But if they are like the people from Meteor City,they wouldn't have any birth record.There are a lot of people in the world who don't have any birth certificate so all 5 of the Zoldyck children might not even have one.Kikyo came from Meteor City,so to the government she does not exist since she does not have a birth record.

The theme that plays during the training when they're all lifting weights. I really like that tune.

Zeno's VA will be Ootake Hiroshi
Silva's VA will be Yamadera Kouichi.
According to Wiki, Kalluto's VA will be Noto Mamiko.

So Silva will be voiced by Spike Spegal and Gintoki's master Shoyo-sensei. If he wasn't badass enough already.....

Meanwhile Kalluto looks like Enma Ai (Jigoku shoujo) so it only makes sense that his VA be the lady who provided Enma Ai's voice.

I do wonder who they'll get to do Alluka? Or more importantly...the Spiders? Their voices have to be PERFECT.

This weeks episode was damn good! and possibly my favorite episode so far. The bgm was on point too. All I gotta say is that this was a BIG improvement over the previous episode.

Canary fans are gonna love this episode (24).

I figured that there was going to be filler* in this episode since I suspect they will do the Gotoh chapter along with the last chapter of volume 5 because they fit in together.

*It's filler in the sense it wasn't shown in the manga. But it is spoken of...sorta like
how Hisoka vs Bodoro was technically filler but spoken of in the manga.

I wonder if they had Togashi's ok and all that extra info they made about Canary.
Would be pretty cool.

I rarely ever think filler is good but in this episode it was great! and I believe Togashi is truly working closely with madhouse on this anime.

My one nitpick with the episode is when Kalluto asks "Friends?" or something like that. Wasn't he just supposed to stare them down?

But other than that the episode was fantastic. I mean really how many times are we gonna get to see Canary kick some serious butt?

Also a good amount of blood shown in that "fight"...oh who am I kidding? Canary slaughtered the lot. XD

And did Zebro say Mike would help him clean up? No wonder Mike is getting fat. Zebro keeps encouraging him.

Also looks like they censored Milluki smoking. Dunno why...I mean isn't he like 19 or something?

Still awesome episode. And next week we get to see Gotoh!

Looking back I think Kalluto probably should have just stared at them like in the manga, but I can forgive it lol.

Canary definitely did slaughter the lot of them, and Mike probably ate like a king that day.

Gotoh's coin game is gonna be beast! next week.

Loved the animation this episode. Particularly the mood lighting choices. And damn, this is the first time I hear with detail Zoldyck's theme. A bit cliché, but cool anyway.

This episode was pretty good.Madhouse seem to have a tendency to follow a certain colour scheme.Purple colour seem to be widely used in this arc.

I have mixed feeling for the additional filler.While it is good that Canary was given a chance to shine in the filler,there was some info that should be withheld for later,like the mention of the meteor city and the phantom troupe.It was never mention that she came from meteor city but I guess that is okay to add in.
There was some changes with the seaquant thing.He was supposed to lead the invasion,not some dude who remind me of some character from Bleach.

I also prefer that Kalluto just glare at them,for him to ask if Gon is Killua friend,it didn't fit with the scenario, because it had been mention time and again by Kikyo and he is always by her side most of the time.(Likelihood,Kalluto wasn't a good listener in this case)

I really like the colour chosen for Kikyo outfit and Kalluto one. Their clothes look much better compared to the 1999 version.I think madhouse is making Kalluto resemble more of the way he look in the chimera ant arc.

The lighting for the part when Silva appear was pretty cool.

They show a lot of blood this time around.Canary getting stabbed in the hand caught me by suprise.

It is just me or does Canary height seem to change during the flashback?

A pretty good one this week, definetly better than last week. I'm sort of mixed about the filler first half though, While it was the flashback that shows how calluto and killua were connected, It didn't go on for that long. but at the same time it was nice to see calluto kick some ass, and the group that other guy was in no less. Its another odd case of filler that 'fills in' some cracks that were mentioned but not explored. I liked the second half though, I have to say that was executed near flawlessly. the usual out of mood-ish music used when killua got out matched perfectly as killua really dosn't respect the fat guy much(forgot his name XD) The meeting with silva was nice. one minute you think he's cool and the next you realize he's a complete ass. the mother (argh, I have a problem remembering names of characters I don't care for) even creeped me out a bit as she ran and kalluto's voice made it near obvious that he was a boy having to dress as a girl.

I'll give it a 7.5/10, I'm really mixed on the filler otherwise I'd give it a 8 or so.

next week we get the coin flippy guy, but I suspect we may get another "expansive filler" here. either these guys are trying to be careful as all hell to pace themselves or its some other issue.

aw who cares, HEAVENS ARENA! HEAVENS ARENA!!

I'm not sure if anybody here really are newcomers to HxH but just in case...SPOILERS

After the whole Gotoh coin toss craziness he is able to trick Gon with a deceivingly simple coin flip. In the next chapter Kurapica explains the trick.
It's likely they want to keep the chapters back to back because otherwise if
they have Chapter 43 in one episode and Chapter 42 in the next then
people may forget about the coin flip and it won't flow as well. By having the
episodes back to back it flows much better. Plus it's the last chapter of
Volume 5 and it's also the point at which they go their separate ways.
I think episode 25 will end either there or when Gon and Killua head over
to Heavens Arena. Episode 26 will be the early bouts of Heavens Arena
and the fake nen teachings of Master Wing. I think it will end with the
reappearance of Hisoka which would match well with the first opening
since Gon chasing after Hisoka seems to be the big point there.

Heavens Arena and the first part of Volume 8 is mostly about going back to Whale Island and more info on Ging. Also as many have predicted
it will be a good place to have a flashback about Kite.

I completely agree. I think we'll have a separate opening for when we start the Yorknew arc.

I personally hope that the new opening would cover the most or maybe all of the York Shin arc. In the old anime it was covered in 26 episodes and there were moments where it could be shortened. So about 18 episodes would be ideal. +9 episodes of Heavens Arena, and GI could be started at episode 53. So the opening has to show Genei Ryoudan as well. +Neon, bodyguards, mafia with Injuu, and it might be centered on Kurapika.
Even if going with 1999 pace, 26 episodes starting from after the Zoldyck's arc finished exactly at the 1999 TV end. Starting a new opening with only 6 episodes worth material (I personally think the first OVA was dragged as hell) is kinda strange. On the other hand, 22 episodes for GI (just like in 1999) is imo an ideal opinion. So maybe other four will cover the end of York Shin arc.
