That's probably true. He left a ranting message on the Community creator's phone about how the guy doesn't know humor and that he helped "make" the show and whatnot iirc

Yeah but he's had that reputation ever since he left SNL after the first season. Nothing really new and I question whether those recordings were genuine or not.

Reputations just don't go away. It's not easy to be one of the most popular comedic actors in a generation and just STOP making movies or TV for over a decade. He's notoriously difficult.

I don't know. My point is he stopped making things, so that would mean he didn't have to change the way he is. He got on Community 3 years ago, but he's a supporting character. I doubt he has to work.
