I thought he was insulting various mangagaka's and Jump on his personal Twitter due to his low placement in Jump as well? That's what I had heard at least from the Jump threads on /a/. I could have been misled though.

EDIT: According to MAL these are the (translated) comments he was making on Twitter pre-serialzation.

At this rate I wonder if Medaka Box will continue, it has low rankings but the Otaku buy the Tankobon. Hokenshitsu no Shinigami and Ririentaru are certainly over.....

- But if I was Niizuma Eiji, I would cancel Reborn.

- I could make something 10x more interesting than Medaka Box and yet I still can't get serialized? I guess this is Jump afterall.

- It's like all the other newbie Author's are too muture, too timid, too humble, they are nothing but boring people who sit around and say nothing but harmless remarks. It would be great if their was atleast one newbie that brags but is disliked like the newbie's from the previous generation.

Yeah, those are the ones. That account was closed down as soon as he was announced to have a serial. Though one wonders if it's come back now. Also it occurs to me this conversation doesn't need to be in spoilers, scarcely relating to the original spoiler.

Ikezawa's attitude was basically like any given 2ch poster or, indeed, like the worst of the manga forums on english-speaking sites. Mindless flaming because they think they know better. It's just that he got to prove that he didn't know nearly enough to be as good as other creators.

There's no point in using spoiler tags, please don't use them. It only makes the thread harder to follow and posting more difficult. This thread is for speculation based off of anything really. We'll talk about this current "information" just like any other and if it proves to be false, then that's that. Discussion will end and we'll move on to the next thing.

But I have to agree that there's too many returning authors for that to seem genuine.

What feels fake is that all of the oneshots/new serializations posted on that are from accomplished mangaka, we all know Kurokuroku and Hime-dol! are dying

Yes, Kurokuroku and Hime-dol cancellations are certain, put obvious things doesn't make the rumour true. Sounds fake because of all this well-known authors, but we never know. It's more because the new series, one shots are not a big deal, we had something similar earlier this year.

Interesting rumour all the same, simply for the choice of authors, being two minor creators with a cult following for serials, and two creators with long-term titles with anime adaptations and that turned around their titles luck on the TOC after early difficulties (to say nothing of their similar endgames).

In fact now I say that... Yeah, that in itself is kinda weird, huh.

Pretty bummed, Kurokuroku and Hime-Doll are going to end within a few weeks, then Hachi which I don't give a shit about. But if Koi no Cupid doesn't improve in the rankings and fast it's going to be a goner... Really fucking like this series and don't want it to get cancelled.

Also incredibly bummed about Beelzebub's rank. It doesn't deserve to be in the bottom 5... It's my second favorite series in Jump right now... (favorite I guess since HxH is on hiatus). Hopefully when this current (fucking amazing) arc starts getting ranked it will jump up a lot. Saiki Kusuo no Sainan's ranking also makes me sad. It's not in too much danger yet.

Also it's weird seeing Jump suddenly doing such a push for Soul Catcher(S). First a vomic, now color pages. Guess they want it to stick around. I personally dropped it about 10 chapters in, couldn't stand the art.
