Why?
It's rankings seem pretty healthy and the volumes are selling more and more each time.

If they make the anime the right way I can see it lasting for a few years.

I predict that Black Clover will be the next Toriko. Toei is probably going to make the anime. I see it having a mixed reception. Then after 30 volumes it will fade into obscurity until it ends.

Or, BLack Clover will continue to be an enigma to me and will keep gaining popularity until it becomes the next One Piece.

I also don't think Black Clover will be a new Psyren. It's already selling more than 90K in its first week of sales, while Psyren in its peak sold 60K~70K in its first week.

If there's currently a series in Jump which may end like Psyren (a series that lasts for some time and ends with a respectable length but is unable to become a big success), I think it's more probably Hinomaru Zumou.

IMO Black Clover doesn't sell good enough given the fact that it's receiving almost the same treatment that, for example, Shokugeki no Soma got by Jump until its chapter 63
SnS: 3 covers, 14 color pages
BC: 3 covers, 16 color pages
And BC's volume 7 needed two weeks (14 days) to sell 118k while Soma's volume 7 sold 247k in 9 days... At this point BC should be selling 200k.
All it needs atm is an OVA, preferably during Jump festa. I think Toriko was selling way less with volumes 1 & 2 selling around 65k each but once it got it's ova then it sold in the mid-high 100k's.
I predict that Black Clover will be the next Toriko. Toei is probably going to make the anime. I see it having a mixed reception. Then after 30 volumes it will fade into obscurity until it ends.

I don't see Toei picking it up. Black Clover seems like it could be picked up by A1. The sumo wrestling manga is more fitting with Toei.

I really want Madhouse or TMS to do Hinomaru Sumo.

I'd find it hilarious if A-1 did Black Clover.
Worst studio, does worst manga, only continues to massively and inexplicably grow in popularity.

Shaft would be perfect for Samon.

Maybe Kyoani for Straighten Up!

Is Samon any good? The volume covers look interesting. I liked the first chapter, and I thought the second was pretty good even though it was just the first chapter again, and the third was alright. Does it get any better/worse after the first 3 chapters?

Yes, it finds its footing. The world becomes more vibrant and the character interaction improves.

I might eventually pick up Samon, but right now I'm more interested in keeping up with the MHA releases.

I don't think A-1 has ever done a Weekly Jump adaptation, so they're out the picture when it comes to the Clover anime.

It could be Toei since World Trigger ended a while back. Or Pierrot, if we assume the Shippuden anime is near its end.

My fear is that with either studio the series could turn into another Toriko or WT. It needs a fast paced anime that goes straight to the point whilst keeping the character interaction, a two cour one. And they should let the volumes gain momentum.

Who know tho, I think BC has more possibilties than both Toriko and World Trigger of becoming big. The anime announcement could be right around the corner or even months away.

Black Clover feels like it was made to have filler if it was an anime. I expect Toei or Pierrot to pick it up, and I expect it to be a long runner based on the TV ratings it receives.

Blue Exorcist runs under the Jump comics label.

LOL. You fear that a studio would turn BC into another Toriko? Do you even realize how successful Toriko was? In fact most if not all Toei animes are gold mines.

I dont think BC would reach the success of the Toriko anime since that's way too high. I don't follow WT that well but I'm sure that was quite successful too.

Toriko never had a "mixed" reception. It was loved in Japan.

A comic with a mixed reception doesn't run for 30 volumes.

Worst studio, does worst manga,
A1 is boring and average. And occasionally they work with good manga, like Space Brothers, Silver Spoon or Magi. Rarely they even do the original work justice with the adaptation, like in the former case.

Have you ever heard of this obscure manga called Barefoot Gen? Its serialization begun in this magazine.

Think when he means mixed reception, he means the anime. Toriko's anime was not well received and we all know that. It did little for the manga and messed up whatever potential Toriko had as a franchise.
Again, I agree with what people say. I don't think people would be able to take in BC for too long.

Irrespective of how BC does, I really hope BnHA does much better. At least touch 800k to 1 million.

Has Samon gone battle manga yet, or is it still mostly comedy?
