This year will end Bleach (okno), Gintama, Toriko, Nisekoi and Assassination Classroom. Jump needs new hit series soon... ObaxObata and NisioxAkatsuki are out... ¿Kishimoto return? ¿Tiger-ani to Dragon by Tamura? ¿Zen'ei no Archer by Fujimaki? ¿Crematers by Sanjo and Shiibashi? ¿Shinohara Kenta (Sket Dance)? ¿Naoki Iwamoto (Magico)?

I did want to see Naoki Iwamoto returning to the magazine, right now he is drawing for a light novel though. I think it is possible to conciliate the two things, though, since light novels don't a really huge load o drawings.

Here is Fujimaki's new oneshot in Korean. It's a fantasy/action story (with another Engrish title, lol).

Bleach and Toriko could go on a bit longer if needed though, all Bleach needs to do is add more large panels with nothing happening in them and Toriko got their own arcs to go through. I fear for Nisekoi to go through a 100 chapter "love triangle drama" which girl gonna be theend girl...
AC and Gintama are the only mangas which I'm sure will end within this year and even Gintama could make it a bit longer into next year if needs come to call.
If we get new mangas I hope for Tiger-ani to Dragon, that gender-bender/race-bender one was fun to read.^^

there were many disappointments last year, especially from the returning mangakas (kagami/bc/platinum end/best blue/buddy strike...).
you know last year was bad when the best manga I read in 2015 which came out in 2015 is (Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko) which is a friggin' 4-koma from a friggin' ****** artist.
well, here's to hoping for a better 2016

Are you sure its just not that your tastes are bad? Best BLue and Buddy Strike and BLack Clover are fantastic. Platinum End is fun as well.

Actually Black clover in not even average. It is simply bad. Mix of everything. There is nothing original in it and even characters are simply plain or i would say dull. World creation is bad. I don't understand why there are people who think that black clover is good while it isn't. Ok you can like it but in a lot of aspects is not even close to being good.

I can say for sure that jump changed its readers. New readers don't bother to read older mangas that have more than 200 chapters except One Piece because it is One Piece. Now you know why there are series simply average but popular. It is easier to buy volumes and follow series that are not too old especially if they have anime.

Just because something may or may not be original does not immediately mean it cant be good.

BLack Clover succeeds on being the most refined take in the genre offering the top tier in quality in all parts that may or may not be similar to its other contemporaries.

There are plenty of masterpieces that don't have hot boys
How many hot boys are there in Lone Wolf and Cub?

I sat in a statistics course with someone who was trying their hardest to get me to read Lone Wolf and Cub and I couldn't it was too old and the art was fairly bad.

I also did attempt to read a Osamu Tezuka work and similar to the above statement its age made it hard for me to get into anything and the character designs were woefully lacking as well.

Fukumoto works would have the same problem, do you really think people would ignore that art style and character design to actually give the series a chance? It seems very doubtful and similar to why I have never tried one.

Ive tried and dropped manga/anime with all female/mostly female cast, just couldnt keep my interest as they are boring and if I cant get behind a character why keep reading it? The stories are flawed at the core. Same for nonhumans as well. Day Break Illusion - il sole penetra le illusioni is the only show where a nearly all female cast has kept my interest, and same for the first three episodes of madoka magica but then it became really terrible and bad since the rest of the cast is aggravating and annoying.

Yet you could find shitloads of manga that have hot boys and have nothing to do with quality writing. The fact that a high-quality writer can appeal to all readers wether on the aesthetical level or the intelectual level. If that was the case Manga would have died out before reaching what it is today.

Good manga IMO which contains no hot boys would be Gash bell, Law of Ueki, Seikimatsu leader den Takeshi, Dr. Slump and Kaiji.

You are entitled to your opinion although it strays far from the concensus considering how Best blue preformed and how Buddy strike is doing at the moment.

I also see a brighter future in 2016 than the last year, as I was dissappointed with my favourite author. It started amazing with Beet returning, DGM getting an anime and there would be room for at least 2 new series at least for new attention by WSJ readers as AC and Gintama is ending(stated by author). I wish Iwashiro will rise up like a phoenix to enjoy what the dawn of a new manga age will bring in the next 2 years, as Horikoshi managed to do magnificently(also another good series without an outright hot boy).

From the new series I read, I think that Dance-bu and Mononofu seemed the best and with most potential. I really want to resume the reading of both as soon as possible and see whether they continue as good as before. In the next few weeks we will have a new batch, the first one of 2016. I hope 2016 brings good new series for our delight.
