I'd say, it is slow but good. Some would argue that slow = crappy. xD
Like we are over 120+ chapters and...nah, read that for yourself to find out.^^
I forgot who said it here but somebody wrote that WT reads like a Seinen made for a Shounen magazine and I think that fits it pretty well. Just read the first 20 or 30 or 40 chapters and if you can't get into it, just drop it. :)
Someone(I guess it was even the same person?) called described WT as a sci-fi manga with a sport-manga in its core, which is quite fitting.
Indeed, the first 20 chapters are WT not easy to endure, because they are mostly explainations & exposition, and the fights arent that engaging. With chapter 20 we finally learn more about Yuma and the fight Team vs Team starts and becomes a much compelling shonen manga. Especially because with the Team vs Team fights later in the rank wars, defeat doesnt mean death, so there is always the chance for the maincharacters to lose.
And with all the character which were established till this point, the Invasion-arc actually worked, because we got to see so many different different perspectives & fights, that it actual feels like a real war. There was even a 4Chan thread only dedicated for the whole 'X minutes till the crossroads of destiny'-thing.
Overall, one of the most enjoyable manga in Shonen Jump right now.

Two manga critics even read the first 20 chapters of WT and you can see how both first hated WT, but started to like it after a while(I guess, in the period of 5 or 6 months), and with chapter 20 they became fans of WT:

not to this extent with numbers
not to this extent with the blandness

& even if all of battle shonen are doing it like WT, just because everybody else is doing it doesn't make it right

oh then it's good that someone like me who isn't a big of those kind of manga's hasn't read it xD

In terms of strategy, I agree. But that's it. For me, although they are in a war, everything still looked like a game. That's why I can not see WT as seinen (and I'm using the demography only because it allows the use of more mature themes), but as a sports manga.

Its weird really. Every time I see something like this, I start to want to read WT, but then someone here talks about how crappy it is and like magic that interest in reading it disappears. Which is it? Crappy or Good?
It starts of rather slow, so the first 20~ chapters aren't all that special (though by no means bad). Overall it depends on what you want in a manga.
If you want interesting, exciting battles with lots of team-strategy, then "World Trigger" is among the best series you could find.
It also has great, believable worldbuilding and smart writing, though in many ways it's much more... subtle than other series. There aren't characters standing out with ridiculous designs or super-crazy antics. You might get a feel for their personalities if you start to get into it, but it's way harder to put them in easily identifiable archetypes, compared to many other series of the genre.

For many the greatest drawback is the artstyle though. It's very clean, has a lot of environmental details and lends itself well to dynamic action scenes, but there is not a lot of variety in the facial expressions, which makes most characters come of as pretty stoic and not very expressive.

Overall I love the series, but I can see that it's not the same for everyone. It really depends on what your preferences are, since it's definitely very different from most shonen-battle-series.

i can't get over the fact that this a battle manga where nobody dies & nobody get injured, you know why? because they're fighting in "fake bodies" not their actual bodies. (how convenient)
Which, to me, ironically make the fights much more exiting, because the result aren't as obvious.
Seriously in most other series I basically know beforehand that "character A will win, because he wouldn't die or seriously get hurt". It even goes so far that I already know that 90% of the attacks won't properly connect anyway because of whatever reasons (if any). In "World Trigger" almost all attacks by everyone are dangerous and do damage when they should, because there basically are no plot shields or mysterious shonen-toughness to the trion bodies. And the stakes are still high enough outside of rank-battles (to a degree even inside of them), because of what the characters have to protect, so who cares how fatal the combat actually is to the participants?

As for the mass of characters: Yes, but World Trigger is really good at sharing the spotlight and utilizing them properly and still has enough room for a strong core cast. It seriously never bothered me like it does with your typical "useless cast of a thousand" series.

I think, it's difficult to explain. First, I guess, both of them started to enjoy what WT wanted to be, and second, WT ended its explaination/expositions phase and started to present more interesting fights. For the same reason, they didnt hate Black Clover so much, because they've admitted that they were wrong to hate WT so much and bc of that, they give BC a chance to prove itself.

I think, it's difficult to explain. ...
Also, don't forget, they were in a really bad mood during those times because "Cross Manage", which they loved, was constantly ranking bottom and about to end... xD

Black clover coming 13th this week in the sales with nearly 57000 copies sold. Is that good in comparison to other series' sales at this point?

It's outpacing World Trigger's early growth.

He's probably just writing. Shiibashi gets another one shot, Grand Ultimate Move was HORRIBLE.

The anime is also getting a season 2 for the next year.
I guess we will get a Jump Cast cover next week?

By the way, it is safe to assume that One Piece will get Lead color pages in double issue #5-6/2016.

Sell 57k in three days is a good number, but I expected a little more. Volume 3 sold 43k in two days, so it's a very small difference.
