I assume this is different from the one-shot he wrote "Ayakashi Ishoku Henitai Garo" (7-12-2015) in Ishiyama Ryou Case

In Hasegawa Tomohiro case its the same most likely last one shot he drew "Shimatsu wa K"(30-11-2015). Its probably another comedy series in his case either way.

Two authors with the name tomohiro in the magazine(Written differently though)

His previous work was creative^, I liked the concept but it was bit lacking in impact and action scenes weren't specular and didn't really feel the relationship between the MC and the FMC.

Komi new oneshot look like hair colors switched Nisekoi, the dude is even wearing hair clips

It seems to be only partially based on his latest one-shot Garo. (Ishiyama case)

In Number one case if it isn't a full comedy series i might like.

This was in Jump NEXT 2014 - 04 one shot by Hasegawa Tomohiro, then the kappa one-shot Shinamatsu K that I mentioned before.
Those are the two one-shots he did after his series was cancelled.

Did I read the author comments right? Saiki author mentioned the anime being out, but no improvement in volume sales?

yes, the manga didn't get any boost from the anime, all hopes for boost fall on the live action movie shoulders now

he commented on the lack of saiki merch on the latest volume cover too
