well so far, I've watched until right before Ippo's title match so the one that really sticks has to be Ippo vs Sendo.

But the anime was made like years ago.. surely if they wanted to continue they wouldn't have waited that long, would they?

Anyway, I really love the intensity of the fights.. I think most sports genre have this attribute. Plus, I'm also learning stuff about boxing I never knew. And so far, all their techniques are real as in used in by boxers.. unlike PoT, their techniques further in the story becomes absolutely unrealistic. So are the techniques used later on still real or do I have to prepare myself for some typhoon punch or something like that

Well the Action is about to Start ....

Takamura has like always his own parts *lol*

For the Fight I hope that Ippo make's it clear in 1 or 2 rounds and beat the crap out of him....

It's quite possible they're waiting to find a good spot to end the 2nd series anime. There's really only been title defenses for Ippo and his rematch with Miyata hasn't even come yet.

Only Takamura has been winning titles (which were good, but overall he didn't get many battles) but I doubt HnI will end after Ippo and Miyata fight again so they might just be waiting for somewhere to end at again.

After that may be aiming for the World title and then undisputed championship or something.

....So, no one has the album and can translate Yuuzora no Kami Hikouki?

hmmm.... cool chapter no doubt. but im mostly curious to why Takamura is so pissed.

my guess is that he wants his fights to be under the same condition, winner takes all.
but its hard to tell without a trans... we'll see

Maybe he thinks that if Ippo starts to earn that much money people are gonna start thinking he's worth more then he is.

We all know that Takamura isn't gonna compare himself to the Big Mara but i don't think Taka wants to lose his position as the money maker of the gym

@Boff a real typhoon-like punch? I can only imagine that the movement of the arm would be like a typhoon vertically.. like how the corkscrew is horizontal in a circular motion..

@AestheticHyro abt the translation of the first ending.. I think the subbed episodes in youtube translates the endings too. Go check it out.

no way Takamura will lose his position as the money maker, he fights in world championships and in the heavier classes !
besides 2 million yen isnt that much for a sport event ;p

Err....well, I watched it subbed so I know they translate the ending...I meant the whole song.

The main reason I was hoping someone knew the translation of the song was because I saw the translation of the short version in the anime...

@Zaloof yeah, I also know of an anime which started in the 80s and continued around last year Usually the anime caught up with the manga but I dun tink so it's the case for HnI.. I just find it weird that they intentionally stop the anime when it's been going so good

I don't think they intentionally stopped it; I think they didn't think it'd go for so long so they stopped it at the best possible part, which was Ippo getting the title. If you think about it, there's no better part to stop the anime afterwards.

However, at the rate that the manga is going, I believe that they'll actually start up a 2nd series. That's all I'm sayin'.
