when Haki is used. It's not like a secret normally.
I'm not saying that many people don't have Haki. It's just I don't like when people say that:" Zoro and Sanji have Haki! Why? And why not?"
I'm only trying to say that it's safe to assume that a particular person can't use Haki until it's proven by manga otherwise or will have to endure the arguments like:"Oh, Nami will surely beat Ao Kiji! Why? And why not?"

I think he started on combinening CoA Haki with his DF attacks and he might actually make entirely new attacks like Elefant Gun.

The times oda has actually stated a character uses haki are far fewer than the times oda ha not stated it. At first we had no indication that the kuja, Rayleigh or Sentoumaru actually used haki for example. That was later cleared up but in turn I would think there are plenty other similar situations. Take the time Jozu attacked crocodile. There was no visible indication of haki but in turn it would be the only explanation to jozu making contact. It would be the same thing against aokiji. Marco was able to hit kizaru however it wasn't confirmed until 40 chapters later that he was a haki user. All VA and above are in fact confirmed haki users and yet we have hardly seen indications that they can use haki. For all we know the VA who took out luffy before his second dose of adrenaline hormones were also using haki. What about garp the fist? He is able to hit luffy normally but there is no indication other than that that he is able to use haki. I really don't think oda bothers to state each time a character uses haki.

You didn't get my point.:)
He doesn't need to state it. You can see it clearly.:) Actually I didn't need Rayleigh's confirmation to know that Enel's Mantra was a form of Haki or that Garp uses Haki infused attacks, cause he can punch Luffry and make him feel pain. Also if in a normal fight a person can hit a Logia user you don't need confirmation that this person has Haki (with the exeption of cases like between Luffy and Enel, but you got my point), cause it's given.
Also normally Haki infused attacks are pretty much visible. Like Luffy's attack in Sabaondy when he one-shotted Pacifista.:)

The actual attacks are visible but haki itself is invisible. If sentoumary hadn't actually stated luffy was wearing haki we would really have no way or reason to think luffy used haki.

I actually though it was pretty obvious even without Sentomaru saying that he was using Haki, but still I agree that not always you can say when person uses Haki or not. But when Kuja Pirates imbuded their arrows with Haki it was rather visible.:)

Yes, that's the way One Piece is - always surpassing our expectations.:) That's why we like Oda and his masterpice.:)

How was the haki of the kuja arrows visible? Haki as a whole had barely been mentioned by then, I don't think we would have even suspected the arrows had haki until rayleigh explained it had margaret not specifically mentioned it.

Ok, I might be wrong.:) But still when Shanks got on Whitebeard's ship to talk to WB and was using his CoQ Haki to show of it was quite visible.:) It looked like when in Bleach characters felt opponents with overwelming Reiatsu.:)
