Well either way, an early glance at this week's survey says they aren't giving us a surprise new series this week, so we'll just have to wait and see if the preview lists anything for next week.

I guess the contingent of ESJ is exhausted at this point. In my opinion it would be the job of Edited Manga groups to promote new series like in the old days. But instead there are various groups who are still translating ESJ titles like One Piece, Bleach, Food Wars, Hero Academia, Toriko etc. more then once each week just for the ad-revenues I guess. And on top of that a group like mangastream even has donate-button on its website. What a fucked-up scene

Curiosity: サラダ comes from the Portuguese name for Salad: Salada.
If I remember correctly, the japanese say sarada to salad as well, so I guess it comes from that.

Because サラダ = Salada = Salad, all of them has the same meaning. However, the Etymology of the word comes from Portuguese, not from English.

Two dictionaries to prove my point.

HAHUSHAUHSA, Salad (Salada, in the case) is a very funny name to read for, us Brazilians xD
Sure... It will be funny seeing what Panini will do when they translate this spin-off. :XD

And the japanese word "sarada" comes from the Portuguese word "salada". Just remembering that Portuguese missionaries was one of the first connections between Japan and the Western culture, and a lot of words (like botan/botão, koppu/copo, pan/pão, karuta/carta) have its origin in that that.

The biggest Japanese community outside Japan is in Brazil, Portuguese influenced a lot of words because of this exchange of immigrants.

I thought the biggest community was in Peru, but yeah, it makes more sense it being Brazil since it's a bigger country.

On topic: I wonder how long are Ageha and GH going to last. Next serialization round is closing by and there seems to be no early leaks of jump insiders with news on that.

Peru is 5th: http://www.japan-talk.com/jt/new/6-biggest-Japanese-communities-outside-Japan

Not always information leaks early, I'm sure that at least one of them will be cancelled, in this case it would be Ageha IMO.

The pronouncation is rather french less portugese of Sarada. The word "salad" derives from Latin and is known in many Romance languages even in german the english word for salad is written "Salat".

It is the first time that Shiibashi is going to do something outside of fantasy, isn't? It is going to be interesting...

Yes!!!!!!!!! BLack Clover must have gotten great reception in JPN exactly how I predicted.

It is also one more strike against the "replacement" theory.

If they had access to this data, their predictions wouldn't be as terrible as they were so far. :lmao
The only one that they brought since the beginning and make considerable success was World Trigger, the rest...
