Well I have no say in what Killua thinks about Silva, but when you say he begins trusting people he "just met", I think that's a bit unfair.
Literally, yeah, that might have been the case. But we all know that even in real life, there are situations that can instantly bond people, even for short periods of time, especially when you're put in life-or-death situations. Let's just say that the battle against the friggin ant king that killed oh, just Netero was indeed a life and death situation. Let's just say that for that kind of mission (the castle invasion), they had to trust every ounce of their comrades, even some of the ants, or else the mission would fail. They had to believe in each other, that the others would deliver, because it was such a big ass mission from the start that required the cooperation of everybody.
And so that's that for the ant arc characters. Now, Leorio, Kurapika, and god, should I even mention Gon- who's been stuck to Killua since day 1? These three have been to more castle-invasion-level missions with Killua than anybody. Why would you even question his trust with them? I think, that half of the manga was trying to establish their friendship?
So when you say that Killua just trusts anyone out of the blue, reread the manga, and think about what mindfuck they had to go through. Especially, this is Killua we're talking about. He's one of the most careful people about his life as there could be anyone- and that's because of how he was brought up and influenced by Illumi. When he chose not to disclose anything to his family about Alluka, he had his reasons. He knew his family longer than he knew his friends and mission partners, and he chose to tell the latter. It should be obvious why. I don't really think he has anything against his father either. They had been shown to have a pretty open relationship- he talks to Silva about things, where he couldn't tell anybody else. He'd probably been beaming about his newfound friendship but could not share it with anyone, and he was able to tell Silva all about them.
