Re: Is a hippopotamus a hippopotamus or just a really cool opotamus?

...okay

...okay

I'm confused
This week's episode of Community was so good. Love the littler flashback/vignette thing they did.

) and there's still three days until I can unleash myself upon Hell. I need something to fill those three evenings with after I've studied like a boss for my exams.Parks and Recreation - I actually look forward to it more than Community. So, Bob, Tiff, you guys got any other comedy shows to recommend? I'm soon done with Community (loving it) and there's still three days until I can unleash myself upon Hell. No no, I definitely am. I've watch the show since the first season, I've recommended it before to some here IIRC. I just think Parks and Rec is more consistent in quality. The first season or so is bit different than what the show becomes, some have complained it takes effort to get through it. It's done by the same people who created the American The Office. It has a similar format, instead it's set in the Parks Department in a small town in the midwest US. So many good characters, great show. The first: Never heard of it. I thought you weren't that big a fan of Community? I'll IMDB it.
The second: Heard good things about it. Gonna download![]()
I'll watch it tomorrow when I'm less tired.
Well, I don't mind so much that Jeff would have to be tied down to one woman, even though being douchey and womanizing is kind of his thing. It's more that I just don't like the characters as a couple. It doesn't feel natural to me.goldb said:I feel like if Jeff was with Annie he'd have to be all "domesticated" and it'd take away from his awesome womanising ways. So yes, I agree with what pretty everyone has commented; I don't see them working well together. It's a nice idea to flirt with but it should just remain that.

Parks and Recreation - I actually look forward to it more than Community.
Happy Endings - Newer show, reminds me of Scrubs and Friends in a way. Sort of frantic, but in a good way.
That's awesome you're loving it so much, Nuno! You must've been marathoning, lol. Nice. Also, your new set is epic win!No no, I definitely am. Yeah Happy Endings wasn't even going to be renewed this season. It was a mid-season replacement two years ago, and only had 13 episodes. They renewed it for a full season this year and the ratings shot up. There are times in the show where I have to rewind and make sure I got the joke, mainly because the references in it are so fucking hilarious.

Both are great. I can see you probably enjoying Happy Endings more, but I'd still encourage you to give Parks & Rec a shot. Almost everything after the first season is pure gold, especially after Chris (Rob Lowe) and Ben join the cast.
I will probably catch up with it once it's all over since I wanna keep my collection.
Oh really? You dropped it? I guess I haven't been as thrilled with this season as I was with the past two, but I'm still watching and still think it's funny. Although I don't watch week-to-week... I usually let them build up in my DVR and watch a couple here and there. Right now, I have 4 to watch.I followed Modern Family for like 2 seasons and it was good consistent fun I found but season 3 just didn't sit well with me, and slowly I dropped it and don't really miss it anymoreI will probably catch up with it once it's all over since I wanna keep my collection.

Awesome! Yeah, treat yo'self was fricking hilarious. I have a feeling you're going to love Tom.goldb said:Gary's told be about Parks and Happy Endings before so I'll check out Happy Endings first. I remember the "Treat Yo'self" clip which was awesome, if the rest of the show has stuff like that then boy!![]()

Yeah, I can see that. But maybe I'm not tired of it yet because I've never watched in a consistent way? I don't know.Modern Family is a good show, but I haven't really been following it weekly like I used to. It sort of feels repetitive now.

I think's cos there was a period where I was constantly working and had internet problems and couldn't download the episodes as regularly as I previously did. After the problem was fixed and I had time to catch up to my series, I had forgotten about Modern Family and really haven't been eager or anxious to pick it up again. Heck, I even dropped Family Guy; can't remember the last episode I saw.Oh really? You dropped it? But seriously, what was it about the season that made you drop it? The fact that Lily now talks?![]()
"eagle medallion, gah gah!"

But yeah, once the season ends, I'll get them and just watch them back to back.

Yes! Thank you so much for reminding me about this show!goldb said:Oh Tiff, I wanna recommend Sherlock to you, if you've not seen the series yet. It's hilarious british humour and the plot and script are quite brilliant. The episodes are 90mins long and there's 6 over the course of both seasons so far.
kaylee showed me the first episode when I was staying at her place in London and then I watched another episode on the flight home. Haven't watched it since. :x But I loved it! The casting of Sherlock and Watson was absolutely brilliant and the writing was fantastic. Now I need to go get the rest of the episodes.
I know! I love Tom's "style"goldb said:"eagle medallion, gah gah!"
Asian dude named Tom, almost as funny as a black guy callled....nevermind

I'm not remembering that scene specifically either...Finally seen 21 Jump street...the scene when Johan Hill said to Channing Tatum: "Let's make a baby"....I was like.....<dude, you're reading my mind>![]()
But there were sooo many funny scenes and lines that it's hard to keep track of them all. I need to watch it again...
Neither could I, then I checked wiki and the last I saw was the when the family stopped by an Amish county and Meg fell in love with one of the kids there.Cool. Coolcoolcool.
You know, I can't remember the last episode of Family Guy I watched either.... :/
Yeah not surprised kaylee rec'd it to you, seems like the type of show she'd watchYes! . Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are amazing as Sherlock and Watson and Stephen Moffat is an absolutely brilliant writer( Doctor Who, Tintin) so I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Wait til Andrew Scott appears as Jim Moriarty; his performances are so brilliant that you almost question the sanity of the actor playing the role. It's brilliant
I know! I love Tom's "style"
The character's real name is actually Darwish Sabir Ismael Gani, which he changed to Tom Haverforld so he could go into politics.![]()
